Welcome to Databank Brawl Rewind! Databank Brawl was a series that ran on ForceCenter from 2016 to 2020 and it remains one of our more beloved shows. Though Databank Brawl is on hiatus, we wanted to celebrate it along with the longtime listeners of the podcast and reintroduce it to the ForceCenter listeners who began listening to the podcast after the end of the show's run. Though all of the episodes remain on our podcast feed it can be daunting to scroll back and find them, so we're launching Databank Rewind. Here's your chance to go back to those episodes week-by-week and laugh with us at old jokes, memorable moments, unforgettable guests, and, yeah, old microphones, recordings, and perhaps some Star Wars predictions that came true alongside many that most certainly did not. In Star Wars Episode 2 Attack of the Clones, Anakin Skywalker is so upset after the loss of Shmi Skywalker on Tatooine to the Tusken Raiders. There are hot takes, and then there are truly hoth takes. In this episode, Wired security reporter Lily Hay Newman returns to Hoth Takes to defend one of the most controversial Star Wars claims we've ever heard: that The Book of Boba Fett was a good TV show. Lily loved how the show played with different forms of storytelling, and she came away from it with a newfound interest in Boba Fett. But here on Hoth Takes, she has some explaining to do. How does she respond to Eric and Grace's complaints about the Din Djarin and Grogu interludes and the unceremonious slaughter of the Tusken Raiders? What does she have to say about the mod parlor's cheap resurrection trick? And what can she possibly mean by comparing The Book of Boba Fett to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine?
in Star Wars Attack of the Clones, we all witnessed the wrath of Anakin Skywalker as he slaughtered the Tusken Raiders after the death of his mother...and we all saw how Yoda felt the pain next to Mace Windu. Did they know he slaughtered the sand people? What if they did? What would have happened? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
In today's canon Darth Vader episode we're going to cover the events from Issue #1 to issue #25 where Darth Vader goes back to Tatooine and finds himself with a little spare time...using it wisely, he pays a little visit to a massive tribe of Tusken Raiders. Enjoy! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
In the book from a certain point of view, we get to learn that Obi-Wan knew about what Anakin had done to the sand people all those years ago? How did the Sand People know who Anakin even was? Did Palpatine have something to do with it? If Obi-Wan hadn't saved Luke Skywalker...what would have happened to him?? Would the Tusken Raiders know that Luke was a Skywalker, the son of the man who raided their entire village all those years ago? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The Mandalorian Season 2, Chapter 9, the Marshall, has tons of Easter eggs and things missed in this one that I can't wait to explain to the best of my abilities. We start with Mando on Nevarro 7, I think, as he walks through a grungy spray painted place, now on the walls there's tons of cool stuff. We see a BX-Battle Droid, what looks like Vader, we see Grievous, We se snow troopers, what looks like c-3PO but what could be a CZ3 droid, but even that I don't think it is. Right here we see Chewie and the giant worm thing, there we see Vader, honestly I could keep going on these spray painted walls which I might in another video, but for now, let's move on. Wampa, Watto, maybe. Mando has a run in with Gor Koresh at this gladiator style event where Gamorreans fight each other, they're actually slaves with owners. Got Karesh plays it like he'll tell Mando where to find more Mandos so that Baby Yoda can be reunited with its kind, until he turns on him and a brawl breaks out. Some Zabraks fight Mando, who were the species Maul was, until Mando pulls out his vibro blade which I've done a full video on by itself. Mando takes em down and leaves Gor Karesh to be eaten by some Hounds, Flying to Tatooine, he meets up with Cobb Vanth, who is wearing Boba Fett's armor. How could this be? Boba Fett died to the Sarlacc in Return of the Jedi, right? Could he be alive, still? Mando and Cobb team up with Tusken Raiders to take down the Krayt Dragon and in doing so, Cobb vows to give Mando the Boba armor. The Dragon is defeated, and the Tuskens find a pearl within the Dragon. This was directly taken out of KOTOR. As The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda speed into the twin suns of Tatooine, a mysterious man is looming from afar, watching their every move... BOBA FETT! HE LIVES! Learn more about your ad choices. Star War Nites at Disneyland are a part of the Disneyland After Dark set of events. These special themed nights are after-hours parties that allow guests to enjoy special themed entertainment. These are separate ticket events that take place on a select number of nights each year.Special exclusive Star Wars characters will be out in the parks. Last year we loved seeing the Ewoks. Characters mentioned already for the 2023 event include Captain Phasma and her Stormtroopers appearing in Tomorrowland and the Tusken Raider and Jawas. There will also be a lightsaber instructional demonstration where you'll learn to handle a lightsaber through a series of elite moves to bring our your inner Jedi.Guests will also receive a commemorative credential and guide map as well as unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass digital photos taken during the party. (Credentials and maps are limited to one per ticketed person.)You'll also find Star Wars-themed eats and treats, merchandise, photo opportunities, and more.Star Wars costumes are encouraged though guests will still have to follow the Disneyland costume policy. The main entertainment showstopper is the Star Wars themed fireworks which take place at 9:30PM. This is definitely the not miss event of the evening! Star Wars fans will love this fireworks show. My favorite part was easily the snippet featuring Duel of Fates. The fans in the crowd went wild for this- myself included! But the fireworks are such a big draw that you can easily use this time to take advantage of shorter character lines!Other notable entertainment options include:Galactic DJ Party ZoneMain Street, U.S.A.Fleet of FandomMain Street, U.S.A.Lightsaber MeetupStar Wars: Galaxy's EdgeMarch of First OrderTomorrowlandLightsaber MastersFantasylandOverall, we had a great experience at our Disneyland After Dark event. We weren't able to do everything we wanted to but we decided in advance what our top priorities were and managed them quite well.We mobile ordered food before the party began which allowed us to skip any long food line waits. If a Disneyland After Dark event takes place during your next vacation, I'd recommend checking it out whether you're going for the specific theme or just utilizing the no wait times for rides!

Hello There! Join your host Isabella as she looks into three different topics discussing if Star Wars characters can hear sounds while in the vacuum, the mad Doctor Cornelius Evazan who gave Luke Skywalker a hard time at the Cantina, and that time Obi-Wan Kenobi scared the Tusken Raiders with a brilliant tactic. SWORR is now on break for the rest of August. Look out for new episodes releasing in September! !!SPOILER WARNING!! Being a Star Wars podcast we freely talk about every movie/show including: Every Movie, The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch, Rebels, The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
It's finally here! For so long, we heard rumors about an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie coming out, but Disney landed on making it a series on Disney Plus. Hear how Luke and Isaac (original recipe episode!) feel about Obi's latest adventure becoming the best babysitter ever! Or is Mando a better one? Or maybe the Bad Batch? Or, what about some guy in Rebels I don't know about. Probably Ezra's father figure. Anyway, does this make you more excited for more Star Wars or are you DONE? Which one are you? Decide quick! Because more is coming. Also no one is talking about Luke Skywalker as a little kid. I think he was really well cast. Seems like a right soy boy chump who thinks he's not afraid of Tusken Raiders. Get a grip kid. If you listen really closely, when Luke says that, you can hear Yoda say, "you will be... you Will be..." and then he goes "braeghh!" Enjoy, kids.
“HOKEY RELIGIONS AND ANCIENT WEAPONS…"“On this week's episode, we finally get to talk the about the one that started it all: Star Wars (1977). Or rather: Star Wars: A New Hope. In 2022, the film is celebrating its 45th anniversary and we thought now would be the best time to revisit the film and see how it holds up. We begin by talking about our earliest memories with the film, from how we first watched and loved it as children to how we remember it today. We go into the box office success, and how this is still one of the highest grossing films of all time after adjusted for inflation. From there, we cover the entire story, beginning with the iconic introduction with John William's score with the yellow text scrolling by, leading into an action-packed shootout and the introduction of one of the greatest villain in cinema history: Darth Vader. We talk about the extended sequence in Tatooine, where we are introduced to Luke Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi. What's surprising about this is how long this section truly is, and how it focuses on developing each of our characters and developing this universe, showing us how this universe's underbelly or villainy and scum, to the outsiders like the Tusken Raiders and Jawas. And we cover the introduction another set of legendary characters, Han Solo and Chewbacca. We talk about how these scenes from the film on Disney+, actually differ from when we originally saw them on our home video VHS tapes. During the Death Star, we focus the relationships between out three main leads, Han, Luke, and Leia, and how future installments don't quite reach the same level with their characters. And all this leads us to the finale, with an epic space battle that combines groundbreaking computer graphics and practical camera work to deliver one of the greatest climaxes in cinema history. On the next episode, we will talk about how George Lucas wrote and re-wrote and re-wrote Star Wars. We will get into how over the years the versions of the films have changed (and address an error made in the episode.) We will get into the troubled production and how the film we love was created in the editing room. We will talk about the impact Star Wars has had not just on us but on movies in general, and of course, we will get into our trademark quote section where we summarize how we feel about the film using one of its quotes. This is where the fun begins!Music is from Triune Digital and audio clips pulled from movies we will be reviewing in other episodes.Artwork by @jannelle_o
