Mike Woollatt is Managing Director and Head of Canada for Hamilton Lane. Dr. Hasmukh Patel is the CEO and co-founder of AgeCare, a network of nursing home facilities situated across Western Canada. She helped pioneer the single family office, managing money on behalf of her family, which started Saputo Inc., one of the leading dairy and cheese producers in the world. In this role, she got more involved in the area of family governance and helping other families transition their wealth from one generation to the next. She also helped launch the Family Wealth Program at both Concordia University and at Queens University and is also the co-founder and executive chairperson of Crysalia, a company that helps enterprising families succeed across multiple generations.
Bruce Linton is one of Canada’s leading entrepreneurs. He got his first taste of business ownership in the dot com days, as president and co-founder of WebHancer, a company that helped people measure and analyze their website’s performance. It was eventually bought by Microsoft. He’s since gone on to found several other companies, most notably Canopy Growth Corporation, where he oversaw 31 acquisitions, 16 rounds of financing and $6 billion of capital raises. As founder, CEO and chairman of Canopy, which became the largest cannabis operation in the world under his watch, he was a central player in the cannabis industry’s development.
