The Rams beat the Niners last night in a FG game in the rain. Boomer talked about the importance of teams being able to run the ball later in the season during bad weather games. We also had a couple of press conferences yesterday with Juan Soto and Bill Belichick meeting the media. The Giants play the Ravens and Boomer wonders what it costs to get in the game (it's $33 right now). Jon Gruden was golfing with the Barstool guys and Gio really enjoyed his commentary. Jerry is here for his first update of the day but first we talk about if you should go to work when you're sick or not. We also got some gifts from sponsors. Juan Soto met the media and talked about why he signed with the Mets. He also said he hasn't talked to any of his Yankee teammates since the World Series. Bill Belichick said his first words were, ‘Beat Duke'. In the final segment of the hour, former Vikings QB Tommy Kramer responded to Boomer calling Mark Gastineau a ‘dirty cheap shotting son of a bitch'. Kramer responded that it was all part of the game. Introduction: Host Michael Rand starts with the Lynx, Twins and Gophers volleyball. All three had big victories of varying degrees on Wednesday. The Lynx advanced in the playoffs by sweeping Phoenix, perhaps ending Diana Taurasi's career in the process. Napheesa Collier tied a WNBA playoff record with 42 points and set a league playoff record with 80 points in the two games. The Twins, meanwhile, gathered themselves for a night and handed the Marlins their 100th loss of the year. Can Minnesota gain ground on Thursday? And the Gophers earned a thrilling five-set win over Wisconsin. 13:00: Star Tribune columnist La Velle E. Neal III joins Rand for their weekly Daily Delivery Debate segment. In focus: Concerns about the Twins in 2025 and beyond, shifting expectations for the Vikings and Brett Favre. 32:00: Favre and Tommy Kramer were diagnosed this week with serious conditions linked to football. Kramer's message on X is one that demands our attention.

For today's show I virtually met up with a very chill Tommy Kramer, the head brewer at Gravity Heights brewpub in Sorrento Mesa neighborhood of San Diego. Gravity Heights happens to be fairly well set up for pandemic service with their large outdoor beer garden. You can check it out on @gravityheights on Instagram, and they've recently started canning beers, specifically their June Gloom hazy IPA, for people who still aren't ready to head out for a pint on-site. You can find 4-packs around San Diego at Trader Joe's, Bottle Craft and Bine & Vine. Tommy and I chat about his round about path to brewing with stops in the Pacific North West and even Germany before coming back to North County San Diego, and why he left the acclaimed Lost Abbey/Port Brewing to team up with another legendary San Diego Brewer to form the team at Gravity Heights, and a lot about what will be going on the beer board at the brewpub. When I grew up Tommy Kramer threw touchdowns and Huey Lewis made music. To me their politics and opinion didn't matter. Today? I still don't care what Kirk Cousins social stance is or Jose Berrios political leaning is. Throw touchdowns Kirk. Win games Jose. That's what I want from my sports stars.
