Jahadi White and Matt Modderno discuss Ryan Rollins being waived by the Wizards and the reporting by Josh Robbins of The Athletic about Rollins being accused of shoplifting. Jahadi talks about seeing weird behavior from some teammates in the past but neither of us remember anything quite like this. Hamidou Diallo has been signed to a 10-day contract to fill the open roster spot so we break down that addition. We also give our thoughts on the trade value of Tyus Jones and Kyle Kuzma and whether they will be moved at the deadline. Additionally, we cover Jones's elite pick-and-roll offense, Bilal Coulibaly's offensive usage and defensive impact, changes to the starting lineup, drafting more French players, and Jahadi's role in the SyFy movie "Showdown at Area 51." Who should the Kentucky Wildcats go after to help bolster their frontcourt depth? On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe gives three players that Kentucky basketball should go after not named Hunter Dickinson, the star Michigan transfer. There aren't a lot of options right now that would be better or as overall talented as Dickinson. John Calipari could go after Virginia transfer Kadin Shedrick... but it looks like Missouri, Xavier, Duke and Texas are going after him. The Wildcats could look at Moussa Cisse, but there doesn't seem to be any interest. Is Kentucky hurting themselves by hoping that Oscar Tshiebwe will come back to college for one more season? Zoom Diallo (not related to Hamidou Diallo) is a five star point guard that Kentucky basketball has recently shown interest in. Would he be a good fit for the Wildcats? Diallo himself thinks so. Their latest big trade comes the day after division-rival Tampa Bay paid a hefty price to acquire forward Tanner Jeannot from Nashville. Talent continues to flow to Eastern Conference contenders ahead of the NHL trade deadline Friday. In recent days, New Jersey got big winger Timo Meier from San Jose and Boston traded with Washington for Garnet Hathaway and Dmitry Orlov.  Toronto sent a conditional 2025 first-round pick, a second-rounder in 2026, prospect Pavel Gogolev and forward Joey Anderson to the Blackhawks for Lafferty, McCabe and conditional fifth-round picks in 2024 and ‘25. Chicago is retaining half of McCabe's salary.  Dubas, in his fifth season as Leafs general manager, said talks with Chicago counterpart Kyle Davidson predated trades by the Lightning and Bruins, but isn’t downplaying the value of keeping up knowing how difficult the first couple of rounds will be this spring. Tonight Detroit Red Wings at Ottawa Senators, 7:00 p.m. Chicago Blackhawks at Arizona Coyotes, 9:00 p.m. NHL – Maple Leafs up ante in East by making trade with Blackhawks The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired forward Sam Lafferty and defenseman Jake McCabe from the Chicago Blackhawks. NBA – National Basketball Association Last Night Charlotte Hornets 117, Detroit Pistons 106 Hornets 117, Pistons 106 – Ball fractures ankle in Hornets’ 117-106 win over Pistons LaMelo Ball made six 3-pointers before breaking his right ankle in the third quarter, and the Charlotte Hornets held on to beat the Detroit Pistons 117-106 for their fifth straight victory. Terry Rozier scored 22 points and Gordon Hayward had 19 points for Charlotte, which is still second-to-last in the Eastern Conference standings — ahead of only Detroit. Ball finished with 18 points. He was hurt on a non-contact play, and the Hornets announced after the game that he had fractured his right ankle. Hamidou Diallo and James Wiseman each scored 23 points for the Pistons. Detroit did not doom its chances, but it must close with wins over Chicago on Sunday at home and against wild-card contending Green Bay on the road next week to have a shot at being in the postseason for the first time since 2016. NFL/NCAA – Big Ten – AP source: Big Ten’s Warren candidate for Bears president Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren has spoken to the Chicago Bears about becoming the team's next president and CEO. A person with knowledge of the situation confirmed the talks to The Associated Press. The Bears are searching for a president to replace the retiring Ted Phillips. The teams are essentially shells of themselves right now. The 19th-ranked Fighting Irish and the 20th-ranked Gamecocks will be without several of their best players when they meet in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl on Friday. Their first matchup since 1984 is more like a preview of 2023 than a wrap of 2022. Notre Dame is switching quarterbacks and playing without All-American tight end Michael Mayer while South Carolina is even more short-handed. NCAAFB – Rising stars: Michigan’s Moore, TCU’s Riley guide CFP teams Michigan’s Sherrone Moore and TCU’s Garrett Riley will arrive at the Fiesta Bowl for a College Football Playoff semifinal Saturday between No. 2 Michigan and No. 3 TCU as rising-star offensive coordinators. A couple of millennials with old souls, Moore and Riley seem to be on a fast-track to head coaching jobs —- eventually. Neither is in a rush to move up, but it’s apparent bigger things lie ahead in their careers. NCAAFB – Michigan graduate assistant a trailblazer for female coaches Mimi Bolden-Morris of Michigan is believed to be the first female graduate assistant football coach at a Power Five school since the late 1980s. Bolden-Morris will be on the sideline Saturday when the second-ranked Wolverines play No. 3 TCU at the Fiesta Bowl in a College Football semfinal. The 23-year-old Bolden-Morris played basketball at Boston College and Georgetown. She reached out to college football programs across the country to inquire about potential opportunities. She works with the tight ends at Michigan. NCAAFB – Confident Edwards a key cog for Michigan at Fiesta Bowl Donovan Edwards is good and knows he’s good. The Michigan running back will tell you he’s good. It’s been hard to argue with his proclamations so far. Given a bigger role after Blake Corum’s injury, Edwards has thrived in the spotlight and will be a key cog in the No. 2 Wolverines’ bid to beat TCU in the Fiesta Bowl. Edwards shined in Michigan’s two biggest games of the season, running for 401 combined yards and three touchdowns in wins over Ohio State and Purdue. The Fiesta Bowl winner will play for a national championship. MLB – Cubs finalize 2-year deal with catcher Tucker Barnhart The Chicago Cubs have finalized a $6.5 million, two-year contract with Gold Glove-winning catcher Tucker Barnhart. Barnhart is expected to back up Yan Gomes. Willson Contreras was the starting catcher for Chicago last season, but he signed an $87.5 million, five-year contract with St. Louis during free agency.
