Michael Lee-Chin is one of the best known, and most philanthropic, entrepreneurs in the country. The Jamaican-raised founder and chairman of Portland Holdings, a privately held investment company, is involved in numerous sectors, including financial services, insurance, consumer goods, media, tourism and agriculture. In 1983, 13 years after moving to Canada, he bought investment firm AIC Limited, which at the time had $1 million in assets under management. Over the next two decades, AIC became one of the largest domestic financial services firms in the country, growing to $15 billion in AUM. He sold the company in 2009 and has been involved in many other businesses since. He’s taken his motto of “doing well and doing good” to heart, most famously donating $30 million to the Royal Ontario Museum in 2003. Lee-Chin is a recipient of both the Order of Jamaica and the Order of Ontario. In 2016, he was appointed Chair of the Government of Jamaica’s Economic Growth Council.

Meg Lee Chin in conversation with David Eastaugh Taiwanese-Irish singer, songwriter, audio and video producer, writer and art activist who lives in London, England. She is known as an early pioneer of the home studio revolution and female-produced music. As an early adopter of computer-based audio production, she built her own pc and created "Egg Studio" with a small mixing desk and audio interfaces. Her role in the movement toward DIY record production was first recognized when she appeared as the first home studio producer to be featured in the January 2000 Millenial issue of EQ Magazine which was the foremost high-end audio publication of its time
