Kahless the great returns after Worf burns a fat one on the Enterprise and gets dressed down /slash/ given a vacation from Picard. Then we talk about religion and governance without really getting at the moral quandary of cloning and free will. Worf confronts the Klingon pharisees, then convinces Gowron to bends the knee. No, it doesn't make sense any more than religion does, but we are made to assume something profound happened to Worf. For me, it was Tuesday. Get in touch with us on BlueSky @ReEngageTNG.bsky.social! Sometimes an inner monologue is all you need to discover who the real killer has been all along. Guinan talks to Dr. Crusher about tennis elbow, but Beverly isn't the doctor on this ship anymore. Then through a series of flashbacks and flash-forwards, she uncovers the killer of a Ferengi scientist for which she was busy getting recognition among a group comprised of a Vulcan, Klingon and Takaran scientist. The Takaran has extra organs, FYI, that might be important! We get some great Nurse Ogawa agency, a little bit of Ferengi razzle-dazzle, and some strange behaviors from Riker and Picard, who never turned down a mystery before. Happy New Year, y'all. Oliver Stark (9-1-1, Into the Badlands) plays a clever king who concocts the perfect plan for telling a good egg from a bad seed.
Key Verses: Genesis 49:10; 2 Samuel 7:16; 1 Chronicles 17:14; Psalm 89 God gave many prophecies concerning the Messiah's lineage. He was to come through the tribe of Judah and the lineage of David.
The gang fills their spiritual hole with "Rightful Heir!" They discuss their personal sacred texts, hand out Klingon merit badges, and discover Skeletor! Alexander skips school, Worf gets interrupted in the men's room, and Riker plays a flaming trombone. Meanwhile Rob gets in a shirt fight, Cam wasn't around 500 years ago, Bobi reveals who she's a clone of, and John gets kicked off the pod. Engage!Pick up some Green Shirt Merch

Framing Skeletons is a progressive metal band from Houston, Texas that fuses the complex polyrhythms and soul-crushing heaviness of djent with the thematic consistency and experimentation of traditional progressive rock. The band consists of Jeremy Burke (guitars/vocals), Bryan Holub (drums/back vox) and Ethan Berry (bass/back vox). The music scene is smaller than you think, even though music can be found everywhere. Here in Texas, the 6 degrees of separation is more like 2. Through some mutual friends, I was informed of Framing Skeletons and after jamming their discography, I had to get an interview on the books. We chatted about all the usual stuff like how they formed, oh shit moments on stage and their forthcoming LP that is going to be over an hour long! I had a great time hanging out with the trio and highly suggest you put them into your playlists wherever you get your music.Episode Info:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@framingskeletons3176FB: https://www.facebook.com/framingskeletonsIG: https://www.instagram.com/framingskeletons/Bandcamp: https://framingskeletons.bandcamp.com/musicIntro track: "Common Flow" by ArborennaFeatured track: "The Rightful Heir to Acrelot" by Framing Skeletons ATXMP Website: https://www.atxmp.com/Sponsors:Come and Take It Productions: https://www.comeandtakeitproductions.com/Come and Take It Live: https://www.comeandtakeitlive.com/Bumperactive: https://www.bumperactive.com/Titan Audio Productions: https://titanaudioproductions.com/

Today we mourn the tragic passing of the Queen while simultaneously having some fun at her expense. She's dead so I don't think she'll mind. Plus, I make the case that the Prince Andrew aka the Party Prince is the one who should really be the rightful heir to the throne. That said, a historic day as the longest reigning monarch in history finally goes to hell. I discuss the impact her legacy will have on the world and the future of the royal family from here. Disney released the trailer for the new live action release of “The Little Mermaid,” which begs the question: is the world ready for a black mermaid? Probably, but one can never know. “The Rings of Power” is drawing a “racist backlash” so the cast and crew wanted everyone to know they indeed “condemn racism.” The bigger problem on their hands is that the show is boring. BYU cleared itself in an investigation into whether or not a fan yelled a racial slur at volleyball game against Duke and Elon Musk might be the coolest person with autism ever. Kahless the Unforgettable is back but Worf has doubts. Also why is he so small?

Today is a good day to die ... of laughter with Comic Belief! We're joined by fellow Episcopal priest, the Reverend Stacy Alan, and her husband, the irreverent John Poole (who takes a break from his own podcast, The Hidden Groove), to do a deep dive on a Star Trek episode. John suggested we talk together about everything that gets put on the table in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode Rightful Heir, in which Worf experiences a crisis of faith ... and then has to decide how much truth the Klingon people can handle! Beware, friends: spoilers await! We talk pretty freely about how the Klingon messiah Kahless returns, and what it would be like for this to happen in our own faith traditions (including John reflecting some on the differences in Buddhism). We spend time talking about different kinds of truth. After all, the first duty of podcasters is to the truth! Plus Megan shares her vision of what God's work life and personal life break down to. So tune in to boldly go where thousands of Trek convention panels has gone before ... but never with Comic Belief, friends!
Worf meets Klingon Jesus, who's changed a lot since he fought Kirk and Abraham Lincoln on the rock guy planet. The episode is better than I remembered and I'm glad I could watch it with Grym, who is a fan of the Klingons. "Rightful Heir" is a cool combination of science, religion, and Klingon politics. Does Trek even handle religion this well again until Deep Space Nine? My guest this week is Grym, who doesn't have a project he's working on, but who loves Wyrd Games' Malifaux. The Beige and The Bold is hosted on Anchor and is available on most podcasting platforms. New episodes are usually posted on Sunday nights at 9:00 PM CST.

Forró lesz a talaj a Földön, amikor Dr. Jurati és Picard a Csillagflotta és a romulánok váratlan látogatásai miatt egyre szorongatóbb helyzetekbe kerülnek: míg Picard a régi sérelmeken és elvarratlan szálakon keresztülverekedve próbál hajót szerezni magának egykori kolléganőjétől, Soji a borg által asszimilált utolsó romulánok egyikét interjúzza, aki a pixmik lapjaiból megdöbbentő fejlemények kiolvasására képes. Aktuális adásunkban a Star Trek: Picard ’The End is the Beginning’ című epizódjáról beszélgetünk. Rövid hírszekció: • Február 5-én elhunyt Kevin Conway, akit a Star Trek nézői Kahless szerepében láthattak Az új nemzedék 'Törvényes örökös' (Rightful Heir, TNG 6x23) című epizódjában.

Part 6 – SERIES: Galatians - The Sweetness of Freedom Paul needs the Galatian churches to understand that the Gospel is not based on the Law but on God’s Promise. By way of illustration, he reminds them that God’s promises cannot be changed or annulled, and that receiving the promised inheritance/blessing is a matter of faith in Jesus Christ. Are you trying to earn God’s favor by your own works? If so, you’ll never make it! Paul tells us to simply believe God’s promise to grant salvation and blessing to anyone who puts their faith in Jesus—For all the promises of God find their yes in Jesus! (2 Corinthians 1:20)

Gowron. Although he only appeared in four episodes of The Next Generation, Gowron is one of the most unforgettable Klingon recurring characters that we see in the show. With his bulging eyes, threatening smile, and fighting prowess, Gowron becomes the Klingon Chancellor and appears during some of the most important moments in this period of the Klingon Empire. In this episode of Earl Grey, hosts Richard Marquez, Amy Nelson, and Justin Oser discuss their impressions and thoughts on Gowron's appearances in The Next Generation and the importance of his character to the show. In today's episode of Kanata's Castle, Becca and Devon continue their 'Pathway to The Last Jedi' by discussing the infamous Kylo Ren. Is he the rightful heir? Does the Skywalker lightsaber belong to him? Is he just simply misunderstood? Well, sit back with an ice-cold glass of blue milk and find out! Throughout each trilogy, we see the same family undergo the inevitable cost of changes and choice. In each trilogy, it is someone new, but yet the name remains the same. Skywalker. Change, choice, and cost seem to follow them throughout the generations. So much so, that the "cost" is theirs to bear. It's like the shadow that sticks to the soles of your shoe. It's an extension of who they are. After all, Luke once told Leia, "We all have that. The brightest light casts the darkest shadow." Get taken to church this week as New York Times best-selling author John Jackson Miller joins the show just in time to bear witness to "Rightful Heir"! The bumpy-headed Jesus of Qo'nos past, Kahless, has returned to our realm and he begins a movement that will leave Worf trapped between the religion of his people and the politics of the Empire! It's a heady, thought-provoking episode, where we discuss running out of dream jobs, Jurassic Worf, the similarities of tie-in fiction and religious canon, what Chris Hardwick's like in real life, and when it was exactly that TNG "grew the beard".Add in some references to TV Tropes, classic Battlestar Galactica, the Six Million Dollar Man, and more than a little Star Wars talk and you've got an episode that still technically counts as being about Star Trek! TNG Season 6 - Essential Trek Philosophy. In this episode of Meta Treks, hosts Mike Morrison and Zachary Fruhling compare their top picks for Essential Trek Philosophy from season 6 of Star Trek: The Next Generation. From Cartesian skepticism of the external world in "Ship in a Bottle" to transporter-related issues of personal identity in "Second Chances," season 6 of Star Trek: The Next Generation contains some of the most well-known and often-cited philosophical episodes in all of Star Trek. Most importantly, though, find out whether Lieutenant Worf drinks the Romulan hemlock for corrupting the minds of the youth in "Birthright, Part II." Religion in TNG. The classic topics that are considered impolite to discuss with company are money, religion, and politics. Since Earl Grey already did an episode about money ("EG 58: Scarcity, Scarcity, Scarcity"), it is now time for them to discuss religion. Most fans know that Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry was an atheist who believed that humans would "outgrow" religion by the 23rd and 24th centuries. The Next Generation features a diverse crew who do not seem to display any beliefs that one would characterize as "religious." Phillip, Daniel, and Darren nevertheless examine Lieutenant Worf's Klingon culturalism and his battles with faith ("Rightful Heir"), Lt. Cmdr Data's search for self-actualization with his "creator" ("Brothers"), and Capt. Picard's role as a leader of a crew with various religious/non-religion beliefs. The trio also examines the "guest star" aliens' religious beliefs, from Ensign Ro's "cultural Bajora-ism," the conflict in "Who Watches the Watchers?", to the enduring Native American spiritualism in "Journey's End,"; from Ardra's role as the Devil ("Devil's Due"), to the role of "doctrine" in "The Outcast." Join Earl Grey for a discussion about the nature of religion and personal beliefs in The Next Generation. “Rightful Heir” feels like TNG apologizing for the mess that was the “Birthright” two-parter, while “Second Chances” feels like TNG apologizing for sidelining Riker for the past couple of seasons.
