Should we aim for more than protocol-based communities? What role can users and projects play in the Web3 space? In this episode, Alex, CEO of Aurora, shares the current adoption of Aurora and what they're developing to engage and grow their community in the long run. Aurora launched in 2020 as a project inside the NEAR protocol, a Layer 1 protocol that is focused on scalability. Given how NEAR is built, it's not possible to launch your Solidity contracts on the network, and that's where Aurora comes in. It allows all existing Ethereum applications and tools to be operable in this new environment.

The end of the 2018-2019 Premier League season is upon us. We celebrate not only a fun season but our three year anniversary of starting the podcast. After watching the trophy get lifted, we jumped into the studio to reflect on all that this wonderful season had given us. During the show, we also look at how bad or accurate some of our predictions were, and sum up our favorite moments of the season. We had FOUR beers to review for this show. (I apologize in advance). It was a wide variety of styles starting with a farmhouse Imperial Stout called Black Metal by Jester King Brewing, the Schevchenko 9 Euro Dark Lager from Four Fathers Brewing, a Bohemian Pilsner from Patagonia, and a Bourbon Barrel aged limited release of Polygamy Porter from Wasatch Brewing. Thanks for listening and joining us these past three years. Cheers! - Love the beer, cherish the game. The gang comes together to talk about the truly pointless UFC card that took place this past weekend in Brazil. They discuss Machida's narrow victory and Schevchenko's complete annihilation. The gang talks about how terrible a referee Mario Yamasaki is before trying to make sense of the UFC's effort to screw their bantamweight champion/screw their fanbase with the UFC 222 debacle. They next make their picks for this paper-think and not-at-all-worth-your-money UFC 221 card. They then make their latest entry into "Memoirs of a Fight Fan" before ending with another edition of "Stuff We Like."
