“You're going to stay in this marriage.” This was the message Nicole Berlucchi heard from God. Before this, Nicole was convinced she was doing most of the work at home and in her marriage. Her friends told her she was a “saint” for putting up with her husband. To top it off, Nicole's husband was unwilling to go to therapy. Nicole was sure God was on her side. Nicole left her husband for four days to discern if she was going to leave him. While Nicole entered this time of discernment relatively certain she was headed for divorce, God made it clear that Nicole needed to change and give her marriage a chance. Nicole engaged in a very difficult season of healing that resulted in the transformation of her heart and marriage. Listen to this mini-retreat in a podcast in Mamas in Spirit's Lenten Series: HEAL. Allow God to help you remove barriers to love and be loved. Nicole Berlucchi is the author of “Magnify Love: Unlocking the Heart of Jesus in Your Marriage and Your Life.”

Read OnlineMerry Christmas! Our Advent preparations have been completed, and we are now invited by our Lord to enter into the glorious celebration of His birth! How well do you understand the awe-inspiring mystery of Christmas? How fully do you comprehend the significance of God becoming a human, born of a virgin? Though many are quite familiar with the beautiful and humble story of the birth of the Savior of the World, that familiarity can have the surprising negative effect of keeping our intellect from deeply probing the depths of the meaning of what we celebrate.Notice the last line of the Gospel passage quoted above: “And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart.” What a beautiful line to ponder this Christmas day. Mother Mary was the one person who would have understood the mystery of the birth of her Son, the Son of God, the Savior of the World, far more deeply than anyone else. It was to her that the Archangel Gabriel appeared, announcing her pregnancy and His birth. It was her who carried her Son, the Son of God, in her Immaculate womb for nine months. It was to her that Elizabeth, her cousin, cried out, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb” (Luke 1:42). It was Mary who was the Immaculate Conception, the one who was preserved from all sin throughout her life. And it was her who gave birth to this Child, carried Him in her arms and nursed Him at her breast. Our Blessed Mother, more than any other, understood the incredible event that had taken place in her life. But, again, the Gospel above says that “Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart.” One thing this tells us is that even Mary, the Mother of Jesus and the Mother of God, needed time to ponder, reflect and savor this most holy mystery. She never doubted, but her faith continually deepened, and her heart pondered the unfathomable and incomprehensible mystery of the Incarnation.Another thing this tells us is that there is no end to the depth of the “pondering” to which we must commit ourselves if we want to enter more deeply into the mystery of the birth of the Son of God. Reading the story, setting up a nativity scene, sharing Christmas cards, attending Mass and the like are central to a holy celebration of Christmas. But “pondering” and “reflecting,” especially during prayer and especially at the Christmas Mass, will have the effect of drawing us ever deeper into this Mystery of our Faith. Reflect, today, with our Blessed Mother. Ponder the Incarnation. Place yourself into the scene that first Christmas. Hear the sounds of the town. Smell the smells of the stable. Watch as the shepherds come forth in adoration. And enter the mystery more fully, acknowledging that the more you know about the mystery of Christmas, the more you know how little you actually know and understand. But that humble realization is the first step to a deeper understanding of what we celebrate this day.Lord, I gaze at the wonder of Your birth. You Who are God, the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity, God from God and Light from Light, became one of us, a humble child, born of a virgin and laid in a manger. Help me to ponder this glorious event, to reflect upon the mystery with awe and to more fully grasp the meaning of what You have done for us. I thank You, dear Lord, for this glorious celebration of Your birth into the world. Jesus, I trust in You.Source of content: catholic-daily-reflections.comCopyright © 2024 My Catholic Life! Inc. May a Deacon provide any sacraments? What are the "must-know" things for every Catholic? What are the guidelines for use of yoga and meditation to relieve stress for health purposes? What should we as Catholics be doing to help Christians who are being persecuted in Ukraine? Should we be contacting Congress? What can, or should, we do to help from afar? Recently, Pope Francis was quoted as saying he was not blessing homosexual couples, he was blessing 2 people who loved each other. Is this possible in a homosexual relationship in light of the Catholic view of "love?" How do you get delivered from something you feel is so demonic and tormenting that everywhere you turn you seem to hit a brick wall and you're always going around in circles? Please explain the State of Grace. If you cannot get to confession immediately because perhaps the Church has a schedule that is not fitting your need, do you need to, or should you, pray the Hail Mary prior to the Act of Contrition? Jesus came to "cast fire upon the earth," yet the danger of lukewarmness is always lurking. We do well to heed the words of Our Blessed Mother at Cana, and do whatever Christ tells us. This meditation is the third of seven meditations we are posting during Lent from a retreat by Father Timothy Uhen. During Lent, we seek a deeper love of God and neighbor through prayer, self-denial, and charity. The aim of these Lenten meditations is to help us, through Jesus, to gaze upon the glory of God and to realize that his kindness is a greater joy than life itself.
The greatest mass conversion of people to Catholicism occurred through the intervention of Our Blessed Mother. Today, we examine the Marian apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe, exploring the backstory and understanding the significance of this apparition in the present day.Join our community and get future episodes by email at kenandjanelle.comWatch this podcast videoSupport the showSupport this show and get all future episodes by email atwww.kenandjanelle.com
In 1858, 14 year-old Bernadette encountered a mysterious and beautiful woman while out gathering wood. Over the coming weeks and months, Bernadette paid many visits to this woman, later revealed to be Our Blessed Mother, at her request. Years later, Lourdes has become known as a place where the miraculous can occur, with some of those who drink the water from the spring at the site undergoing remarkable healings!
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that: Before Christ's second coming, the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. In this powerful presentation, Deacon Harold explains how the antichrist deception has already begun to take shape in the world. However, we know that death does not have the final say. Deacon Harold proclaims that this is not a time for wimps or cowards. Our Blessed Mother assures us that if we dedicate ourselves to prayer and make a serious effort to live the Truth of our faith, then strengthened by Christ's Body and Blood in the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist, we can overcome the weakness of sin and break the hold that Satan has on us that prevents us from becoming the people that God wants us to be. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Browse Great Resources: https://store.parousiamedia.com/ Join the Parousia mailing list at: https://www.parousiamedia.com/mailing... So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child. All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds. And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart. Luke 2:16–19Merry Christmas! But “pondering” and “reflecting,” especially during prayer and especially at the Christmas Mass, will have the effect of drawing us ever deeper into this Mystery of our Faith.Reflect, today, with our Blessed Mother. Jesus, I trust in You. Source of content: catholic-daily-reflections.comCopyright © 2023 My Catholic Life! Inc. “This is a story God wrote.” God planted a seed in Kim's young heart to accompany and care for the sick and dying as an adult. Kim was raised in a family in which the members surrounded one another in all the joys and sorrows of life, including death. She didn't realize until adulthood that this was not every person's experience. As a hospice nurse it broke Kim's heart that there were so many people poor and dying who had nowhere to go. With the help of Saint Edward Church in Nashville, TN and others who shared in her desire to help the poor and dying, Kim created "The Heart of Mary House" to love God's children during their final days as Our Blessed Mother would want.
When Rosemary Thérèse Robinson (affectionately known as “Rosie") was diagnosed with childhood cancer, her five older siblings returned home to support her. Little did they know that Rosie would not only carry her own cross of suffering, but would help carry theirs and their parents' crosses, as well. Rosie never complained. She laughed and loved with her family and retreated to the quiet of her bedroom when in pain. She also wrote letters to God. These letters were so filled with the faith and joy reminiscent of Saint Thérèse that they moved the heart of a local Dominican nun to nickname Rosie “The Little Flower of Nashville.” Listen to Rosie's sister Hayley share about the gift of Rosie, as well as the witness of her parents as they accompanied their beloved daughter as she prepared to go home to Jesus at just 19. This is a witness of the bonds of a family deeply rooted in prayer, faith and the supernatural love of God. But it is most of all the story of a young girl who reflected Our Blessed Mother as she said, “Let it be done to me according to thy word.”
Today John, Sam, and our guest, Gabriel Castillo, discuss the captivating journey from being an MTV trained sinner of the world to becoming an on-fire Catholic evangelist with over 20 Million video views online. From his early days of mocking Catholicism while attending St. Thomas University to a moment of divine revelation during Adoration, where he heard inexplicable things and was moved to tears, his life took an unexpected turn. Yet, he continued to grapple with living a sinful lifestyle and trying to be a holy Catholic man. It was a chilling demonic encounter that finally pushed him to seek redemption through confession, sparking a profound conversion. We then explore how to live a life aligned with Christ's teachings, the power of devotion to Our Blessed Mother to guarantee success in life, and becoming an instrument of Grace in the world. Drawing inspiration from the lives of saints like St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Francis de Sales, St. Louis de Montfort, and many others, you will be sure to learn a lot about prayer, devotion to Our Lady, and how to handle the tough challenges of life with peace and joy.
