We were delighted to get a message this week from PhD student and avid Freaky Friday listener, Alicja Nowacka. Alicja is based in the Cognitive Psychophysiology Lab at the University of Auckland. Her research explores how people maintain emotional and cognitive bonds with those who've died, particularly through the sense of presence experienced during grief. Alicja's studies look at how are feelings manifest in a multitude of ways - whether after seeing, hearing, or smelling something associated with the deceased.
