How many guns does a guy (or gal) really need? And, do you really need gadgets of all description to be a good rifleman? No, we don't think so... We have our good friend and excellent rifleman Jason C with us on this show, and we cover various topics of interest--we hope you'll tune in and enjoy the show. :)
It could be that the Chairman Biden pardons are not valid, as they were apparently signed with "autopen" and not actually signed by him personally. We'll have to see. And, can you really put together a long range rifle package for under 1000 dollars ?Yes--and we'll talk about one option currently on the market. And what about these deep-state activist judges? Would it be best for Trump to simply ignore their rulings (if unconstitutional)? We believe so, yes.

This is something we should all learn to recognize, and avoid these channels. And, is there any gold left in Fort Knox? DOGE will be checking, we are told.
Leupold just launched a new flagship hunting scope, called the VX-6HD Gen 2. Friends, I didn't think the first-generation VX-6HD could get any better. But by golly, Leupold has successfully improved my favorite riflescope. The new Gen 2 version has an improved, tool-less turret, a built-in throw lever on the power ring, and most importantly, it's now got the same internal guts and gears as Leupold's legendary Mark 5 line of precision/tactical scopes. In this episode, I sit down with Tim Lesser, Vice President of product development and marketing and get an awesome backstage look at the new VX-6HD Gen 2 riflescope. This was an awesome episode to record... ENJOY! FRIENDS! We're at a crucial time in the growth of the show. What is wrong with us, America? We are drowning in pointless paranoia. There is a Way out! (We'll tell you about it)... And, we discuss the 7mm PRC vs. the 7mm Remington Magnum... and "belted magnums" (where and how did this start?) ... And, how did John Browning come up with the 50 BMG (you might be surprised!) ... We talk about these and other things on this week's show. We hope you'll tune in. :)
Folks, I've been waiting for months to talk about this awesome new 7mm PRC load that Barnes just announced. Featuring a 160-grain LRX with new cutting-edge tip and profile technology, it shoots sub-half-MOA five-shot groups using my 7.25-lb (complete setup) mountain rifle. This bullet has a best-in-class BC among monometal bullets, rating 0.608 (doplar radar verified). Generating 3,050 fps in 24-inch barrels, it's a precision sledgehammer ideal for any North American big game short of the big northern bear species. On this episode, Barnes Bullet's lead ballistician Gregg Sloan joins me and shares the genesis story of this special bullet and factory ammo, along with the nitty-gritty details of it's performance. Here's a sneak peak: In typical elk country of 7,000 to 10,000 feet altitude, it stays supersonic past 2,000 yards, carries 1,800+ fps of bullet-expanding velocity past 1,100 yards, and impacts with 1,000 ft/lbs of energy clear out to 1,200 yards. Gregg Sloan is a fellow .280 Ackley Improved lover, too. Is this magic 160-grain bullet compatible with it? Listen in to find out! FRIENDS! This episode explains how knowing fundamental ballistics help us make clean, ethical kills in the field. Jayden Quinlan (ballistic mastermind at Hornady) shines the light on how to compensate for steep angles, for wind, and for bullet drop in various air density and temperatures. We talk hunting bullets and the evolution of projectiles and how to choose the right modern hunting bullet for your hunting tasks. What a terrific, informative, entertaining discussion... Now, if I can just convince Springfield to add the .280 Ackley Improved... This brief episode details the rifle: concept, components, ergonomics, accuracy probability and guarantee, and so forth. In this episode I would like to share with you personally why I have worked so hard in documenting our shooting school to put online and to share. This is the story of Wolf Precision and Jamie Dodson as we grew through the years in our ability to do and eventually teach. Now, as I get older I would like to document all that we have learned to share and live forever. Even after I am long gone, I hope to leave something behind of value for the next generation of shooters. I also wanted to take the time to do it while I was still young enough and on my A game. Because eventually we all start to slow down and forget some many things we have learned over the years. This is my story, my life's journey and I hope to share it with those who love or have a passion for learning the fundamentals of marksmanship and wanting to grow into the best shooter they can be. One of my first experiences trying to get into long range match shooting was something that I think a lot of us have experienced. You show up to play the game then are belittled or looked down upon because you can't afford the name brand or custom equipment that others can. I have personally experienced being judged and left feeling like I shouldn't be there because I can't afford to play the game at their level, being scoffed at like a blue collar worker at the yacht club. Worst yet, you are left feeling like "why bother?" because you feel you have no chance of competing because you can't afford to play the game at their level while others have the means to buy their way into the winners circle. My life's work was to be able to bridge that gap between factory and custom. And then, go one step further, leap frog in front of those who think that if you pay more, they will get more. Changing the industry and blurring the line between factory and custom because we can improve the quality and close the money gap at the same time. To provide an alternative, something better than custom or a name brand. A premium rifle using premium parts and built using next generation technology and machine tools that drive innovation and eventually lowers the cost for all. And create a system that provides that level over and over, week after week and year after year is our dream and the mark of progress. That is the future where everyone deserves to have a great shooting rifle, one they can be proud to own and will never leave you feeling it's a game that only the rich can play. The business of making precission rifles can seem to some to be over saturated when you start searching for a company to build that dream rifle. As a buyer we are going to be taking many factors into account as we choose these incredibly accurate and reliable pieces of craftmanship.Johnathan Angner and his company Badlands Rifle Company take all of these factors into account and they want their customers to not only get the firearm of their dreams but they want to make sure that their clients are prepared to use and understand everything about these works of art. They offer shooting schools that will better prepare you to use that rifle as you target a Dahl Sheep across a valley or an antelope across a rolling plain. Regardless the situation you are blessed to be in they want to make sure that you and your rifle are ready for that moment that opportunity and preperation cross paths, We enjoyed learning more about this great company that is really starting to leave it's mark in the precission rifle industry. But they not only have the tools to help you accomplish your goals, they also offer the option to help you relax as you plan that dream hunt with Rolling Bones Outdoors. One of the toughest part about scheduling a dream hunt, regardless the target species, is securing the licenses/tags for these. They are here to handle all those needs and let you worry less about those points in various states as they manage all your application processes and your point accrual to fullfilling that opportunity at a dream target species. Thank you to Jonathan for taking the time to sit with us and we hope you enjoy it and reach out to them for more info. Is there a predator-hunting cartridge that outperforms all others? There is, and it's called the 22 Creedmoor. It's designed for maximum performance with modern, high-BC .22-caliber centerfire bullets, and as a result is much more effective than classic favorites such as the .22-250. Skeptical? I admit I sure was. Research showed me that the 22 Creedmoor doesn't just outperform the .22-250 and other popular predator rounds, it eclipses them. Want some numbers? The 22 Creedmoor is more effective at 800 yards than the .22-250 is at 500 yards. It has less than half the wind drift. It impacts with more than double the energy and a whole lot more velocity downrange. Wildcatted and promoted by serious coyote competition callers in Texas, the 22 Creedmoor has just been legitimized by Hornady and is now a proper factory-loaded cartridge. Horizon Firearms has exclusive marketing priveledges for Hornady ammo, and makes the finest 22 Creedmoor factory-ready rifles I've seen anywhere—for half the cost you'd expect. This was a unique project with a result that really surprised me. Candidly, I had no idea just how good the 22 Creedmoor would prove to be. ENJOY! FRIENDS! Tonight we have The Cheese in the house, and we discuss what rifles and cartridges typically win in long range competitions... and, we talk about EDC numbskullery on YouTube (and those who buy into it)... and among other things, we finish with a discussion about "chemtrails" and what they might actually be (and what they almost certainly are not)... we hope you'll listen in! :)
Many long range shooting schools are selling bogus information and selling their clients useless information, and an inflated sense of true knowledge. We go over the reasons for this. And, how do you really test the resilience of a rifle scope? It's not that hard, but few people are actually equipped to do it.
Can the 6.5 Creedmoor make the mile target? Oh hell yeah! And, how can spotting bullet trace make you a better shooter? We discuss this. And, does the Deep State have Deep Fake FBI, ATF, et al? (It's honestly looking like it)... we talk about this and more on tonight's show. We hope you'll tune in. :)
This is the second of a new podcast element: fast-paced, fact-filled five-minute episodes showcasing three top backcountry hunting tools, tricks or techniques. We're calling them the "Top 3 In 5" bonus episodes. Spotlighted here are three of our all-time favorite lightweight hunting scopes. They span a price range of $500 to $1,650, and all are light enough to pack up mountains, are feature-filled so they'll hunt as hard and as far as you can, and are of premium quality, so they provide great durability, light transmission, image clarity, color purity, and so on. Also soon to come: Boots, packs, knives, elk cartridges, elk calls, multitools, tents, bear guns, movies, and more! These "Top 3 In 5" minute episodes will drop as frequently as we have time during this busy hunting season, and by Christmas will be a weekly Tuesday-morning addition to the podcast's regular schedule. ENJOY! www.patreon.com/backcountry
We had two top tier clients to work with today, and they proficiency-advanced to 1200 yards quickly, then they both got solid hits at our 1 mile target. We talk briefly about the Mighty 500 Smith & Wesson revolver--the beast of the hand-cannons, to be sure. All this and more on tonight's podcast. We hope you'll tune in! :)
What exactly does standing on your "hind legs" mean? We talk about the 277 Sig Fury, the 7mm PRC, the 7mm Remington Magnum... and plenty more. What has happened in Maui? Very strange... the globalist cabal is on the move, and heading for the Lake of Fire.
We had some pro-level help cleaning up the target areas and trails last Thursday. Major accolades to Vinnie, Buck, Clay and Steve... totally COOL~! :) And... Hornady's 147 grain .264 caliber ELDM is perhaps the most amazing 6.5mm projectile ever invented. But now... to get Steve to make it without dropping the ball in the QC department (and you know what we're talking about Steve... don't lie!)... . :/ And, would you like to earn a free weekend class? It's not so hard--listen and learn how!
We discuss the ways that the top shooters practice, and how this can benefit you. We talk about Vlodimir Zelensky's butt-piracy, as well as his role as a CIA sock-puppet... and his likely end. And let's dip some Oreos in Basil Hayden (it's awesome!)... and much, much more. Tune in, and let us know what you think. :)
Zelensky is a flaming homo product of the cabal (look up the videos)... and grifters from the so-called Ukraine are showing their true colors... recipes for mechanically separated communists (potted commie meat)... and the 6.5 PRC truly delivers. :) All this and more in this week's episode of The BangSteel Long Range Shooting Podcast. We hope you'll tune in. :)

Those least deserving of freedom and liberty often set themselves against law enforcement--that is, until they actually need a cop; then of course they "buy in"... momentarily, at least. And, we discuss the significance of court decisions in the greater scheme of freedom... How much do they really matter? Will liberty not ultimately need to be defended with firearms? (probably)... we also talk about AR-15's, barrel break-in, the shooter's notebook, "veteran worship" and more... we hope you'll tune in.
When do constitutionalists begin to believe? Do we doom ourselves? (we shouldn't)... Spotting tactics and techniques... Handloading skullduggery (just stop, okay?)... Twitter, the new frontier? (Let's hope)... Is Elon Musk a deep stater? Or, are those calling him such the useful idiots of the deep state? (Let's talk)...
Will America "balkanize?" (it is possible, keep a watch on Texas)... and how important are follow up shots? (more important than the first shot, actually)... and, how well do you know your enemy? (you probably have no clue but we'll talk about how social media shill accounts can help you do some reconnaissance)... and more. We're pretty much sober through the first fifty minutes, so listen in! :)
The deeps have raided Mar A Lago, perhaps in desperation (?) ... and will the .223 Remington make 1000 yards shots? The deaths continue to mount from what is likely the "vaccine" ... should you worry? (perhaps not, we will explain)... and the 6mm Creedmoor continues to make inroads into long range shooting competitions, rightfully so... and more. Check this one out!
Exposing posers (it's not that hard)... and what about a compact 308 Long Range Rifle? It'll get the job done. ;) And did you fall for the 10 year old girl getting pregnant from a rape story? (You shouldn't have)... all of this plus Pro 2nd Amendment cases and outcomes looking better every day! We hope you'll tune in. :)
We discuss the top five (our picks) production rifles under 2000 dollars (some are closer to 1000 dollars)... and did Bill Gates say he would reduce world population with vaccines? Yes, you'll hear the bastard in his own words. And, Prince Charles shows us why we need to keep our long range shooting skills sharp (he said he'd send in the military to bring in globalism, you'll hear the SOB in his own words)... and what is happening to the birth rate worldwide? And the heightened death rate in 2021 (it's a massive shift and it's *not* the virus--that's for sure)... Very curious stuff... we hope you'll tune in. :)
Are you seeing more expired food items at you local grocery store lately? (If you're paying attention, you are)... and "shooter mindset" (what is this?)... And, what did those who signed the Declaration of Independence put at risk? (you might be surprised)... and more, as usual. We hope you'll tune in. :)
We have several long range shooting competitors in this bonus episode. We discuss recent SCOTUS rulings on the 2nd Amendment, as well as match winning strategies. And... is the 270 Winchester good at long range? (spoiler alert, yes!)... Norma and RUAG bringing good ammo at low cost to America. Cool! :)
We discuss strategies and options for .22 Long Rifle PRS shooting... and SCOTUS and abortion (where are you on this issue?)... also, what has happened to the attendance of PRS? Are they really on their way(?) out? Perhaps... or is there some butt-piratrery going on in the ranks? We'll discuss all this and more on tonight's episode. We' hope you'll tune in. :)
