O embrião do Posers surgiu em 2008, mas o guitarrista e vocalista Guilherme Colosio e o multi-instrumentista Pedro Miranda somente retomaram as atividades em 2020. "Voltamos justamente em um período em que a humanidade foi forçada a se recolher e olhar para dentro de si. Devido ao isolamento social imposto pela pandemia, tivemos uma oportunidade de resgatar coisas que nos faziam bem e bastavam por si. A música foi um desses resgates", comenta Colosio. O primeiro fruto do retorno do Posers se deu com o lançamento do single e lyric video de "Razão", composta há mais de 10 anos, mas que vem acompanhada de uma estética condizente ao contexto político atual. Além de referências ao metal industrial e ao gótico, especialmente Rammstein e Lacrimosa, o duo traz uma estética focada no clássico e em peças de teatro, principalmente na obra de Shakspeare. "Pedro e eu também nos interessamos por assuntos místicos, que são recorrentes e permeiam nossos trabalhos", observa Colosio. "A música é o que movimenta a minha vida e é um privilégio me comunicar por meio dela. A arte é um espaço livre de julgamento e consequência", acrescenta Pedro Miranda, formado em Licenciatura em Música pela UNESP e que atualmente dá aulas particulares de bateria, violão, piano, teoria musical e musicalização infantil. Sobre o nome, Colosio explica: "Queríamos um nome para impactar e 'poser' seria uma provocação sobre identidade – o pai, o filho, o herói, o vilão e o trabalhador, que se engaja tanto com a função que acaba por se diluir na persona. Assim, adotamos Posers, que até gerou um estranhamento em um primeiro momento para nós, porque poderia dar a entender sermos uma banda de glam metal dos anos 1980. The Shepherd's Tabernacle would be a better translation of that word tent and as the comparison of the previous verses both the tents of Kedar, (not spelled the same way at all) or by the veiled or covered companions in verse 7 - Posers. Jesus had the Tax collectors and prostitutes in His tent and there is where He told Peter to feed his sheep. This is the one about meeting a "Dunning Kruger" effect person and what to do about it. The world is filled with all kinds of people; thankfully, most of them are genuine and good - these people are wired correctly. However, some are just a bit cross-wired, like the person with Imposter Syndrome, which is part of our story today. I love helping people get over this, and you will, too, because you can (and should) always help someone who is a little cross-wired. But some people are just wired-wrong from the factory, and there's no helping them. They may disrupt, they may con, they might lie, steal, and cheat; they have a trait in common - they're a Poser! Sometimes you can spot them quickly, but most often, they hide in plain sight for quite a while. Anyone who is wired wrong knows it and embraces it for odd reasons, and they use it to take advantage of situations and poison the organization and the culture. You can't help them or re-wire them, and it's not your job anyway. Your job is done when you get rid of them.You've all seen them, and you've worked with them; you've had a bad experience with them. You may have even asked: "How did they ever hire that guy!" or as I said once or twice in my career: "How did I ever hire that person?" Posers are good at the game!Poser is mostly a slang term, and we've all used it to describe someone who exhibits that behavior. But did you know there is science behind this?It's classically known as the Dunning-Kruger Effect, and in this episode, we muse over that and more.
