CVE was at real risk of closure after its contract was set to expire on April 16. The nonprofit MITRE runs CVE on a contract with the DHS. A letter last Tuesday sent Tuesday by Yosry Barsoum, vice president of MITRE, gave notice of the potential halt to operations. Another possible victim of the current administration. CVE Foundation Launched to Secure the Future of the CVE Program CVE Board members have spent the past year developing a strategy to transition CVE to a dedicated, non-profit foundation. The new CVE Foundation will focus solely on continuing the mission of delivering high-quality vulnerability identification and maintaining the integrity and availability of CVE data for defenders worldwide. Over the coming days, the Foundation will release more information about its structure, transition planning, and opportunities for involvement from the broader community. (0:00-20:11) – Tyrone's word of the day is nitpicked. The passing offense has been towards the bottom of the league and that means the offense is going to be questioned. We play the AJ Brown postgame audio of his take on what the Eagles offense needs to work on. Tyrone, Ricky and Sylvana believe Jalen Hurts is being too safe and that comes from coaching. We go through our unsung Hero's of the game. (20:20-30:46) – The lack of Jalen pushing the ball into certain spots and missing throws. He seems to be in a safe mode and knows he can rely on Barkley. We cannot recall the last time AJ Brown or Devonta Smith caught a ball down the field. We go through the first round of votes of today's Twitter poll, and we go through our Popeyes plays of the game. 30:55-42:39)- AJ Brown is calling to fundamentally change the offense. He is not completely inaccurate as the passing game needs to improve. The run first offense has worked and the team is not going to change the offense. AJ is half right about the problem surrounding the offense. We briefly discuss the woes of the kicking game. The Key to a Lasting Marriage and a Family that Heals, Mends, Rests, and Restores...episode 216, Operation Wholeness for Marriage and Family w/ Rich and Val, part 5 of Clarity for the Mission of Parenthood. This is the day! 32 years ago, we made a commitment to forever. We didn't know what all we were committing to, but that's kind of the point. The first half of the 32 years we didn't know how to do commitment from a place of nurturing one another, blessing one another, seeking each other's wholeness and health. The second half of the 32 years, we've been living as ambassadors of wholeness for each other, ourselves, and our family. An ambassador is on mission for the leader. We are on God's mission of restoring and healing. Everything we say and do either hinders or helps restore and heal another person and ourselves. We choose to heal. This has changed everything about our lives, our marriage, our family, and anyone that God brings along our life journey.Every day we strive to build up, mend, and bless. We don't get it right all the time, but I can tell you this - having a partner in life that is committed with me to creating a life that heals means that every day, little by little, our relationship becomes stronger, we become more stable for those around us, and we are more committed to each other than ever before. We began to prioritize taking time to mend and nourish one another.Arguments stopped being a tug-a-war for power and instead were discussions to find common-ground solutions. We no longer were willing to make little "one-up" zingers at each other that would jeopardize healing. Nitpicking was replaced with encouraging words and having grace for one another's imperfections. Because my goal was Rich's healed heart, mind, body, and spirit, I no longer was willing to compromise his progress just so I could "win" an argument or get my way.Likewise, because Rich's goal was my healed heart, mind, body, and spirit, he gave more effort in finding ways to affirm me and restore my injured areas. We both began digging deeper into unhealthy emotions, facing past trauma and earlier malnourishment, identifying generational toxins, and seeking to forgive old resentments. May 13, 2024 - Season 14, Episode 131 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers signing free agent CB Anthony Averett to a one-year contract after he participated in the team's annual rookie minicamp over the weekend on a tryout basis. With the Steelers 2024 rookie minicamp now in the books, Alex and I give our biggest takeaways to come out over the weekend. We focus mainly on the sides two of the team's draft picks played on the offensive line and what we hope that ultimately transpires into. The Steelers signed five of their seven 2024 draft picks over the weekend so Alex and I discuss that news and why there might be a little holdup in getting OT Troy Fautanu and OC Zach Frazier signed to their rookie contracts. Veteran OLB Bud Dupree won't be back in Pittsburgh this season, so we go over that news of him signing elsewhere over the weekend. The 2024 NFL schedule will officially be released on Wednesday, so Alex and I discuss the few games that have been announced so far. We also attempt to whittle down who the Steelers first game of the 2024 NFL regular season will be. Alex wrote one Monday morning about one main concern he has for each member of the Steelers 2024 draft class, so we recap that post later in this show. Several other minor topics not noted are also discussed in this 71-minute episode and we end it all by answering a few emails we have received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. If I could pick one way to absolutely decimate your culture and drive your employee's morale into the dirt, while also making your customer's squirm, it would be passive-aggressive reactionary nitpicking masquerading as leadership. I get it, you have high standards and sometimes (lots of times) you feel like pulling your hair out when you see things that don't measure up. The questions is, how can you retain a high standard while also not inadvertently publicly shaming your staff in the process? This week we're going to talk about why it's a dare in order to be confident. On last week's episode, we talked about why it's a dare to be beautiful. We first began by defining what that word dare means. That word dare means: the courage that is required to do something big. Dare also means to challenge someone to do something that requires boldness. And lastly dare means to confront something boldly. So, why does it take courage and boldness to be confident? Why does it take courage and boldness to hold your heard high and not be so shaken by what others think about you?Ladies, you are in a fight your life, but you're also in a fight for your future. There is a fight against your identity:Meaning the enemy and this culture don't want you to see yourself as God sees you, so they try to get you to believe something that's not true about who you are. There is a fight against your friends. This world and all it has to offer can be enticing and you may see your friends deciding to straddle that line between living for God and living for this world and eventually you may even see them completely abandoning their faith…and it hurts to watch our friends go through this. There is a fight against your schools and the agendas this culture is trying to push that is so against God. There is a fight to make sure there's absolutely no place for God in school. There is a fight against your value and your worth. We constantly criticize who we are based on what others think. There is a fight against your body image and how you see yourself.Nitpicking everything about us.There is a fight against your purpose. Do we really have a purpose? Why am I here? There is a fight against the people that you are looking to that influence you.So many people are no longer standing for the Truth. There is a fight against your walk with God…Reading the Bible, praying, worship. There is a fight against your time…We're so busy that our head is spinning. There's a fight against your confidence. This world is telling you to be confident in yourself. You've got this! You can do it! However, that's not what God says. Ladies, it's a dare to be confident, because it takes courage and boldness to stand against this culture and say, enough is enough! My confidence comes from the Lord! I am confident in the way I look, because God made me beautifully. I am confident in my walk with God, because He will never fail me. He is always faithful. I am confident in my purpose! God has a plan for my life and it's a good plan!UncommonTEEN Live is less than 2 weeks away and we would love to have you there! Kim, Jason and Amy discuss the difference between feedback and nitpicking. Kim says, "There is one rule of thumb that applies to criticism in general but is especially good advice when you're really busy and nerves are frayed. It's best summed up by advice a friend's godfather gave her at her wedding. 'If it's brown flush it down. If it's yellow let it mellow.' She got married on an island with a poor septic system, and this was a sign by all the toilets. But as her godfather said, 'These are words to live by. If there's a big stinking problem talk about it before it fouls your relationship. But if it's a small thing, let it go.'"Go to the show notes >> Learn more about your ad choices.
