In Part II of his conversation with Danny Torres, Adam Wainwright spoke passionately about his unwavering faith, on his close relationship with Yadier Molina and how in their 14 years playing with the St. Louis Cardinals watching how their brotherhood evolved into a true friendship. Waino’s thoughts on receiving “The Call” that he won the Roberto Clemente Award and the phenomenal work of Big League Impact, his foundation that was founded in 2013. As fans slowly return to the ballparks for the 2021 season, it was 21 years ago, Adam Wainwright was drafted by the Atlanta Braves, his hometown team. Along with an extraordinary career that includes a World Series Championship title in 2006, this all-star pitcher will be forever linked to the St. Louis Cardinals. But of all the baseball highlights including a memorable 2006 NLCS Game 7 against the N.Y. Mets, “Waino” smiles with immense pride on winning the Roberto Clemente Award in 2020. Along with receiving that prestigious honor, he is proud of the tireless work of his foundation - Big League Impact and the millions raised for the less-fortunate. A devout Christian, Wainwright shares heartfelt stories about learning the game of baseball from his older brother, his battery-mate Yadier Molina and in the spirit of Roberto Clemente he’s adamant in his convictions on wanting everyone to always give back to the needy within their respective communities.

One of the reasons the Chiefs drafted Patrick Mahomes and traded away Alex Smith was because Mahomes had the ability to make big plays from anywhere on the field and the knock against Smith was that he was just a game manager. That's exactly the type of quarterback that was needed Monday. Smith helped out his former team by leading Washington to a 23-17 win over the Steelers giving Pittsburgh their first loss and moving the Chiefs into a tie for the best overall record in the NFL at 11-1. Smith was steady, 31 of 46 for 296 yards with one touchdown and no turnovers against a stingy Steelers defense. Since 2013, Adam Wainwright's Big League Impact organization has raised over $5.8 million for charitable causes. Wainwright won the 2020 Roberto Clemente Award after being nominated for the award five times and now joins five other Cardinals -- Lou Brock (1975), Ozzie Smith (1995), Albert Pujols (2008), Carlos Beltran (2013) and Yadier Molina (2018) -- who have won the award.

Marlow started "Help One Now" after meeting a starving young orphan at an abandoned gas station in Zimbabwe. At that moment, he was compelled to dedicate his life to seeking justice by empowering high-capacity local leaders to care for orphans and vulnerable children, and to help them see their communities transform.
