Comme en 2020, date du premier match, et en 2023, les places se sont arrachées en quelques heures. Sans doute que la NBA aurait pu organiser deux, voire trois matches à Paris, tant l'engouement est grand dans la capitale.Pourtant, il y a près de 40 ans, le plus grand joueur de l'histoire était passé incognito à Paris. Tour d'horizon d'une semaine particulière pour tous fans de la balle orange. C'est la mauvaise nouvelle de la semaine, Ja Morant doit se faire opérer de l'épaule. Après sa suspension de 25 matchs et un retour tonitruant sur les parquets, le meneur superstar va manquer le reste de la saison. Hoggard had 16 points and seven assists to help four teammates reach double figures, lifting Michigan State to a 70-57 win over No. 23 Rutgers. The Spartans overcame an awful start, trailing by nine in the opening minutes, to lead 36-30 at halftime and by as much as 16 points in the second half. The Scarlet Knights pulled within two points twice, but gave up seven straight points to trail 50-41 midway through the second half, ending their comeback hopes. Clifford Omoruyi had 12 points and 12 rebounds for Rutgers. Maryland 64, Michigan 58 – Young sparks Maryland late, knocks off Michigan, 64-58 Jahmir Young scored 26 points and Maryland took command of the game over the final 10 minutes to beat Michigan, snapping a five-game losing streak to the Wolverines with a 64-58 victory. The game tipped off the second-round of Big Ten Conference play. The school made the announcement Thursday. The 63-year-old Brey has won 481 games since taking the Fighting Irish job in July 2000. Both his victory total and 23-year tenure are school records. Notre Dame went from stagnant program to NCAA Tournament regular. Brey also helped the Fighting Irish emerge as a title contender in two different conferences. After ending a five-year tourney drought last year, Notre Dame has struggled to a 9-8 record this season and is 1-5 in Atlantic Coast Conference games. James Harris, the chief of community relations and public information officer for the fire department, says two men believed to be in their 20s who had been near the leak suffered chemical burns. The fire department's hazmat team remained at the scene monitoring the situation an hour after the leak was sealed. The cause of the leak hasn’t been released. James Harris, the chief of community relations and public information officer for the fire department, says two men believed to be in their 20s who had been near the leak suffered chemical burns. The fire department's hazmat team remained at the scene monitoring the situation an hour after the leak was sealed. The cause of the leak hasn’t been released. The Spartans overcame an awful start, trailing by nine in the opening minutes, to lead 36-30 at halftime and by as much as 16 points in the second half. The Scarlet Knights pulled within two points twice, but gave up seven straight points to trail 50-41 midway through the second half, ending their comeback hopes. Maryland 64, Michigan 58 – Young sparks Maryland late, knocks off Michigan, 64-58 Jahmir Young scored 26 points and Maryland took command of the game over the final 10 minutes to beat Michigan, snapping a five-game losing streak to the Wolverines with a 64-58 victory. The school made the announcement Thursday. The 63-year-old Brey has won 481 games since taking the Fighting Irish job in July 2000. Both his victory total and 23-year tenure are school records. Notre Dame went from stagnant program to NCAA Tournament regular. Brey also helped the Fighting Irish emerge as a title contender in two different conferences. After ending a five-year tourney drought last year, Notre Dame has struggled to a 9-8 record this season and is 1-5 in Atlantic Coast Conference games. James Harris, the chief of community relations and public information officer for the fire department, says two men believed to be in their 20s who had been near the leak suffered chemical burns. The fire department's hazmat team remained at the scene monitoring the situation an hour after the leak was sealed. The cause of the leak hasn’t been released. The leak occurred in the arena's basement Thursday. James Harris, the chief of community relations and public information officer for the fire department, says two men believed to be in their 20s who had been near the leak suffered chemical burns. The fire department's hazmat team remained at the scene monitoring the situation an hour after the leak was sealed. The cause of the leak hasn’t been released. No events were scheduled for Thursday night. MHSAA – High School Sports Last Night Boys Basketball BCS Our Lady of the lake 66, Covert 44 Our Lady of the Lake picked up their third straight win with a 66-44 win at Covert.  Owen McLoughlin, who is our current WSJM Sports Player of the Week had a game high 43 points for the Lakers.  McLoughlin connected on 11 three point shots, which breaks the Our Lady of the Lake school record.  Matt Lage added 14 points for the Lakers. Hoggard had 16 points and seven assists to help four teammates reach double figures, lifting Michigan State to a 70-57 win over No. 23 Rutgers. The Spartans overcame an awful start, trailing by nine in the opening minutes, to lead 36-30 at halftime and by as much as 16 points in the second half. The Scarlet Knights pulled within two points twice, but gave up seven straight points to trail 50-41 midway through the second half, ending their comeback hopes. Clifford Omoruyi had 12 points and 12 rebounds for Rutgers. Maryland 64, Michigan 58 – Young sparks Maryland late, knocks off Michigan, 64-58 Jahmir Young scored 26 points and Maryland took command of the game over the final 10 minutes to beat Michigan, snapping a five-game losing streak to the Wolverines with a 64-58 victory. The game tipped off the second-round of Big Ten Conference play. Michigan posted a 35-point rout of the Terrapins, 81-46 in their first meeting on New Year’s Day.  Hunter Dickinson posed a double-double to lead Michigan (10-8, 4-3), scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds while blocking three shots. The school made the announcement Thursday. The 63-year-old Brey has won 481 games since taking the Fighting Irish job in July 2000. Both his victory total and 23-year tenure are school records. Notre Dame went from stagnant program to NCAA Tournament regular. Brey also helped the Fighting Irish emerge as a title contender in two different conferences. After ending a five-year tourney drought last year, Notre Dame has struggled to a 9-8 record this season and is 1-5 in Atlantic Coast Conference games. Ces deux franchises totalisent neuf titres de champion à elles deux. Mais pourquoi les Bulls ne font plus autant peur ? Ont-ils besoin d'une superstar pour exister ? La NBA repose ses valises à Paris ! Après une première édition du NBA Paris Game en 2020 qui avait opposé les Hornets et les Bucks, ce sont les Chicago Bulls et les Detroit Pistons qui s'affronteront à l'Accor Arena ce jeudi. Un événement unique qui permettra à des milliers de Français de vivre l'expérience NBA en France. Qui remportera ce match ? Quel joueur marquera de son empreinte la rencontre ? L'autre événement de la semaine était le MLK Day. Véritable rendez-vous de la saison NBA, Jayson Tatum s'est fait remarqué avec une performance historique. La Superstar des Celtics a planté 51 points au nez et à la barbe des Hornets battant un record de Larry Bird, devenant à seulement 24 ans le Celtics avec le plus de matchs à plus de 50 points. Avec cette nouvelle performance dans un soir de gala, Jayson Tatum a-t-il pris une nouvelle option sur le titre de MVP ? Dans la soirée, les Sixers affronteront les Clippers dans ce qui est le gros match du soir. Kawhi Leonard en grande forme sur les 4 derniers matchs affrontera Joel Embiid qui est dans une saison de calibre MVP. C'est aussi l'affrontement entre deux outsiders au titre de champion NBA. Qui des Sixers ou des Clippers remportera la rencontre ?
