In this, the premiere episode of Season 6 of the 7th Gear Over Rev Show, we capture the incredible story of racer, Chris Prey's journey into the big leagues of open wheel racing, only to have his dream 'stolen' by one of the biggest names in motorsport. Told in the Hampton Inn hotel lobby with some grub and some beer along with great friends Steve Frank and John Lewis. It's a MUST listen!
The archetypes of legendary pairs such as Sherlock Holmes and his reliable friend and colleague Dr Watson is a trope that police procedurals have often adopted to great effect – an eccentric genius detective with heightened observational skills and his more level-headed friend and ally who sometimes can't spot the obvious. The USA network TV series Psych, created by Steve Frank, ran for eight successful seasons between 2006 and 2014 and borrowed elements from the iconic detective duo created by Sir Arthur Canon Doyle and laced it with a familiar buddy cop comedy routine. The result is a unique blend of genres – an amalgamation of crime procedural and comedy. Imagine Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker's famous onscreen partnership.
As one of Pittsburgh's top strategy and design consultancies for more than 40 years, ThoughtForm helps companies solve tough problems through compelling design. ThoughtForm's Steve Frank and Katie Schmiedicker step up to the One Mic Stand for a deep dive exploration on how they helped University Hospitals in Cleveland reimagine a man's experience visiting a doctor because men just don't like going to the doctor. And, this hesitance results in delayed diagnoses and treatments, which can bring serious consequences. ThoughtForm set out to change that! Steve and Katie detail how ThoughtForm partnered with University Hospitals convening innovators, clinicians and patients to build a visionary new experience together. The result is a healthcare delivery model that addresses men's unique needs and invites them to be the leaders of their own health care journey. Discover how from the moment a man enrolls in the UH Cutler Center for Men, he has access to team of health concierges who share the nickname “Joe.” Joe guides each man through healthcare's hassles with a warm human touch, and acts as the gateway to a wide spectrum of services that extend beyond typical healthcare — including financial wellness, building and managing relationships, and integrative medicine. At the Center's flagship clinic, men have the opportunity to meet a “Joe” in person — receiving concierge-level care far above what you might expect from a doctor visit. Nor is the clinic's lobby typical. It offers a range of waiting areas designed to meet varying needs and preferences: entertainment, contemplation or socialization. A “Cutler Bar” offers tech support for apps and wearables that help maintain engagement and wellbeing between doctor visits. As part of a plan for ongoing engagement, men who choose to become members of the Center can earn rewards and recognition for taking positive health steps.

Continuing education episode! For decades, medical personnel have been aware of the technique of “Acute Normovolemic Hemodilution (ANH),” the collection of blood immediately before surgery followed by infusion near the end. Dr. Steve Frank and his colleagues in the Bloodless Medicine Program at Johns Hopkins believe ANH is an underutilized strategy. He joins the BBGuy Essentials Podcast to share the details of ANH, and show how other facilities can implement ANH as a part of their overall Patient Blood Management Program.

Around 10,000 people reach retirement age every day. But, unfortunately, not all of them will be able to retire. We regularly hear that older Americans are postponing their retirement because they don't have the financial stability necessary to sustain their current lifestyle, so this is a trend that promises to continue for the foreseeable future. Today, businesses are being asked to help close the gap — by not only taking on older workers but by helping the younger population proactively save for their retirement. Hometown Radio 07/17/19 5p: Guest host Gordon Mullin will interview Steve Frank, Republican activist
Top teams are like families. They have a culture of support, accountability and a desire to win. This week we talk to an elite high school basketball coach about team and family. Steve Frank is retiring after 28 years coaching boys and girls basketball. He’s spent the last four years coaching his twin daughters and their teammates at Strafford High School in Missouri. Together they’ve won three straight state titles and 115 consecutive games. There’s a lot to learn about mindset, failure, team and family in this week’s podcast.
On April 13, the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) inducted their Class of 2019! For a full list of inductees and their bios, please visit www.mobca.org. We caught up with a few of them and put those interviews together for you on this episode. Hear what Don West, Steve Frank, Kevin Cheek, Jill Nagel, Dennis Cornish, and Scott Womack had to say about their careers, the induction, and advice to younger coaches. We also caught up with the MBCA Vice President and National Basketball Coaches Association President (that's right!) Chris Nimmo about the Division I Showcases that the MBCA and the Missouri High School Activities Association are partnering together to put on this summer.
Steve Frank is an incredible human. I knew it the first time I met him. He has a way about him that makes you instantly feel supported, seen and capable. Steve is an avid cycler and his love for cycling eventually led him to find a career that feeds his soul. Steve had an unconventional upbringing as the child of a Rabbi and spitfire of a mother which shaped his life but not in the ways you'd assume. You will love listening to his story and be inspired by the life he has created for himself now.
