The Oasis reunion at Wembley Stadium on July 25, 2025, was a night that will be long remembered by fans and music lovers alike. Anticipation buzzed through the air long before the doors opened, as generations of fans gathered under clear summer skies, transforming Wembley Way into a living tribute to Britpop's heyday. The event marked not just a concert, but a celebration—one capturing the spirit of an era and the enduring appeal of the Gallagher brothers' music. From the support acts to the final encore, the evening was a testament to Oasis's profound cultural footprint. Opening with spirited performances from Cast and Richard Ashcroft, the atmosphere only grew more electrifying as dusk settled. Vintage footage and iconic Manchester imagery set the stage, creating an immersive nostalgia trip that connected the audience with the band's roots and musical journey. When Liam and Noel Gallagher finally took the stage, any lingering doubts about their reunion vanished. The band launched into their signature hits, each song met with a stadium-sized chorus as 90,000 voices became one—belting out “Morning Glory,” “Supersonic,” and “Wonderwall” with raw energy. The sibling banter was on display, but so was a genuine affection, making the set both powerful and personal. Emotion reached its peak during “Don't Look Back in Anger” and a moving tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, moments that reminded everyone of the music's power to unite and heal. The closing fireworks during “Champagne Supernova” were more than spectacle—they marked the realization of countless fans' dreams, and a hopeful promise for the future of British rock. This episode isn't just a concert review; it's an invitation to relive a cultural milestone. From backstage anecdotes and crowd vibes to unexpected heartfelt moments on stage, listeners will feel as if they stood shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow fans, singing their hearts out and believing, however briefly, that glory days can return. It's a very smell heavy show today but the aromas aren't good as listeners inform Elis and John of a quite literal VW barrel of eggs and a queasy French exchange tale. Meanwhile Maisie Adam is very very hungover after England's dramatic quarter final win, and Dave gets sacked twice in the first 10 minutes after his lads trip to Mallorca. Of course he sang Wonderwall to some 75 year old couples whilst there. What would you expect?Plus the wallet debate continues as a huge curveball is thrown into the mix, potentially changing John's worldview: What if it's just a bin?To get in touch it's 07974 293 022 on WhatsApp or elisandjohn@bbc.co.ukRemember to head to the Bureau on Saturday morning. “It was like hitching a ride on a shooting star: a fantastic experience that caused immense pain, but I'm glad I had it…That sort of experience doesn't come twice.”Except when it does. You know the story, you know the songs, but there's so much more to the woman behind them. Episode three of the Dolls Pod Beatle Girl Miniseries is dedicated to rock-and-roll's Helen of Troy: Pattie Boyd. Pattie's story is a lot more than meets the eye. She broke generational cycles, gained her independence (the hard way,) discovered her self-worth, and finally found herself after decades of living in song. (Plus: Abby hears 99 Luftbaloons in a bagel shop and goes straight to Emma for the story.) Pattie Boyd: The Real-Life Layla is up now, wherever you stream your podcasts

Green Day got mad at some kid they pulled up to play Good Riddance, but played Wonderwall instead. What moment from a concert will you never forget.

But it backfired on them Monday in Luxembourg… and that's why this is a Setting the Bar Story! Episode 406 - Lemme Bayou A Drink We love a good party. Who doesn't, right? Loud music, dancing, drinking, great conversation with great friends. What's not to love? But everyone knows that there are two surefire ways to ruin a good party. One is vampires. We hate that. All they do is stand outside begging to come in all night. It can really put a damper on the evening. But the other, and arguably much worse, party buzz kill is a guy with an acoustic guitar. Nothing sucks the life out of the room like a guy named Blake struggling through Wonderwall. Not even vampires. On second thought, let the vampires in. They seem pretty chill, but tell Blake to kick rocks. THIS WEEKS MOVIES: Sinners THIS WEEKS BEER: Evil Genius Purple Monkey Dishwasher Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter Follow us! Mr. Dominic DiTolla hosts the Sports Experience Podcast with fellow funny boy Chris Quinn! Dom got his start in comedy in Spring of 1994, right around when D2: The Mighty Ducks hit the Silver Screen. Dom splits his time between Tucson, Arizona and his hometown of Fargo, North Dakota. Dom says his biggest inspiration as a comedian was, and always has been Patrick Swayze. "But Patrick Swayze was never a comedian?". Oh what you think Road House, Point Break, and Dirty Dancing were Action/Dramas? That's okay, classic mistake. Anyway, here's Wonderwall, brother.

As they approach their 100th episode, the crew digs through their logbooks to share stories from their 100th flight hour and 100th landing. From Ben's adorably redundant "power-on stalls and recovery" logbook entry (yes, he survived to tell the tale) to a theatrical listener letter from Lord Alpha Juliet, the crew reminisces about their aviation milestones. Joined by special guest Mark (Wendell Geek), they swap stories and preview their upcoming 100th episode - broadcasting live from Fairmont Airport with promises of pepperoni rolls, PBR, and the whole crew together for the first time. * DKX Knoxville Downtown Island Airport, Tenn: https://www.airnav.com/airport/DKX * HKY Hickory Airport, NC: https://www.airnav.com/airport/HKY * PYP Centre Airport, Ala: https://www.airnav.com/airport/PYP * HAI Three Rivers Airport, Mich: https://www.airnav.com/airport/HAI * CSG Columbus Airport, Ga: https://www.airnav.com/airport/CSG * 1A7 Jackson County Airport, Tenn: https://www.airnav.com/airport/1A7 * SAV Savannah/Hilton Head Airport, Ga: https://www.airnav.com/airport/SAV * LZU Gwinnett County Airport, Lawrenceville, Ga: https://www.airnav.com/airport/LZU * 7S3 Twin Oaks Airport, Ore: https://www.airnav.com/airport/7S3 * DME arc to ILS approach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJtaURhaTIM * BWG Bowling Green: https://www.airnav.com/airport/BWG * Anyway, here's Wonderwall: https://www.voicemag.uk/blog/10355/anyway-heres-wonderwall
On the Overthinking It Podcast, we use the Oasis reunion tour as a jumping off point to do a close reading of “Wonderwall” and what it means for a song to be considered “overplayed.” Episode 849: Let's De-Wonderwall This originally appeared on Overthinking It, the site subjecting the popular culture to a level of scrutiny it probably doesn't deserve. Oasis is getting back together to the surprise of pretty much everyone, prompting Plumbing the Death Star to ask: hey what exactly is a wonderwall anyway? Why would someone be one? And what does it have to do with the classic Pixar Cars franchise? Duscher has some strong opinions on the game of Downball, Zammit theorises about an invisible wall that is also Car Heaven, and Jackson remembers the movie Drop Dead Fred. It's a question for the age that even the Gallagher Brothers are unable to answer in any concrete way.Links to everything in our linktr.ee including our terrible merch, social media garbage and where to become a subscriber to Bad Brain Boys+Come see us at the Cheerful Earful Podcast Fest, both live AND streaming! Episode 1378: Wonderwall
Oasis, the Manchester band led by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, conquered the charts in the 1990s with rock anthems like "Wonderwall." This month, they did something no one saw coming: Announced a reunion. In 2025, the band will play 19 dates in five cities across the UK and Ireland, their first shows with both brothers in the lineup since breaking up in 2009 due to long-simmering tensions between them. Formed in 1991 with Noel as chief songwriter and guitarist and Liam as lead vocalist, the band helped define the sound of Britpop alongside peers like Blur, Suede, and Pulp. Noel's and Liam's feuding made it seem like the band would never reunite, so this upcoming tour has generated a minor frenzy, resulting in insane ticket prices, the band's songs surging in popularity on streaming services, and countless diehard fans zipping up their parkas in anticipation. As two casual listeners to the band, we want to understand the hype behind this long-awaited reunion, so we went through the band's catalog to uncover what makes this working-class Mancunian outfit so beloved, and see whether we can learn to love Oasis. Songs Discussed Oasis - Wonderwall, Supersonic, Shakermaker, Don't Look Back In Anger, Champagne Supernova, All Around The World, Go Let It Out, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Little By Little, The Turning The New Seekers - I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony) John Lennon - Gimme Some Truth, #9 Dream Sheryl Crow - If It Makes You Happy Learn more about your ad choices.
