He has written numerous articles published in The Lutheran Witness, Logia, and Seelsorger, including a monograph "What does this mean? Responding to Social Justice and Critical Race Theory" (2021).  Woodford is a member of the Board of Regents of Concordia University, St. Paul, MN. Æmen Ededéen lived and worked in San Francisco and then Los Angeles for fifteen years before moving to Roswell, New Mexico in 2018 as a grant recipient of the year-long Roswell Artist in Residence Program. He and his wife, the artist Maja Ruznic, have since made New Mexico home and have recently welcomed their first child, a daughter, into the world. Hagler was born at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho in 1979 and is a first-generation college graduate with a visual communications degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson. Self-directed research and travel has underpinned Hagler's career and is essential to how the artist integrates creative influences with his life experience. 2018 saw two museum shows at the Brand Library and Art Center in Los Angeles and the Roswell Museum and Art Center in New Mexico entitled "The River Lethe" and "Love Letters to the Poorly Regarded" respectively. 2021 marks two solo exhibitions for Hagler with "Drawing in the Dark" at Cris Worley in Dallas and "The Living Circle Us" at Unit London, curated by David Anfam. He has exhibited paintings, sculpture, video, and animation in galleries and museums in North and South America, Europe, and Australia including a long list of solo exhibitions. En otras palabras, lo que se está diciendo es que el saber más profundo es innato y que lo olvidamos al encarnar en el plano físico, quedando velado por la experiencia sensible y el olvido. Los griegos hablaban del río Leteo, cuyas aguas provocaban el olvido total del alma antes de su encarnación, y de la diosa Aletheia, que significa “des-ocultamiento” o “verdad revelada”. Así, recordar es un acto cosciente de desvelar lo que ya habita en nuestro interior, quitando uno a uno los velos del olvido. En otros puntos del globo, otros maestros e iniciados llegaron a la misma conclusión. En la India, Ramana Maharshi insistía en que la realización del Ser no implicaba obtener algo nuevo: “Ya somos el Ser -decía- sólo el Ser es. La ignorancia es la que nos hace imaginar que no hemos realizado el Ser”. Desde esta perspectiva del vedanta advaita, ya somos aquello que buscamos; simplemente lo hemos olvidado bajo las capas de ignorancia, y el camino espiritual es un proceso de remover esos velos para reconocer nuestra naturaleza eterna.

When Christ says that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, the word used for “truth” is ἀλήθεια, which includes within its lexical scope ‘uncovering' or ‘revelation' (it is a negating word, like “innocence” in English). That which covers, distorts, or perverts the truth is contrary to God, for God is Truth. As Christians, it is our duty not only to believe and speak the truth about matters written in God's Word, but also to believe and speak the truth about matters written in God's Creation. When Christ stood before Pilate, Pilate asked Him: Quid est veritas? What is truth? (Veritas is the Roman goddess of truth, Aletheia the Greek.) His inquiry may very well have been in earnest, for truth was certainly a core pursuit of Ancient Greek and Ancient Roman philosophy — something with which a statesman was expected to have some familiarity. Little did Pilate know (at the time) that it was Truth Himself Who stood before him. The modern world would seek to reduce most things to matters of opinion, and, even in those cases where an admission is made that what is at stake is truth, the modern world will often pick the lie. The Christian is not permitted to concede such territory, for God is Truth and all Truth is One. To deny the reality (i.e., the truth) of Creation is, ultimately, to deny the Creator Himself, which is blasphemy or even apostasy. It is meritorious and dutiful to defend the truth, but we must be willing to defend all truth, not simply those that are acceptable in the eyes of society or do not come at a personal cost. Kevin Lindlau is one of the rare birds in drytooling who excels at both comp *and* outdoor climbing. In January, Kevin completed the second ascent of “Aletheia”, rated D16 ✅, becoming only the second person in the world to climb the grade. (There's some nuance here since other routes have been proposed at D16, but this is the first route that has been repeated and the grade corroborated). Anywho, on the comp side, Kevin was the first American to ever make World Cup Finals in Lead in 2019, and he has regularly made Finals since. In this episode, we talk about:
