    According to the most recent quarterly survey conducted by the Iowa Business Council and reported on in a February 2022 article by the Iowa Capital Dispatch, Iowa faces its worst ever worker shortage. Executive Director Joe Murphy stated, “Companies are at a tipping point with respect to their workforce. They need people more than ever”. In this episode of the Industry Iowa podcast, Brenda Martin, CIRAS Workforce Program Manager, addresses not only the concern, but more importantly the work that CIRAS is doing, along with many of the state's economic developers, to identify and work towards solutions, both short-term and long term.
