On Episode 70 of The Tennis Files Podcast, I spoke with my good friend Peter Freeman about his journey from a top junior to teaching tennis players worldwide how to level up their tennis games. Pete is the founder of Crunch Time Coaching, and does an amazing job of creating tennis videos and other great content to help players improve their technique, strategy, and many other parts of their game. We talk about everything from Pete's development as a junior player, to how he got into coaching and the online tennis instruction space, and a ton of awesome tips on how we can improve and get more power on our serve, backhand, and volleys. This episode is a really fun and value-packed one, and I highly encourage you to hit the play button above to listen to it! In addition to running Crunch Time Coaching, Pete has a long list of credentials that makes him one of the top coaches in the business. Pete has coached division 1 college tennis players, produced state level and national champions, and has been awarded the honor of USTA Georgia Pro of the year. Pete also creates tons of fantastic tennis content on Youtube and I highly recommend you check out his Youtube Channel. He has coached under Tony Palafox, who was John McEnroe’s former coach, and Frank Brennan, a former Stanford University Coach who won 10 national titles. Pete has a huge passion for tennis and will do whatever it takes to get your game to the next level. Pete gave an amazing presentation on how to hit a monster topspin forehand on last year’s Tennis Technique Summit, and one on Slice Serve Strategy on this past year’s Tennis Summit 2018 that I hosted. If you haven't already, you can go to those links to check them out for free! Pete also hosts Tennis Con, an annual online tennis conference with some of the best names in the business like Gigi Fernandez, Rick Macci, Jeff Salzenstein, and many more! On top of all that, he is the Director of Tennis at Gold's Gym in Atlanta. It was a pleasure speaking with Pete on the podcast, and I know you'll really enjoy this episode and learn a lot about how we can improve our serve, backhands and volleys, and what it takes to become a great tennis coach. We get emails all the time about people wondering how to start their own blogs and how to make money from a blog. The first thing I will tell them is it is definitely not a get-rich-quick business, it takes a ton of effort and a little bit (or a lot) of time. Truth-be-told, I started Money Peach in March 2015 and didn’t see any revenue at all until December of that same year. I would imagine I put in close to 1,000 hours of blogging...not a great hourly rate in the beginning, right?! Now, I definitely don’t share this to scare you away from blogging, because just like anything in life...the reward is often worth the wait! Today, I am extremely grateful that the newbie blogger in 2015 never gave up. Today Money Peach provides a very incredible income for our family and it wouldn’t have ever happened with the labor of love in the very beginning. But what about you and your blog, right?
This is why I am bringing on my good friend Pete McPherson - founder of “Do You Even Blog?” and an absolute expert and all-star when it comes to starting and monetizing your next blog idea.
Pete has been a blogger for over a decade and has literally had over 40 failed blogs before reaching a ton of success with Do You Even Blog? Therefore, Pete knows a thing or two when it comes to starting a blog, growing a blog, and our favorite - MAKING MONEY through a blog. In fact, Pete is now generating just under $10,000 per month with his blog he started just 14 months ago. In this episode, Pete and I talk about... • How to get started even if you’re not quite sure where to start • The best places to start for FREE • Pete’s three tier approach to monetizing a blog • Why Pete spends so much time building out the FREE stuff first on his blog • How to monetize your blog when you have very little traffic • The biggest mistakes newbie bloggers make and how to avoid them

Whether you're thinking of launching a new CPG brand, or just finding ways to differentiate a product that's already on the shelves, today's guest is a wealth of knowledge in the natural foods startup space. We're talking with Pete Truby, founder of Salazon Chocolate. From working at Mrs. Meyer's when it was in its early stages, to being one of the first employees at Honest Tea, Pete has been a sponge - soaking up knowledge and information when it comes to startups, entrepreneurship, and the natural foods industry. Today, you'll get to hear how he's applied that knowledge in bootstrapping Salazon into a brand with national distribution. In our interview, you're going to learn: Why Pete believes branding is equally, or more, important than product value What the pros and cons are of taking outside investment money How to compete in-store with competitors that have deeper pockets than you And a whole lot more...
