Dawson, returning from spending his whole offscreen summer in Philadelphia with Gale, ends up on a bus next to a very confident pixie-cut blonde. When she disappears after he apparently bores them both to sleep yammering about Joey, he assumes he'll never see her again. He assumes wrong, and is no match for her aggressive come-ons. Her sexual overtures while Dawson's out driving them around in Mitch's boat lead Dawson to make some reckless choices with expensive consequences; knowing this girl works at the local exotic dance establishment, Pacey gets the idea to knock off Risky Business with a stripper party at the Leery house. Through all this, Joey has alternated between parrying the unwanted attention of Rob Logan, her new boss at the marina, and regretting the way she told Dawson off in the Season 2 finale. Roomies Jen and Jack have reached a new level of platonically intimate friendship and are so adorable even Grams seems like they're giving her a cavity -- but in a fun way! Less fun: the tyranny of cheer captain Belinda McGovern, who is terrorizing her classmates with slut-shaming and fatphobia. Jen notices, apparently for the first time, and decides to fight back by trying out for the cheerleading team. But what you really want to know is whether her hair has grown back out: we're thrilled to let you know it has. You made it through the wilderness of our two-week holiday break: welcome back to our episode on "Like A Virgin"! JOIN THE AWT CLUB

From AWAWT 126: Let's Watch Grant Show In True Blue! Midseason replacement True Blue is the 9-1-1 of its day...so why didn't it last longer than three months? Maybe because Law & Order, which staffed up with half TB's cast, came along and ate its lunch? Maybe because it spent its entire budget on music rights for this one episode, "Oldies But Goodies"? We have some theories, but we're pretty sure it's not Grant Show's fault. From AWAWT 131: Let's Watch Dina Meyer On Friends! Dina Meyer had a three-episode arc as Kate, a fancy actress who thinks her co-star Joey (Matt LeBlanc) is beneath her. In this bonus episode, we watch how she and her beautiful hair made their exit. In today's episode, the girls commiserate over Covid. Kerri's daughter has it and Debbie's getting over it. Debbie's very proud of her 'vid induced, accidental dry January (that's only been a week and totally won't last) while Kerri went to Puerto Rico and ran into Grant Show, AKA Jake from Melrose Place. The ladies laugh their way through several riveting "breaking news" stories, like how dentists can tell if you've given a blow job and the reality TV star who sold her farts and landed in the ER (or was that actually Sharper Image?). They forget some words and can't pronounce others, so everything is replaced with the word "dingdong." Try to keep a straight face as Kerri + Deb share the newest CDC "recommendations." Needless to say, the New Year is starting with a dingdong! Enjoy!

Hey hey, thanks to COVID19 the whole crew is back together for the 1996 Lifetime movie, "Pretty Poison," starring Grant Show and Wendy Benson-Landes, who seems to think she's on an episode of the Brady Bunch and not this wildly strange and absurd movie. We talk about all the important topics like super horny hotel owners, poison factories, interesting geography, and what we assume is the greatest character name in the history of Lifetime movies. Oh, and the Chief from "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego" shows up too. By the way, as usual, this movie makes absolutely no sense. Kick it Rockapella and enjoy the episode. We're still in the middle of saying goodbye to Syd, when we lose another OG! (Hint: it's Matt.) Peter and Sam have new hair, and their own dark arcs take new turns.
Special Guest Star Alyssa Maher joins us to recap the monumental season 5 finale, in which we say goodbye to three of our favorites!
It's the second-to-last episode of the season, so storylines move into first gear! Amanda finds herself to be an island, Syd proves to be very efficient, Peter experiences more blackouts, Jake gets a surprise visitor, Megan has doubts, Jennifer gets a new job, Billy and Sam decide to talk to the cops, and Doug and Karen discuss Jew fros.
It's our fourth anniversary! And our gift is an episode that lets us cheer for Amanda and Kyle and Syd and Craig. Plus, Taylor has a brief encounter with a door.
We ponder the age-old question, “Who's a worse actor, Patrick Muldoon or David Charvet?” And we get one of the best dinner scenes in the entire series!

This is a rock-solid episode. Syd makes a wrong decision and it feels oh so right. Plus we get our first glimpse of the great Nancy Lee Grahn.
This is it! How does Marcia Cross' long-awaited exit turn out? We have some thoughts.
We like this episode so much we mostly don't care that they've retconned our characters' histories! Matt looks for Chelsea, Syd tries to settle her suit, Allison meets with a client, Amanda buys a new car, and Kimberly gets some new news.
This is the best episode of the season! Allison eavesdrops, Amanda gets sloppy, Syd screws up, and Michael gets sassed. What's not to love?
Matt is back! With another head-scratcher of a story. Meanwhile, Megan finds herself in a tough position and Kyle starts throwing punches. Happy New Year!

We really want a professional to vet the legality of this show's shenanigans. Also, we find out if everyone survived the car crash, Jake and Syd ponder some housing changes, and Amanda buys some bagels.
The midpoint of the season brings about an abrupt shift, including news for Allison, a boon for Syd, Peter as the voice of reason, and lots of talk about email.
Another one bites the dust! “Melrose Place” bids adieu to another OG.
Somehow, every single character got benched in this episode. Oh well — more time to talk about Hilary Swank!

Tread Perilously closes out its primetime soap month with a visit to Melrose Place and its fourth season episode, "Catch Her In The Lie." When Jake gets mad that Allison is spending too much time at the office while pregnant, he sets off on the road and ends up in a Central Coast town where one of his ex-girlfriends is raising a boy who might be Jake's son. Meanwhile, Peter and Taylor try to carry on an affair, but are stymied by ex-wives, schedules and overly-concerned employees. Micheal agrees to sleep with Kimberly one more time before she dies, leaving Megan feeling like an afterthought. Erik and Justin get into Los Angeles geography and the Melrose of the 1990s. Earth-tone lipstick, denim hats and Doc Martens are fondly recalled. Jake gets identified as the Wolverine of the cast while Grant Show gets identified as a prototype Jensen Ackles. Heather Locklear gets another spotlight. Erik discusses the backdoor pilot format of the 80s and 90s. The 4400's Billy Campbell ends up a topic thanks to a character name. Erik and Justin envision the Smuckers War. 1990s male hairstyles get reviewed and Justin irrationally decides Andrew Shue is the show's real villain. Also, Kelly Rutherford always deserves better.
Welcome to The Grant Show! Just kidding. Today's episode features my friends Grant and Amanda who found love not only here in LA, but in our restaurant. Quite the story!
Grant Show joins me to talk about his new role as Blake Carrington in the reboot of the hit primetime soap Dynasty. Show and I also talk about his time on the highly-popular show Melrose Place playing hearthrob Jake Hanson.
