In this episode of the TSE podcast, host Donald Kelly speaks with development lead Brain Liebel from Ambition. They dive deep into the rhythms of successful sales strategies and performance to redefine the sales approach. Donald and Brian unpack the essence of human interaction in sales, the strategic 'snowball effect' of building a robust sales pipeline, and how to turn data from sales conversations into tactical gold. Let's sift through the invaluable insights from this rich discussion. Human Interaction: The Core of Sales In today's world, where automation and technology are prevalent, the importance of human connection can sometimes be underestimated. However, Brian underscores the irreplaceable value of human-to-human interaction, especially during the initial conversations in the sales pipeline. Using analogies from lead utilization, he emphasizes the need for salespeople to focus on engagements ready to blossom instead of wasting potential opportunities. Creating a Documented Sales Process Drawing from his expertise, Brian advises having a carefully documented process within sales teams. This cornerstone allows for iteration and implementation of tactical solutions, moving beyond the often insufficient directive of simply 'putting in more effort.' The systematic approach is about leveraging every lead and conversation to build a 'snowball' that grows over time - a strategy that becomes increasingly more potent as insights and data are collected. The Role of Ambition and Networking Brian shares his experience with Ambition, a sales coaching and performance management platform. This tool exemplifies the integration of data-driven strategy into everyday sales tasks. Additionally, Brian extends an offer to connect on LinkedIn, allowing listeners to delve into sales discussions and gain further insights from a well-established industry leader. Organization in Prospecting Brian stresses the importance of organization in prospecting. He offers actionable advice on maintaining accurate data, imperative for evaluating performance and strategizing more effectively. He outlines four vital administrative tasks: transcribing notes at an account level, implementing a tagging system, devising customizable queries, and updating the conversation timeline. Deep Dive into Tagging Systems A specific focus was given to the tagging system, with Brian explaining that a balance is required in the number of tags used. This balance ensures that the system aids the organization without becoming overly complicated. Such a system assists in categorizing follow-ups, creating a more efficient path to revisit prospects. The 'Snowball Effect' of Sales Conversations Brian breaks down the 'snowball effect,' offering concrete statistics gathered from the Bridge group detailing the monthly average quality conversations salespeople have. He also illuminates the conversion rate of these interactions and the long-term value of conversations that don't immediately result in meetings. This is a testament to the importance of viewing every conversation as a stepping stone to eventual success. Collecting Sales 'Gold Flakes' To harness the full potential of conversations, Brian advocates keeping logs of critical data points post-discussion. He shares his tagging method for optimizing follow-up actions, such as tagging direct dials and follow-up dates. Additionally, the speakers recommend creating touchpoints on LinkedIn and sending follow-up emails to help prospects remember the interaction, likening the process to collecting small gold flakes that accumulate into a valuable reserve over time. Gratitude for Insights As the discussion wrapped up, both speakers exchanged gratitude, highlighting the importance of sharing knowledge and appreciation in the sales community. These moments of connection nurture professional relationships and foster a supportive atmosphere where learning and development can thrive. Donald and Brian agree that the meticulous process of cold prospecting, akin to sifting for gold, makes top-of-the-funnel activities enjoyable and fruitful. Sales professionals can elevate their pipelines by making every piece and interaction count and relish the journey toward a rewarding outcome. Join us for the next episode of “The Sales Evangelist” as we continue to uncover the art and science behind effective sales strategies. “How do you take all of this data and turn it into a tactical way to execute and return to these prospects you spoke to? You learned something, but it wasn't the right time to meet. What do you do with that? I think with a lot of salespeople is we're always looking to be a wordsmith on the phone or have the craftiest subject line or level up our training and seek all of this external flash. Right. All these flashy sales things. Organization and efficiency are two of the very unspoken things in the world right now. The best prospectors are when it comes to documenting all of these things that we do.” - Brian Liebel. Emily is named after the renowned poet, Emily Dickinson. 02:17: Books and literature played a significant role in Emily's childhood. This beautifully illustrated book showcases various community members collaborating to nurture a shared garden. 15:37: Carla believes that books provide an avenue for children to channel their anxieties and learn that positive change is possible. They promote a stronger bond with nature, teaching the importance of caring for and utilizing outdoor spaces for the collective good. 16:00: Emily emphasizes the vast range of topics books cover and the ease of finding them either through personal online searches or by visiting local establishments. She suggests consulting with local librarians as they stay updated with recent publications and have first-hand knowledge of the books available in their collection. They can thus quickly recommend relevant titles. 17:30: Emily stresses the importance of reflection by comparing personal experiences with those of characters in books. This helps children process their emotions and learn from their adventures. 18:02: Emily asserts that books can catalyse a child's imagination, turning their reading experiences into real-life adventures, enhancing both their creativity and pleasure. dXxe6kymXqV0iSUv3rXR 3 Key Points Emily Liebel emphasizes the harmonious blend of outdoor activities and reading for children. For episode #100 of Productivity Mastery, we welcomed Anna Liebel, a Mindshifter originally from Ukraine, and we talked about how you can turn perfectionism into something good for you. Anna shared a lot on the topic, including:
Finns det något vi kan göra för att underlätta för alla de människor som är direkt drabbade av det fruktansvärda som pågår i Ukraina? Det här är en annan typ av avsnitt, ägnat åt kriget! Gästar gör Nataly Lamkén (från Ukraina) och Niklas Börjesson, båda på Sigma Technology som har många ukrainska medarbetare. Även Anna Liebel, som också kommer från Ukraina, är med och ger oss perspektiv och insikter i hur vi bäst stöttar nu.
I don't think it's necessary to tell all of you that the world is INSANE right now with Putin going to war with Ukraine. What a child! The Original Deadtime Stories stands with Ukraine. I've seen a lot of posts on social media about what you can do to help and one of the things that keeps recurring in these posts is using the correct pronunciation of the capital, Kyiv. When we first recorded this episode, Taylor Shurte (who plays Iana Kasian in this chapter) taught me that some members of her family were from Ukraine and pronounced the capital city as Keeve instead of Key-yev. Ever since then if I talked about the Ukrainian capital, I tried to pronounce it the Ukrainian way instead of what the world taught us, the Russian way. So I hope this episode, in some little way, helps us stand with the Ukraine through our pronunciation of the capital city, Kyiv.Written and narrated by Schuyler Fastenau and executive produced by Daniel Jones. Additional voices by Rainee Blake, Marissa Pistone, Daniel Jones, Jordan Katcher, Janette Zosche, Taylor Shurte, Tamara Perry, Ariel Dale, Matt MacNelly, Sophia Sassone, Allyn Anthony Moriyon, and Jeremy Staple. Are you looking to grow your leadership? Do you want to be a more impactful leader? Are you ready to tap into your zone of genius as a leader? Our special guest Anna Liebel (Reykjavík Iceland) answers these and other questions about leadership, vulnerability and self-leadership. Anna Liebel is the creator of what she calls the Zone of Genius and her mission is to live happily and help others choose to do the same. As a Mindshifter, she helps male leaders in tech get out of the firefighter mode, become the proactive Leaders they want to be, and enjoy the ride as they go. Anna's background is in engineering and project management, and back in the corporate days, she met too many brilliant humans who acted as stressed, overwhelmed managers-firefighters. She is committed to shifting the workplace practices to empower these brilliant humans to become the Genius Leaders they can be. Her practice is highly customized to address the needs and the current situation of every Leader Anna works with. The main goal is to create a safe space for the leaders to explore new practices, learn to understand themselves and others better and get the support they have been lacking while being the go-to person for everyone else in their organizations. As her clients put it, "it's a real luxury to be selfish for this one hour per week and have space to focus on myself and my needs only.” The Leadership Junkies Podcast is brought to you by Cardivera.com. HIGHLIGHTSWhat is mind shifting? Design your day by setting intentions Entrepreneurship during the pandemic Helping people enter the zone of genius Zone of Genius vs Zone of ExcellenceStepping out of your comfort zone can be frightening Leaving corporate to make a bigger impact Helping male leaders to shift cultureQUOTESAnna: "The zone of genius are those areas of your life or activities that really feel natural, they come natural to you. If we go into the practicalities of finding the zone, finding it for yourself, think about question like where do you lose track of time, right or get into flow, so to say. Or, the question I like to ask, that is cliché, maybe, is what do I look at people doing, and think, how hard can that be?"Anna: "Yeah, I'm doing a good job, my managers are happy, my clients are happy, my colleagues are happy, but I don't feel like I'm contributing to making society a better place, and the world being a better place for us to live in."Anna: "Whatever experiences you have, they make you, you. You need to learn to be grateful for those experiences and believe, have trust in that you will always find a way to use that in your zone of genius. So it's all a valuable experience."Anna: "When you are in your zone of genius, you have this flow of living, and you manage to navigate the stormy seas of life. So whatever comes to you, you can get through that. And you still feel the flow of that."Anna: "If I can transform or take the leaders who are like, the top in the company and who are the root of the whole culture within the whole organization, if I can mind shift them, they bring this new perspective, new set of behaviors, new set of mindsets to their workplace. They transform the culture." Anna: "In the beginning of my mind shifting journey, I actually wanted to support female leaders in fact, because that is my background, I've been in those shoes, I know how challenging it is. But at the same time, I realized it's not about those women's mindset or something like that, it's about the environment that is not supportive. That environment is created by the men.”Anna: "Know yourself. Invest everything you can do: time, energy, and money into knowing yourself."Rob: "Mind shifting, it's the mindset you take into, the intentionality you take in everyday. The way we wake up and set intentions, and building out things or what you call designing your day in a way that's going to maximize your potential."Connect with Anna through the links belowLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anna-liebel/Podcast: https://linktr.ee/geniusleadershippodcastDon't forget to subscribe and leave a review.Connect with Rob:www.beacons.page/robnapoliwww.linkedin.com/in/robnapIG: @rise_up.robnapWe have teamed up with Phin, a social impact marketing firm, to give back for each episode. Hon är mindshifter, en 'global citizen' och har en bakgrund i konsultbranschen. Att arbeta långsiktigt och hållbart är en förutsättning för att lyckas. SMOA Survey: bit.ly/SMOAsurvey In what ways do our personal biases seep into our conversations with others? How does the structure of our language impact the reception of the information we are trying to share? In the era of digital medicine and health misinformation, how can we ensure we are communicating effectively with our patients? Join Adam & Jeff as we chat with CEO, Founder, Podcast Host of Genius Leadership: Overcoming Everything, Anna Liebel! Believes that each of us has a zone of genius - unique to us. As a Mindshifter, I help male leaders in tech get out of the firefighter mode, become the proactive Leaders they want to be, and enjoy the ride as they go. The research is showing how beneficial empathy and vulnerability are in workplaces. Which are the traits normally nurtured in young women. Yet, how are our men brought up? "Be strong", "man up", etc. I see many male leaders who are great humans willing to be better at leading others, yet they were never taught to open up, show their emotions, and own their weaknesses. Given that most of the power positions are occupied by men, no wonder employee engagement is so low and mental health issues cost companies billions each year. Journey: Raised in Ukraine, moved to Sweden, ended up in Iceland Studied computer science and was often the only female Helps male leaders in tech, more sustainable leaders, without burning themselves or their employees out. Lack of empathy in men Struggle to reach true equality So many men are unhappy, unhealthy. We are sentient beings - don't need to necessarily teach directly. Creating a safe place for my clients so they can explore these things People do as we do, not as we say (much like our kids) Practice what you preach “Not everyone is ready for that” For School Leaders: Be patient Get crystal clear on your “Why” - why do you WANT to transform? What is your vision for your future self? “Don't let your legacy be seen only once you're gone” - What is your Living Legacy? Where are you going too far in your work? - When is “good” good enough? It's different, but it's not wrong Leadership Challenge New country, young daughter, and new business. This is re-learning journey Need people to be able to call you out and bring you back “I'm worthy just because I am” Hopeful Society that is empowered and to explore who we are. 1 LINKS Genius Leadership Podcast GUEST CONTACT INFORMATION Anna Liebel on LinkedIn HOST CONTACT INFORMATION INSTAGRAM Dr. Jeff Prickett Adam DeWitt TWITTER Dr. Jeff Prickett Adam DeWitt FACEBOOK Principal Leadership Lab Dr. Jeff Prickett Adam DeWitt

On this week's podcast, Tony Liebel joins us from New York City where he is CEO of tech startup Buzr. +++ IT'S IN THE GENIUS +++ You may have heard the phrase, "It's in the genes!" Right? Normally when the phrase is used as a way of highlighting skills, it is generally used in a celebratory way to make sure you know this is something that cannot be duplicated because it is in the genes. I tend to see this a lot in the sports industry as players celebrate their skills and pridefully proclaim where those kinds of skills originate. But when last have you heard someone say, "It's in the genius?" I would dare say, very little or never. Well, this episode, even though it doesn't use the "it's in the genius" phrase, implies that leaders who tap into their zone of genius and find their true self are almost unstoppable. Take a listen as our guest - Ana Liebel - explains. ++++++++++ Who is ANA LIEBEL? In this episode I'm talking with Reptile Educator Dan Liebel. Dan has an A.S. in Environmental Science, B.S. in Biology and has been keeping reptiles and amphibians for 25 years and lecturing for 13 years. Dan is telling us how he ended up with 52 snakes in his house as a young boy and bartered his way with his parents to a small collection of reptiles before even graduating high school. Dan will share stories about what it takes to balance the massive responsibility of caring for so many vulnerable critters that require so much care. We recap the great night Dan spent teaching me how to handle an albino python that was worth more than my car at the time. So many great stories! Schreibt uns! Schickt uns eure Themenwünsche und euer Feedback. podcast@programmier.bar Folgt uns! Anna takes us on the road of her personal development journey as we discuss the difference between self-confidence and self-esteem, the importance of finding the purpose in life for increased satisfaction, the life-changing 7 Habits of Highly Effective People book, the thorough process in which she implemented each habit over a period of a few years, how she uses different tools to reflect and understand herself and others, and the importance of having an accountability partner to ask for help and feedback when needed. Key Takeaways (topics): (1) Life is a marathon, not a sprint. We need to gear ourselves up for a marathon in order to survive it, do well, and get to the finish line in good shape. (2) Self-confidence vs. self-esteem (3) Use periods to lessen comparing ourselves to others. Compare ourselves today to how we were yesterday instead. (4) Journaling - 4 daily questions to answer (5) Finding our inner compass, purpose, and joy in our lives (6) Take action at the scene of inspiration. Implement and integrate knowledge after we receive the information. (7) You can’t read the label when you’re sitting inside the box.

Brandon Leibel started Sand Cloud after a draining corporate call center job left him dreaming of sunny days at his local San Diego beach. Thanks to hard work and a break on Shark Tank in February 2017, Sand Cloud took off and has now done over $20 million in sales, while continuing to donate to organizations that protect marine life and ocean ecosystems as apart of the Sand Cloud mission to #SaveTheFishies. Leibel is the head of sales, licensing, marketing and public relations for Sand Cloud.
On this episode of SPx, hosts Joe & Ashley sit down with iQor CEO Hartmut Liebel to get to the bottom of iQor's unique business model. They discuss how St. Petersburg won out over cities like Chicago, Charlotte and many others for iQor's global headquarters, and what the company is looking for from a talent perspective. Liebel shares his passion projects, local business heroes, and "selfish" morning routine, along with his secret to beating the "lonely CEO" problem.
Hartmut Liebel is the CEO of iQor, a managed services and solutions provider for some of the world's most well-known technology brands. But I invited him on the show today to share his experiences in losing both as a professional tennis player and in business settings, and how these experiences have paid dividends in his role as CEO at iQor. Former ranked tennis pro Hartmut Liebel is the current president and CEO of iQor, an integrated services partner for some of the world’s leading technology brands. Liebel has an intriguing background. Born in Germany, he came from a working-class family—his father was a child during WWII. Around his later teen years, Liebel became interested in tennis and was ranked #20 in Europe by the time he was 21. He leveraged his aptitude for tennis into a move to Florida, playing against D1 schools on the college circuit, and quickly propelling himself to #2 in the US. Liebel (humbly) says he never made much of a name for himself in the tennis world. However, he credits his playing career and the professional experiences that followed as a currency and auctions trader, a tennis coach at Notre Dame, and a financial analyst, to name a few, to his success as president and CEO of a $1.5 billion company. "You get used to losing", is a comment he makes about both his athletic background and three years of constantly losing on deals as an auctions trader. In short, Liebel has learned a lot about managing risk—particularly insight of knowing how much loss to take before changing your strategy, how much loss is acceptable, and how much/when you need to change based on data. About iQor iQor is the only global managed services provider embedded in the flow between product, people, and services, from point of customer acquisition to sustainable recycling. With 45,000 employees in 18 countries, they partner with many of the world's best-known brands such as Apple and Microsoft. The company delivers aftermarket product and customer support solutions that span the consumer value chain, from customer care and receivables management to product diagnostics and repair services. Their award-winning technology, logistics, and analytics platforms enable us to measure, monitor, and analyze brand interactions, improve business processes, and find operational efficiencies that lead to superior outcomes for our partners across the customer and product life cycles.

The last 10 years have seen a 75% rise in legal costs, which compares to a 20% increase for other fields. It's estimated that there are one billion dollars worth of unrecognized legal needs in today's market. Even when legal needs are recognized, it's common for potential clients to see their problems as prohibitively expensive. As a solo practitioner or law firm, you might be wondering how to tap into that potential billable revenue. As it turns out, your answer could be branded networks. In this episode of Legal Toolkit, host Jared Correia and Solo Practice University founder Susan Cartier Liebel discuss the benefits of being part of branded networks like Legalzoom, Rocket Lawyer, Avvo, upcounsel, LawGo, Priori Legal, and lawtrades. By leveraging network marketing resources, participating practitioners get the benefit of a large scale advertising campaign without having to make an in kind investment. In addition, some of these organizations are capable of offering low cost malpractice insurance and/or invoicing platforms to help make practice life easier. Whether you decide to join a branded network or not, the prediction is that they are here to stay. Stay tuned to hear advice on selecting a network to be part of as well as Jared's true feelings about Peyton Manning. Susan Cartier Liebel is the founder and CEO of Solo Practice University®, the only online educational and professional networking community for lawyers and law students who want to create and grow their solo/small firm practices.
Founder and CEO Susan Cartier Liebel of Solo Practice University, heads the only online educational and professional networking community for lawyers and law students who want to create and grow their solo/small firm practices. She's a wife, mother, mentor, avid traveler and all around curious about life and the planet we inhabit. With ten years in business before law school, Susan noticed her school’s complete lack of support for the 50 percent who would likely become solo practitioners. Law is the one license that allows you to be self-employed, yet students are being taught how to be employees.
Starting a solo law practice can be invigorating, frightening, and exciting at first. But after the adrenaline and excitement of starting a solo practice fades, how do lawyers stay motivated? Unlike working in a large firm, an attorney's personal life and solo practice become interconnected, causing unique and often unexpected challenges. Many lawyers experience inner turmoil that requires a different resolution than a well thought-out business plan or financial planning. On this episode of New Solo, Adriana Linares interviews consultant Susan Cartier Liebel about how to stay motivated throughout the process of starting a solo law practice. Liebel encourages lawyers to make concrete life goals and envision where they might be 5, 10, and 15 years in the future, both professionally and personally. She recommends integrating personal interests and lifestyle with professional practice, resulting in a support system and a trusting client base. According to Liebel, there are three emotional inhibitors when opening a solo practice: the fear of a malpractice suit, the fear of being alone, and the lack of mentors. By focusing on the endgame, a lawyer can create an internal support system that supplements external support. Susan Cartier Liebel is a coaching consultant for solos and small firms who start their own law practice right out of law school. She has been an adjunct professor for Quinnipiac University School of Law, teaching law students how to start and grow their own law practices. She has since taken on consulting full-time. Her entity, Solo Practice University, now teaches hundreds of attorneys how to become solo practitioners. She is additionally a frequent speaker to law schools, bar associations, and professional organizations around the country. Special thanks to our sponsor, Solo Practice University, a community dedicated to helping lawyers build their very own solo law practice. Check it out at solopracticeuniversity.com.
