It's Friday, January 24th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus 5 Pakistani Muslims abducted 14-year-old Christian girl On January 9th, five Muslims abducted a 14-year-old Christian girl from outside her home in Pakistan, reports Morning Star News. Sharif Masih, of the Punjab Province, said he fears the kidnappers may try to forcibly convert his daughter, Saneha, to Islam and force her to marry one of the Muslim suspects. He said, “Saneha was lured out of the house by a Muslim girl whose family had recently moved to our neighborhood.” Please pray that God would protect Saneha from harm and return her to her family. According to Open Doors, Pakistan is the eighth most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. Congress: Deport criminal illegals On January 22nd, in a vote of 263-156, Congress passed The Laken Riley Act which will be the first bill President Trump signs into law. The act was named after the Georgia nursing student who was brutally raped and murdered by an illegal alien with a long criminal record. This legislation requires criminal illegal aliens to be held for deportation. Gary Bauer, Director of American Values, wrote, “This is not a controversial idea. In fact, a recent New York Times poll found solid majorities in favor of mass deportations. There was overwhelming support (87%) for deporting criminal illegal aliens.” Bauer concluded, “Kicking out criminals is just common sense. But 73% of House Democrats and 74% of Senate Democrats voted against the Laken Riley Act. The rot in the Democrat Party is deep.” Trump pardoned 23 pro-lifers On Thursday afternoon, President Trump pardoned the 23 pro-lifers imprisoned during Joe Biden's presidency for their attempts to save unborn babies, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I set you apart." TRUMP AIDE: “Next, we have a set of pardons for peaceful pro-life protesters who were prosecuted by the Biden administration for exercising their First Amendment right.” TRUMP: “Do you know how many?” TRUMP AIDE: “I believe it's 23, sir.” TRUMP: “Twenty-three people were prosecuted. They should not have been prosecuted. Many of them are elderly people. They should not have been prosecuted. This is a great honor to sign this. (he signs the order) They'll be very happy. So, they're all in prison now?” TRUMP AIDE: “Some are. Some are out of custody.” TRUMP: “It's ridiculous!” The now-pardoned pro-lifers include Joan Bell, Coleman Boyd, Joel Curry, Jonathan Darnel, Eva Edl, Chester Gallagher, Rosemary “Herb” Geraghty, William Goodman, Dennis Green, Lauren Handy, Paulette Harlow, John Hinshaw, Heather Idoni, Jean Marshall, Fr. Fidelis Moscinski, Justin Phillips, Paul Place, Bevelyn Beatty Williams, and Calvin, Eva, and James Zastrow. I urge you to take a listen to the powerful testimonies of 11 of these brave pro-lifers, who urged abortion-minded pregnant women to choose life in March 2021 at a pro-life rescue at a Mt. Juliet, Tennessee abortion mill, through a series of conversations at StifledCry.com. That's StifledCry.com. Trump signs Executive Order releasing final JFK assassination files In addition, President Donald Trump signed an executive order on January 23, releasing additional government files associated with the assassinations of former President John F. Kennedy, former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., reports The Epoch Times. TRUMP AIDE: “Lastly sir, we have an Executive Order ordering the declassification of files relating to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” TRUMP: “That's a big one. A lot of people have been waiting for this for years, for decades. And everything will be revealed.” The order calls for the National Intelligence Director and the Attorney General to present a plan to the president within 15 days for the “full and complete release” of the remaining JFK assassination records and 45 days for the RFK and King records. Trump and former President Joe Biden previously released thousands of documents related to JFK's killing. Roughly 99 percent of the assassination files have been released as of 2023, according to the National Archives. Episcopal Bishop confronted Trump on homosexuals and illegal aliens And finally, on Tuesday, a female Episcopal Church bishop directly confronted President Donald Trump at a worship service held at the Washington National Cathedral, where she pleaded with him to “have mercy” on homosexuals, transgenders, and illegal immigrants, reports The Christian Post. Bishop Mariann Budde of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington delivered the sermon at the Service of Prayer for the Nation at the cathedral. Near the end of her sermon, Budde directly addressed Trump, who was seated in the front row alongside his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, and Vice President J.D. Vance and his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance. BUDDE: “Let me make one final plea. Mr. President, millions have put their trust in you, and as you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God. “In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives. “The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meat-packing plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants, and work the night shifts in hospitals. They, they may not be citizens or have the proper documentation, but the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors. They are faithful members of our churches and mosques, synagogues, Gurdwara, and temples. “I ask you to have mercy, Mr. President, on those in our communities whose children fear that their parents will be taken away.” Fox News commentator Greg Gutfeld brought clarity to the conversation. GUTFELD: “She's talking about behaviors. And she's cloaking these behaviors under the false guise of compassion. I mean, she's lecturing a guy who got shot about being in danger. Who is she implying that is putting these people in danger? Are there guys in MAGA hats that are mutilating healthy children and removing their genitals. No, that's her team!” And Liz Storer, Sky News Host in Australia, was equally horrified with the Episcopalian Bishop. STORER: “For shame! So, there you are. I don't know much about the Episcopalian Church, but there's your bishop in Washington, pleading with the new President of the United States to, I don't know, do what? -- for what the Scriptures very clearly call a lifestyle of abomination. “So, I don't know where this woman is coming from. This ‘our God' that she's referring to certainly is not the Christian God!” Leviticus 18:22 says, “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.” And regarding her reference to illegal immigrants, President Trump spoke out on Truth Social. He wrote, “The so-called Bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was a Radical Left hard-line Trump hater. She brought her church into the world of politics in a very ungracious way. … “She failed to mention the large number of illegal migrants that came into our country and killed people. Many were deposited from jails and mental institutions. It is a giant crime wave that is taking place in the USA. … She and her church owe the public an apology!” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, January 24th, in the year of our Lord 2025. • In the history of classic football rants, Dennis Green's reigns supreme: "They are who we thought they were! And we let them off the hook!" A lot of interesting scores came out of the first full week of district play last week. Who was who you thought they were? And were there any surprises?• In the 21st century, there has been no more consistently good Centex rivalry than China Spring-La Vega. The Pirates are clearly the district favorites. But is this a rivalry game "anything can happen" cliche? Or is that even a possibility?• Two years ago, University and Belton played an epic Week 11 matchup for the district title, won by the Tigers, 31-29. Last year, it was a 24-14 Belton win down south. So surely the Trojans are ready to break through and take revenge this week, right? And how badly do they need a bounce-back after that Rudder game?• Helmet stickers are earned, not given. And we don't want to overlook any Centex teams. Several teams are quietly putting together some great seasons. Who's flying under the radar? How about Fairfield, Clifton, Axtell, Bremond, Aquilla or someone else?----- Music: https://purple-planet.com Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
It's Tuesday, October 1st, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson South African homeschoolers face jail if kids not in school Last week, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa signed the controversial Basic Education Law Amendments Bill into law in an effort to federalize and centralize control over the nation's education program. The law would levy a year-long prison sentence for truancy, ban all corporal punishment, and require parents to apply to the National Department of Education for permission to homeschool their children or face charges. Christian View Network has been warning for years that the bill is a radical threat to parental rights. Estimates put the number of homeschooled children in South Africa as high as 300,000, reports the South African Broadcast Corporation. An organization dedicated to protecting parental rights in South Africa, The Pestalozzi Trust, has informed the president they will be appealing the Act to the nation's high court. The Trust argues that “the Act imposes excessive regulatory burdens on parents who opt for homeschooling.” Austrian Freedom Party gaining ground The Left is facing a backlash in Europe. The right-leaning, Freedom Party of Austria gained more votes than any other party in the elections held over the weekend — now holding 29% of the seats in parliament. However, the Socialist Party, the left-leaning People's Party, the Greens, and the Communists together hold 67% of the seats. Germany and France witness political gains on the right Last month, the German election yielded more gains for the right-leaning Alternative for Germany Party than any other election since World War II. And, in July, the French elections expanded the rightist party by 50% at the expense of the center. Hurricane Helene's death toll climbs to 116 Hurricane Helene has come and gone, and left a mass of destruction in its path. Ryan Cole, a North Carolina county emergency official, told The Independent Mail, “We have biblical devastation through the county. This is the most significant natural disaster that any one of us has ever seen.” The death count has topped 116 thus far. There are still 600 people missing in North Carolina. Officials count 46 fatalities in North Carolina, 27 deaths in South Carolina, 25 deaths in Georgia, and 13 in Florida. This makes for the second most deadly hurricane in the last 12 years. Could Amish save Western Civilization from Kamala? Could the Amish save Western civilization from Kamala Harris and the socialists? That's what Scott Pressler from Early Vote Action thinks. Scott pointed out on X social media platform that “there are 90,000 Amish voters in Pennsylvania, and the last presidential election was decide by 80,000 votes.” 2 pro-lifers get long prison sentences for peaceful civil disobedience A federal judge sentenced three more pro-lifers for participating in a protest at an abortion clinic in Tennessee on March 5, 2021, reports World Magazine. Chester Gallagher, the leader of the pro-life rescue, received a harsh sentence of 16 months. Heather Idoni was sent to prison for 8 months. And another pro-lifer received a 3-month probation sentence. Four others -- Paul Vaughan, Calvin Zastrow, Coleman Boyd, and Dennis Green -- had already received sentences back in July. Attorney Steve Crampton with The Thomas More Society argued that the protest was “a peaceful demonstration by entirely peaceable citizens—filled with prayer, hymn-singing, and worship—oriented toward persuading expectant mothers not to abort their babies.” Calgary Pastor vs. Drag Queens Today, as I guest host for Kevin Swanson on Generations Radio, I interview a gutsy Canadian pastor named Derek Reimer in Calgary, Alberta. He dared to speak the truth at a Drag Queen Story Hour event at the library. Listen. McMANUS: “When you heard about these drag queen events where men dress up as women, really caricatures of women, with ridiculously heavy makeup, big wigs, crazy attire, long false eyelashes, and five-inch tall heels, what was your reaction when you heard that it was coming to your town, to your library?” REIMER: “That this was disgusting. It was vile. It was appalling, repugnant. I don't even have enough adjectives to describe it. “So, it's like this righteous indignation that rises up in protection of these little ones. Because when I went to drag events, there was a sign up, ‘Reading with Royalty,' ages zero to eight years old. That's disgusting, how they want to indoctrinate, sexualize and corrupt these little children.” Not only was Pastor Reimer arrested that time, but two additional times and spent 43 days in jail for simply objecting to drag queens in the library. To hear my whole 39-minute conversation, go to Generations.org/radio. That's Generations.org/radio. Will Arizona imprison grandmother who feeds the homeless? And finally, Bullhead City, Arizona is looking at putting a grandmother in jail. A U.S. district court ruled that Norma Thornton is guilty of providing food to the poor in a city park. She was arrested in July 2022, and faces a fine of up to $1,431, 120 days in jail, and 24 months of probation. The city ordinance forbids any “food-sharing event” at a public park. For now, Norma continues to use up about half her income to feed 30 people a day in an alley behind a jet ski shop that has no shade, no tables, or no restrooms, reports WorldNetDaily.com. In Mark 8:6-9, “Jesus commanded the people to sit down on the ground, and He took the seven loaves and gave thanks and broke it, and gave to His disciples to set before the people, so they did eat, and were filled. And they that had eaten were about four thousand.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, October 1st, in the year of our Lord 2024. The Christian protesters prayed and sang hymns. They were sitting peacefully in the lobby of the abortion center. The protesters included: Chester Gallagher, 73, of Lebanon, Tennessee; Heather Idoni, 58; Calvin Zastrow, 57; and Caroline Davis, 24; all of Michigan; Coleman Boyd, 51, of Bolton, Mississippi; Dennis Green, 56, of Cumberland, Virginia; and Paul Vaughn, 55, of Centerville, Tennessee. Then in October 2022 Biden's Gestapo arrested eleven pro-life activists for a peaceful protest at an abortion clinic that took place over a year ago. The eleven pro-life activists face up to eleven years in prison and $250,000 in fines. The jobs in question would largely consist of areas like food service, equipment repairs, facilities management and office assistance, and would apply to those who have obtained a work permit, the memo states. To make these jobs more accessible, the state is proposing to create “transitional” titles with requirements more in line with the candidates' qualifications. Once in those jobs, the workers would receive training and support to help them gain the necessary skills to be eligible for permanent roles. -Bloomberg Source: zerohedge.com https://twitter.com/RubinReport/status/1747964082219536611?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1747964082219536611%7Ctwgr%5E6853392c7f817ddf955ed65d457d404ff075b876%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thegatewaypundit.

They face up to 11 years in prison. The pro-life activists were accused by the Department of Justice of violating the FACE Act and civil rights conspiracy for a protest that took place in a hallway outside of a Mount Juliet abortion provider on March 5, 2021. On that day, a group of demonstrators gathered on the second floor of an office building in the hallway outside the Carafem Health Center Clinic. The group prayed, sang hymns, and urged women showing up to the clinic to not get abortions. Those on trial included Chet Gallagher of Tennessee, Coleman Boyd of Mississippi, Heather Idoni of Michigan, Cal Zastrow of Michigan, Paul Vaughn of Tennessee, and Dennis Green of Virginia. All six defendants were found guilty of both counts. They are expected to be sentenced in July. The conspiracy charge can be punished with up to 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and fines of up to $350,000 while the FACE Act charge can lead to one year in prison and a $10,000 fine. The verdict was delivered on the fifth day of the trial, which took place at the Fred D. Thompson courthouse in Nashville. The case was overseen by Judge Aleta Trauger, appointed to the court in 1998 by then-President Bill Clinton. One of the government’s key witnesses was Caroline Davis, a woman who was arrested with the group at Carafem. During her testimony, Davis claimed that she had a change of heart about attending the protest and that her “rational side” was “in the toilet” at the time of her participation. She said that she changed her mind “over time” and that being indicted by the federal government “terrified” her. Video of the demonstration showed the group singing songs like “Holy, Holy, Holy,” and “Onward Christian Soldiers,” while others showed members of the group talking to police. Another video showed one participant telling another to speak “in love” to a man with his girlfriend who had shown up at Carafem and that someone’s “baby is a gift from God.” https://www.foxnews.com/politics/texas-governor-abbott-stark-message-sanctuary-cities-migrant-crisis Texas Gov. Abbott sends stark message to sanctuary cities as migrant crisis continues Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott sent a stark message to sanctuary cities on Monday, vowing his state's transportation of migrants to their areas would continue until the federal government takes action on the worsening border crisis. "Texas has transported over 102,000 migrants to sanctuary cities. Overwhelmed Texas border towns should not bear the brunt of Biden’s open border policies. Our transportation mission will continue until Biden secures the border," Abbott wrote in a post on X. Abbott's promise comes amid his feud with the Biden administration over enforcement of the border, and whether Texas has the authority to defend itself from the waves of migrants overwhelming law enforcement and immigration officials. The two sides have been feuding since 2021 when the migrant crisis escalated and Texas launched Operation Lone Star to surge resources to the border. The administration recently sued over an anti-illegal immigration law that allows state and local law enforcement to arrest illegal immigrants. It has also sued over the state’s setting up of buoys in the Rio Grande. The administration says immigration enforcement is up to the federal government and Texas is interfering. Last week, the Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision on an emergency appeal to temporarily overturn a lower court’s injunction that banned the federal government from cutting razor fencing Texas had installed along the border near Eagle Pass while litigation continues. Following the ruling, Abbott declared his constitutional authority to reserve the right of his state to self-defense against an invasion, adding that the executive branch had broken its constitutional pact with the states by failing to enforce federal immigration laws. Former President Donald Trump on Thursday gave his backing to Abbott amid the latter’s feud with the Biden administration — urging states to send their National Guards to the border and promising to work "hand in hand" with the state to combat the "invasion" if he is inaugurated again in January 2025. Abbott has also picked up the support of more than two dozen Republican states who have publicly expressed their support for the state. Meanwhile, some Democrats have urged the Biden administration to seize control of the National Guard. https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-disneyland-posts-woke-wheel-of-privilege-in-employee-kitchen-removes-it-after-daily-wire-inquiry Disneyland Posts Woke ‘Wheel Of Privilege’ In Employee Kitchen, Removes It After Daily Wire Inquiry Posters featuring a “wheel of power/privilege” were hung in employee spaces in Disneyland, instructing employees that being white, “cisgender male,” and even speaking English means you have “unearned” privilege that your “marginalized” coworkers do not, according to images obtained by The Daily Wire. The wheel featured for all employees to see has the word “power” in the middle, and is sectioned like a dart board, with certain traits fanning outward that are labeled “marginalized.” For example, being white, a “cisgender male,” owning property, and speaking English are all considered privileged, while being dark-skinned, transgender, homeless, and not speaking English are considered marginalized. In between the inner and outer circle – which would be considered not completely marginalized but not totally privileged either – are “cisgender women,” gay men, people with a high school education, and who learned English. Included with the wheel is a definition of “privilege,” stating that it is “unearned access or advantage granted to specific groups of people because of their membership in a social group.” “Privilege can be based off a variety of different social identities such as race, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, ability status, sexuality, age, education level, and more,” it continues. “Within the US, members of social groups that hold privileges (white, male, wealthy, able-bodied, etc) have historically held dominance and power over targeted groups.” The poster also asks, “why should we accept that we have privileges?” It provides the following answer: “By accepting that we have privileges, we can see that not everyone sees the world from our perspective and that we have privileges in our life that have hindered our awareness of the world.” The image was provided by source who works for the Walt Disney Company, who wished to remain anonymous for fear of retribution from the company. The employee said the materials were posted in the production kitchen on Main Street USA in Disneyland in Anaheim, California. This production kitchen services Carnation Cafe, The Tropical Hideaway, Jolly Holiday Bakery and Cafe, and Refreshment Corner sponsored by Coca Cola. The employee said divisive materials like this are “destroying the magic” of the park. “So many cast members, myself included, are tired of the division being pushed by companies with a lack of regard for the founder’s vision,” the source told The Daily Wire. “This isn’t what Walt would have wanted for his company. He once said, ‘To ALL who come to this happy place, Welcome.’ Things like this make people feel unwelcome, destroying the magic.” The Daily Wire reached out to the Walt Disney Company to ask about the poster and why they are posted. Within hours of reaching out, our source said a manager removed the poster, and sent a photo of the now-empty display cabinet, which still features another poster about the lunar new year and 2024 being the year of the dragon. Disney did not ultimately respond to the request for comment. Disney has come under fire in recent years for its turn toward “wokeness,” with numerous box-office blunders for films deemed to be pushing Leftist political agendas. Top-ranking employees at Disney have also admitted to pushing a “not-at-all-secret gay agenda,” The Daily Wire previously reported. In 2023, the company lost nearly $1 billion on movies like Elemental and The Little Mermaid. Company CEO Bob Iger admitted last year that Disney lost sight of entertainment as it put more political messaging into its content. https://www.dailyfetched.com/serbia-to-introduce-a-mandatory-military-draft-amid-ww3-tensions/ Serbia to Introduce a Mandatory Military Draft amid WW3 Tensions Serbia is reportedly considering reintroducing compulsory military service as tensions in the Balkans and elsewhere in Europe begin increasing amid WW3 fears. President Aleksandar Vucic said army commanders gave him “a strong argumentation” in favor of mandatory draft. Compulsory drafts here were suspended in 2011 in a push to professionalize the armed forces. However, the Serbian president did not specify when the draft would return but said the national parliament would vote on the proposal. “We are not threatening anyone,” Vucic said. “Today, if you don’t have (a strong) army, you don’t have a country.” “We will see if it (military service) will last 90 or 100 days, or maybe 110 days,” Vucic told reporters. “As well as when it will be introduced and how the financial and logistical assumptions will be fulfilled.” The Washington Post reported: “Opposition politicians and other critics of a draft have questioned the logic of a military buildup when Serbia is almost completely surrounded by NATO member countries which have superior firepower in case of a conflict. There are also concerns that the government may struggle to foot the bill for a larger military. Tensions have been high in the Balkans, which went through the bloody breakup of the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s. Although formally neutral, the Serbian Army has maintained close ties to Russia, from which it purchases most of its arms, including fighter jets and tanks.“ Serbia was one of the few countries to refuse sanctions against Russia over its invasion of Ukraine. Tensions revolved around Serbia’s former province of Kosovo, which declared independence in 2008, which Serbia and allies Russia and China have not recognized. Over the last few months, Serbia has raised the combat readiness on the border with Kosovo several times. The country also maintained cordial relations with NATO, whose troops have been stationed in Kosovo since 1999. Earlier this week, top military officials warned that conscription could happen in the UK if NATO goes to war with Russia. General Sir Patrick Sanders, the outgoing head of the British Army, said such a conflict would need to be a “whole-of-nation undertaking.” “Within the next three years, it must be credible to talk of a British Army of 120,000, folding in our reserve and strategic reserve. But this is not enough,” he said. “We will not be immune and as the pre-war generation we must similarly prepare – and that is a whole-of-nation undertaking,” Sanders added. “Ukraine brutally illustrates that regular armies start wars; citizen armies win them. “But we’ve been here before, and workforce alone does not create capability.” The BBC reports that “other senior NATO military commanders have also recently been calling on the alliance to ready itself for a potential conflict.” According to the outlet: In response to Gen Sir Patrick speech the UK prime minister’s spokesman said hypothetical scenarios of a future potential conflict were not helpful and ruled out any move towards a conscription model for the Army. One senior Conservative MP told the BBC he did not think Rishi Sunak had fully appreciated the threat posed by Russia. The MP said that might be because the prime minister when growing up had not experienced the existential threat posed by the old Soviet Union during the Cold War era. Gen Sir Patrick said the nation could not afford to make the same mistakes of 1914, when it failed to perceive the escalations that led to World War One. And that is your news for today… Now folks, normally this is the part where I’d ask you to send me a news story to my email, or if you have questions about the upcoming FLF conference shoot me an email, etc. But alas, not this time. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed bringing you the news over the last year and a half or so. I’ve enjoyed giving you a look at what’s happening around the world on your morning commute to work… but I’ve received a job offer out of state - down in Huntsville AL, that I just couldn’t pass up. If you’re down that way, friend me up on Facebook by the way and we’ll meet up! With that being said, I wanted to tell you, the listener, how thankful I am for you giving my news show a listen. For saying hello at our FLF Conferences when I was out and about, for sending me news stories to my email, for the encouragement, or constructive criticism I’d receive when I couldn’t pronounce something… which believe me, I’m aware of those things… All of that to say. It's Wednesday, January 31st, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Pakistani Christian students no longer required to study Islam Last week, Pakistan's government announced it will no longer require Christian students to study Islam in schools. Non-Muslim students will even be allowed to study the religion of their family. International Christina Concern noted, “This decision is a small win for religious freedom in Pakistan, where Christians are routinely subjected to blasphemy laws, mob violence, and forced marriage and conversion.” Under the new rules, Christian students in schools will be able to study the Bible, church history, the influence of Christianity in Pakistan, and even Christian martyrs in the country. Please pray for this opportunity for Christian education in Pakistan and for many to come to the knowledge of Christ through it. This year's predicted global economic growth -- 3.1% The International Monetary Fund upgraded its global economic forecast yesterday. It now expects global growth of 3.1% this year and a smaller chance of economic contraction. The IMF forecasts the U.S. will grow 2.1%. The U.S. economy finished 2023 stronger than expected with gross domestic product increasing 3.3% in the fourth quarter. Six pro-life rescuers found guilty in Tennessee The Daily Wire reports that six pro-life rescuers were found guilty yesterday during federal court proceedings in Nashville, Tennessee. The Biden administration accused them of civil rights conspiracy as well as violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act. The pro-lifers participated in a peaceful protest at an abortion mill in Tennessee on March 5, 2021. The protest included prayers and singing hymns. The men and women on trial include Chet Gallagher of Tennessee, Coleman Boyd of Mississippi, Heather Idoni of Michigan, Cal Zastrow of Michigan, Paul Vaughn of Tennessee, and Dennis Green of Virginia. The conspiracy charge can carry a prison sentence of up to 11 years and fines of up to $350,000. Please pray for these pro-lifers as they face sentencing in July. Psalm 43:1 says, “Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!” Pro-life leader Rusty Thomas reacts to guilty verdicts of pro-lifers Rusty Thomas, the founder of Kingdom Leadership Institute in Waco, Texas, posted a Facebook video with his reaction to the unjust guilty verdicts against the six pro-life rescuers. Listen. THOMAS: “This is a sad day. It just shows just how unjust our justice system has become, how far from God we have gone. ‘No greater love have any man to lay down his life for a friend.' (John 15:13) That ‘no greater love' ethic has just been stomped to the ground by our justice system. “Pray that this awakens the church and awakens our nation. This is despicable. This is tragic. We've lost our moral compass. We don't know the difference between right and wrong and good and evil anymore. It's gotten so mucky and murky. This just demonstrates just how far we have gone from the Father's house and how desperate we are for the Lord's intervention.” Texas Governor vs. U.S. Supreme Court over border crisis Last Wednesday, Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott declared the immigration crisis an invasion and invoked the state's “constitutional authority to defend and protect itself.” Abbott said the authority, “supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary.” On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the federal government can take down razor wire that Texas puts up at the southern border with Mexico. However, Abbott said he will only increase state border patrol, barriers, and replace the razor wire. At least 10 states have sent National Guard troops and personnel to support Texas. Gen Z's moral confusion A new survey from the Public Religion Research Institute found nearly a third of Gen Z adults identify with sexually perverted lifestyles. Seventy-two percent of Gen Z adults, those who are 18 to 25 years old, identified as heterosexual. About a third of Gen Z adults are religiously unaffiliated, and 10% identified as non-Christian, the highest of any generation. Psalm 14:1 says, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.'” Gen Z adults' identification with sexually perverted lifestyles is double that of the Millennials at 16% and quadruple that of Gen X at 7%. Elon Musk's company implanted computer chip in brain And finally, Elon Musk announced his startup Neuralink implanted a computer chip in a person's brain for the first time. The tech billionaire wrote on X, “Initial results show promising neuron spike detection.” Musk said the device is designed to allow patients to operate a phone or computer by thinking. First users will be those who lost the use of their limbs. Neuralink's website noted, “The device is designed to interpret a person's neural activity, so they can operate a computer or smartphone by simply intending to move – no wires or physical movements are required.” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Wednesday, January 31st in the year of our Lord 2024. Hour 1 It's Halloween and the NFL trade deadline day. The Giants traded Leonard Williams to the Seahawks and they will probably be fielding more calls today. Saquon Barkley is still rumored to be available for a trade. Gio thinks John Mara does not want to get rid of him. The Bills could be a great landing spot for Saquon as the Bills have a lot of draft picks. If the Giants continue to lose, they are going to have an option to pick a quarterback in the draft. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with the Lions having no problem with the Raiders last night. Jimmy Garoppolo had a terrible night. Davante Adams is frustrated as he had just one catch last night. Brian Daboll talked about Daniel Jones now starting against the Raiders. Rob Saleh talked about playing in the rain Sunday. Boomer said there is something going on with the turf at MetLife. Max Scherzer left in the third inning with back tightness. Aaron Judge won the Roberto Clemente Award. Cam Thomas had a good night as the Nets won their first game of the season. James Harden was traded to the Clippers. The Rangers swept their roadtrip winning all 5 games. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Kayvon Thibodeaux's performance against the Jets Sunday. The Giants cannot shut down Saquon Barkley trade talks. Teams like the Bills and Ravens may give up a decent draft pick for him. Hour 2 Gio has full size candy bars for all the trick or treaters. Last year he had beers for the adults but he's not sure if he should do that again. We also talked about parents who bring alcohol to their kids' sporting events or dance recitals. We took calls from people who did just that. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked about 13 backup quarterbacks taking a snap last week. Gio wants the Vikings to go get Mike White. The Lions beat the Raiders and Davante Adams was very frustrated with Jimmy Garoppolo overthrowing him. Brian Daboll was asked why he didn't let Tommy DeVito throw the ball. Mike Francesa was furious that DeVito wasn't allowed to throw. Two radio hosts in Cleveland were yelling at each other over Kevin Stefanski. In the final segment of the hour, Gio talked about his daughter not paying attention during her soccer games. A caller also thinks Brian Daboll is not Head Coaching material. Hour 4 Gio is excited for Halloween today and will be playing Halloween songs for the trick or treaters. There is a story out there that ex-NBA player Joe Smith's wife has an Only Fans page that he's not aware of. Gio thinks it was staged as a way to promote her page. Gio talked about ASMR videos of people just making noises by crumpling paper. Gio watched two episodes of Naked Attraction. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Lions beating the Raiders last night. Davante Adams only had 1 catch for 11 yards and he has no words to express what's going on. Gio thinks today is going to be a dud of a trade deadline in the NFL. The Giants go on a 3-game road trip beginning this week in Vegas. The Texas Rangers beat the Diamondbacks and take a 2-1 series lead. Aaron Judge won the Roberto Clemente Award. The Moment of The Day involves parents drinking at their children's sporting events and dance recitals. In the final segment of the show, we talked about today's NFL trade deadline. [A summer vacation re-release of a fan favorite episode from January 2020!] It's a return to the gridiron, and a revealing behind-the-scenes look at the brash, but ultimately ill-fated United Football League of 2009-12 – with its only commissioner, Michael Huyghue (Behind the Line of Scrimmage: Inside the Front Office of the NFL). Formed in 2007 out of big-budget dreams to establish a national top-tier, Fall-season minor league pro football circuit by high-wattage investors like San Francisco investment banker Bill Hambrecht, Google executive Tim Armstrong and Dallas Mavericks owner/firebrand Mark Cuban (who later backed out, along with initially-rumored financier T. Boone Pickens) – the UFL was also conveniently timed to capitalize on fallout from any potential labor/owner strife prior to the 2011-12 NFL season, when the league's collective bargaining agreement with its players expired. The bet backfired when a correctly-anticipated owner lockout of players quickly ended in July of 2011, ensuring no regular season disruption or drama. Over the course of its history, five teams played in the league: the Las Vegas Locomotives, Hartford Colonials (originally the New York Sentinels), Omaha Nighthawks, Sacramento Mountain Lions (née California Redwoods), and Virginia Destroyers (successors to the Florida Tuskers). The Locomotives were historically the best of the franchises, winning two of the UFL's three championship games, and possessing an undefeated regular season record when the league suspended operations (ultimately for good) in mid-Fall 2012. Big-name NFL coaches like Jim Haslett, Jay Gruden, Dennis Green, Marty Schottenheimer, and Jim Fassel were featured attractions, as were recognizable pro talent like Simeon Rice, Josh McCown, Daunte Culpepper, and Jeff Garcia – to name just a few. Huyghue walks host Tim Hanlon through the numerous ups, frequent downs and multiple sideways' of the UFL's brief lifespan, including: how early-career front office experiences in the NFL (Lions, Jaguars), WLAF (Birmingham Fire), and NFL Players' Association uniquely prepared him to the UFL commissioner's role; league ownership's original intention to play as a Spring league; the allure of then-untapped pro markets like Omaha, Las Vegas Sacramento; and lessons learned that could have helped last year's AAF and this year's soon-to-launch XFL. + + + Support the show with Dollar Shave Club's “Ultimate Shave Starter Set” for just $5! + + + BUY/READ EARLY & OFTEN: "Behind the Line of Scrimmage: Inside the Front Office of the NFL" (2018) FIND & FOLLOW: Website: https://goodseatsstillavailable.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/GoodSeatsStill Instagram (+ Threads): https://www.instagram.com/goodseatsstillavailable/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GoodSeatsStillAvailable/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@goodseatsstillavailable

Carl Hargrave was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1992 to 2006, finishing his career as the tight ends coach of the Arizona Cardinals. Over his twelve years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 104-88-0. Carl received numerous awards and accolades through out his playing career at Upper Iowa University before being drafted by the Oakland Raiders in 1976.
