Hos sin sagfører Erik Jessen (Preben Mahrt) træffer han kriminalforfatteren Rodian (Ole Monty), hvis forlægger Stenbeck (Asbjørn Andersen) har beklaget, at hans nye bog er for fantasifuld, Rodians ideer vil ikke kunne praktiseres i virkeligheden. Mathisen foreslår Rodian, at flytte ind på et hyggeligt Nyhavnshotel, som i øvrigt ejes af ham og to kolleger Alfred (Tribini) og Viggo (Johannes Marott). Hver aften når Rodian falder til hvile efter dagens arbejde "låner" de tre venner dagens kapitel, og udfører om natten, hvad Rodian har udtænkt om dagen. Aviserne skriver om de mystiske natlige forbrydelser. Først stjæles to Rembrandt'er fra Statens museum for kunst og senere lænses en juvelbutik for kostbarheder og en bank for 50.000 kr. Forlæggeren bliver nervøs. Han genkender forbrydelserne fra Rodians udkast og frygter, at den excentriske forfatter på denne måde ville overbevise ham, om at det kan lade sig gøre. Holly and Bryan got their hands on a copy of Kelly Knox's Star Wars Conversation Cards Chat Pack and decided to randomly draw cards and talk about them on this episode. It was a great time where there was much discussion of Rodians and Ewoks and, of course, everyone's favorite, lovable Gungan, Jar Jar Binks.

Just last week Ahmed Best took Kelleran Beq from internet game show to Star Wars canon. This week, Garazeb Orellios went from animated in an animated series to...well, okay, computer generated and animated in live action. It was still great to see a Rebels character come to life! Okay, we saw Ahsoka do that last season. Hey, you get my point! Did you ever think we'd see the Armorer tell someone to take it off? The helmet I mean. I mean, this isn't the way, is it? I guess it is now, since she's hear the true tale of the Mythosaur on Mandalore. Ooh, that's a good title. There's blaster battles, dogfights in ships, Rodians running interference, SNL cast members annoyed with droids, and the Armorer handing off hammers and smacking them in alien faces. Good stuff! Mandalorians get a piece of the promised land in the lava flats of Nevarro and that's great timing since R5-D4 can't keep secrets. Sorry, Capitan Azul, you gots ta go. Here's hoping Carson Teva gets an action figure soon. We haven't bought one in a while, but if I was a cosplayer, I might have found my wheelhouse. A NEW ERA SET 200 YEARS BEFORE THE SKYWALKER SAGA! In the first full episode of 2022, Mike starts by giving background information on this new era of Star Wars (including reading orders, timelines & his previously released High Republic content) before embarking on the first volume of High Republic comics, which introduces padawan Keeve Trennis, Trandoshian Jedi master Sskeer, as well as showcasing Starlight Beacon, Jedi Master Avar Kriss, the force-bonded twins Ceret & Terec and the fearsome living plants; the Drengir. Plus Mike gives plenty of additional information on Ximpi, Rodians, Artiodacs and more! Mike gives background information on The High Republic until around 8 minutes, where he goes into the comics themselves (in case you want to dive right in)! These High Republic comics are set in 232BBY, in the first phase & first wave of the High Republic. The High Republic 1 was released 6th January 2021, issue 5 was released May 12th 2021 and the trade paperback collection was released September 7th 2021. Cavan Scott is the writer of these comics, with Ario Anindito as penciller, Mark Morales as inker and Annalisa Leoni as the colour artist.
