Looking to grow your business, build a community, and eventually turn these leads into sales? You should consider hosting a summit. Marisa Corcoran, copy meteor, helps creatives, leaders and coaches with uncopyable copy for their businesses -and she's our special guest on the podcast today. In this session, she'll walk you through the basics of a summit, how to set up a successful summit for your own business, and the top tools you need to run a successful summit that brings hundreds of people together. •How Marisa helps creatives and coaches with uncopyable copy for their businesses. •Why email list growth is so important. •The definition of a summit. •The benefits of a summit for businesses. •A peek into the framework they use for setting up summits. •The 5 most effective tools for running successful summits. •Are you right for a summit? •Can introverts hold a summit and still stay true to their introverted selves?Asummit is foolproof in the sense, like it's never not going to grow your audience. But there's a very intentional way to do that with like integrity. In order to sustain the enrollments that you need, you're ready to kind of turbocharge that. The way that we teach Summit, you don't need to have a big team, but you 100% need to have a team that's going to help you.if you want to be a great storyteller in your business, you have to read great stories. Less time on like business growth and more time on like cultivating your own stuff. And you can do that through reading novels.
Memberships and communities are great ways to strengthen the bond between you and your audience. On today's podcast, Tara Prendergast shares how she used the power of community and membership in her business to support creatives. Tara gives us a brief introduction about herself and her business. The reason why she shifted her business online. Tara's shares details about her TED Talk. Reasons why Tara chose a membership model and how she serves her clients and students through her membership. Experiencing burnout as an entrepreneur and creative. How to figure out the best offer that fits you. Things she looks forward to in the next year with her business. Links: Tara Prendergast's TEDx Talk The Biscuit Factory Website Bite the Biscuit Community Facebook Growing your audience is important. Of course, it's the visibility piece. But it can't just stop there. And I think people are getting stuck there… That's just the top of the pile of the activity that you need to succeed in having a profitable business. But if you're not converting the audience into sales, you have a hobby. You have 20,000 followers or 50,000 followers, but you might not be making any money at all. It looks fantastic but the reality is, a robust business is not built just on that metric. So just be careful with that. When you get creative people together, it allows them to feel acknowledged and understood in a way that other groups of people do not actually understand. Our membership facilitates rather than just teachers. That part is very, very beautiful and organic in its essence. Creative people have a love affair with their work, whether it be good or bad, they stick with it, because they're in love with that. The money thing comes after. So they're not in it for the money. They're in it to create. And they're in it to have that love affair.
Have you ever thought about selling courses, running masterminds, and building a membership? In this episode, I've invited Rebecca Rice, to talk about the online business she established five years ago which has now grown close to earning a million dollars. The beauty of evergreen courses. How her team has helped run her business more smoothly. She shares the hurdles that kept her from reaching her goals. Top things that helped her launch and grow her business. Best tactics and advice for growing your business online. Rebecca shares her favorite social media platform. The story of growing her online business and team. Links: Rebecca Rice Website Rebecca Rice Photography Quotes: I have to say my favorite is evergreen webinars because I'm a numbers nerd. I look into the Facebook ad analytics and stuff. But I just love the fact that I can be on vacation with my family and make 1000's of dollars not doing anything because the whole thing is running on autopilot. I would say that my biggest hurdle was like the control freak in me wanting to hang on to things and learning to let go. So now I pass things off really quick. If I know that somebody else can do it, 80% as good as me, I'm gonna pass it off because I know where I need to stay with my zone of genius. Start list building early... List building is our driver. All of the launches that we do, we've got our email funnels going, and that's where the majority of our revenue comes from. We're constantly list building through freebies that we're talking about on our podcast and our YouTube. We've got all the funnels in place so that anytime somebody comes into a freebie, they're being pitched something and it just the machine runs.
