Hey everyone, So this one is a blast from the past for me. I came across this playlist today from 2008, I was celebrating a milestone birthday & threw a party. Every guest got a CD ( so retro these days)to take home to remember the night, full of all my favourite tracks I heard when I clubbing. Only 12 years ago & London was FULL of clubs, packed fun places to hang out & dance. Listening to these tracks made me remember all the fun hedonistic times but also made me sad to think this whole year there's been nothing here in London for anyone to enjoy. I really hope very soon there will be an explosion of amazing, funky, fun places/clubs open for all to enjoy! I've been only publishing my silly playlists online since the end of 2015, but they go back way further than that! I hope I find the enthusiasm to continue to publish new ones to listen to. Let's go back to love and kindness in times of frustration. That is the reflection of the day. I want to share with you that this week I have been challenged by people that I don't even speak with. People that I know have ill feelings towards me and want to find a way to hurt me. We all have people that want to do this to us. Unfortunately, it is a part of life. Sometimes, they affect you indirectly and other times, they affect you directly . What I mean by that is that they use other people who are close to you and love dearly to try to hurt you. That is the case for me this time. What I realized this week was that I was allowing these people to slowly get me to a space of frustration and feelings that were creating negativity. It is so easy when you have enemies to get frustrated and you want to wish ill back but it is so important that we are aware of this and when we reflect and reset, we find a way to send love and kindness because love and kindness prevails. The love and kindness that you are sending to those people will come back to you. I love a meditation that is all about love and kindness and it says, “Send those people that are your enemies, people that don't like you, love and kindness through this meditation which goes like this, “May you be happy, may you be healthy, may you be at peace!” So please reflect on the people that are causing these negative feelings in your soul and send them love and kindness to reflect, reset and reconnect. This week, Chad continues the series talking about how obscurity precedes prosperity in God's economy. When we hear the word 'prosperity' many of us cringe as we think it is referring to evangelists on television, but the reality is God wants to prosper our lives in so many ways. God desires for our relationships to prosper in richness and depth. God desires to see our marriages prosper as we cultivate resilient patience and sacrificial love. God desires for us to prosper in our work environments as we work diligently, honestly and lead the way we should to give glory to God. If we prosper financially, then we look for ways to invest in the things that matter and that build God's kingdom and not just our own.
