Michelle's latest film, The Italians, is an ensemble comedy-drama about an idiosyncratic Italian-American family that drive each other crazy, but who pull themselves together upon learning that the matriarch (Michelle's character) has a serious heart condition—a crisis that causes the entire family to reevaluate themselves. Michelle Danner stars in and directs The Italians, which also features Rob Estes, Matthew Daddario, Abigail Breslin, Lainie Kazan, and a lot of scenes with food. Michelle talks to Ed about what attracted her to making The Italians; why the movie represents a change of pace for her; and what it was like to direct Donald Sutherland in Miranda's Victim (2023), a historical drama that turned out to be one of Sutherland's final screen appearances. The Italians is now available for streaming on demand on Amazon Prime.

About "Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas" Originally aired on November 23, 2014 Kevin Fair directed. Kevin currently has 44 directing credits, including recents like “Legend of the Lost Locket,” “A Season for Family,” “Checkin' It Twice” and “3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost.” As for SSD, Kevin directed episodes 3 and 4 from the one-season series. After "Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas," he will go on to direct all but 2 of the movies. The story for SSD for Christmas was written by Brandi Harkonen, Kerry Lenhart, and John J. Samar. The teleplay by Martha Williamson. Rob Estes plays Jordan. Rob has 70 acting credits with 2 upcoming projects according to IMDB. He's probably best known for his role as Kyle McBride on Melrose Place between 1993-1999 but my first exposure to Rob Estes was in the USA crime-drama “Silk Stockings.” Since the 90s, he's gone on to appear in shows like “Suddenly Susan,” “Gilmore Girls,” and “90210.” Browsing through his IMDB, I see he returns to Signed, Sealed, Delivered in a future movie and I'm not sure I'm ready. Marion Ross plays Oliver's former Sunday school teacher Mrs. Genzinger in this movie. She has a staggering 197 acting credits and will always and forever be known as Mrs. Cunningham from her 255 episodes of “Happy Days." She's been in just about everything, including the previously mentioned “Gilmore Girls” as Lorelei's gran Trix. She's also starred in 2 other projects for Martha Williamson: “Promised Land” and “Touched By an Angel.” At 95, Marion is still working! She voiced Grandma Squarepants in “Sponge Bob Square Pants” earlier this year. Marci T. House plays the nurse Odette. Marci has appeared in several Hallmark projects, including “Making Waves,” “A Winning Team,” and “Cranberry Christmas” (a movie that we'll be reviewing this summer in Christmas in July). Ava Telek plays Hannah (the little girl who's mom is sick). Ava has worked steadily since this movie. She has been seen in “My Christmas Family Tree” and “Gilded Newport Mysteries: Murder at the Breakers.” Watch the Trailer for "Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas" from 2014

In sleep, he sang to me. In dreams, he came. And boy did he come alright, because in those dreams he was banging it out in some of the most aggressively erotic and drawn out sex scenes we've seen to date! The “he” that were referencing is none other than Eric, and when he's not busy having seemingly amazing sex with his lovely ex girlfriend Melody via flashback, he's out for revenge! No subtlety here folks, the title of this weeks selection literally spells it out for you… Phantom of the Mall: Eric's Revenge! This movie has it all… literally! I mean we're talking acts of murder, martial arts, hidden lairs, snake wrangling, Italian pianists, bombs, arson, weight lifting, sequined party dresses, Paula Shore, and Morgan Fairchild! What more could you want!? Join Troy and Roger as they max out their cards and load up their shopping bags while chatting about all kinds of totally rad topics, including their intense infatuation with the absolutely stunning Rob Estes, the fact that a movie cannot be scary when it involves roundhouse kicking a man to the face, the acknowledgement that Morgan Fairchild looks fucking great no matter what color power suit she may be wearing, and whether or not they'd be willing to get down n dirty with a man whose body was horrifically scarred by severe 3rd degree burns! So get ready to shop 'til you drop because Midwood Mall is about to celebrate its grand opening, and Dark Night of the Podcast is going to ensure that Eric finally gets his much deserved and completely warranted revenge! The Billy-Sam storyline is not what you think – it's worse! Meanwhile, Taylor takes the fall but gets the upper hand. And speaking of hands, Michael embarks on a new endeavor.
We're still in the middle of saying goodbye to Syd, when we lose another OG! (Hint: it's Matt.) Peter and Sam have new hair, and their own dark arcs take new turns.
Special Guest Star Alyssa Maher joins us to recap the monumental season 5 finale, in which we say goodbye to three of our favorites!

Amanda finds herself to be an island, Syd proves to be very efficient, Peter experiences more blackouts, Jake gets a surprise visitor, Megan has doubts, Jennifer gets a new job, Billy and Sam decide to talk to the cops, and Doug and Karen discuss Jew fros.
It's our fourth anniversary! And our gift is an episode that lets us cheer for Amanda and Kyle and Syd and Craig. Plus, Taylor has a brief encounter with a door.
We ponder the age-old question, “Who's a worse actor, Patrick Muldoon or David Charvet?” And we get one of the best dinner scenes in the entire series!
This is a rock-solid episode. Syd makes a wrong decision and it feels oh so right. Plus we get our first glimpse of the great Nancy Lee Grahn.
This is it! How does Marcia Cross' long-awaited exit turn out? We have some thoughts.
We like this episode so much we mostly don't care that they've retconned our characters' histories! Matt looks for Chelsea, Syd tries to settle her suit, Allison meets with a client, Amanda buys a new car, and Kimberly gets some new news.
This is the best episode of the season! Allison eavesdrops, Amanda gets sloppy, Syd screws up, and Michael gets sassed. What's not to love?
Matt is back! With another head-scratcher of a story. Meanwhile, Megan finds herself in a tough position and Kyle starts throwing punches. Happy New Year!
We really want a professional to vet the legality of this show's shenanigans. Also, we find out if everyone survived the car crash, Jake and Syd ponder some housing changes, and Amanda buys some bagels.
The midpoint of the season brings about an abrupt shift, including news for Allison, a boon for Syd, Peter as the voice of reason, and lots of talk about email.
Another one bites the dust! “Melrose Place” bids adieu to another OG.
Somehow, every single character got benched in this episode. Oh well — more time to talk about Hilary Swank!
Rob Estes is an elder at Cornerstone.
Les, Kurt, and Jason endured "Edge of the Garden" starring Rob Estes ("Melrose Place" and "Silk Stalkings" and they have some THOUGHTS. Is this movie about ghosts? Time travel? Parallel universes? Eternal love?Who knows? Who cares? (literally nobody watching this movie cares, for the record). Les's recap of "General Hospital" (including face swapping, twins, and memories on hard drives) is far more interesting than "Edge of the Garden" starring Rob Estes. If you want a super-SLOW movie that lacks the charm of present-day Hallmark movies and seemingly lacks even less logic, then you came to the right place. Plus, Jason hatches a plan to create an "Edge of the Garden Cinematic Universe," Kurt realizes he's being Queer-Eyed (thanks, beard oil!)
