In today's episode of The Wisedome podcast, Nikki chats with Cara. She is a trained Early Childhood Teacher and Early Years Caregiver, continuing education consultant, and parent coach. Cara loves working with proactive, conscious parents with a deep desire to raise a whole child: body, mind, and spirit looking to personalize their parenting toolkit with science-backed strategies, systems, and scripts to set their kid up for success in school and life. She started her wisdom business by creating digital, on-demand courses and doing live, 6 module Master Group Coaching Program, then went on to beta test everything with small groups of new parents. Her advice for those who want to start their own wisdom business: “Own your wisdom as you begin to create for others. It's so easy to fall into the 'what can I create that others will like, want, pay for...etc." mental trap. DON'T DO IT. When you create from your zone of genius wisdom, you are creating for a subset niche of customers and that's ok! Those are the people in the world waiting for what you have to offer and will benefit from it most!” The offer: Sign to speak course for 6 to 12 months old, it is 24 signs taught over 24 days so that you can spiral up towards mastery and you become a master really fast and you can communicate with your children before they can talk to you because they can sign so much longer before they can talk. Coaching program for 1-5 years old, runs every quarter. We start in April or start again after that in July. It's a deep dive where you can talk to Cara casually. And you can get lots of meat if you want to add on to the one-on-one packages. The course runs through all the layers that you need. And you are left with a personalized parenting toolkit because there is no manual, who your child is is unique. Who you are, is unique. In today's episode of The Wisedome podcast, Nikki chats with Cara. She is a trained Early Childhood Teacher and Early Years Caregiver, continuing education consultant, and parent coach.Cara loves working with proactive, conscious parents with a deep desire to raise a whole child: body, mind, and spirit looking to personalize their parenting toolkit with science-backed strategies, systems, and scripts to set their kid up for success in school and life. She started her wisdom business by creating digital, on-demand courses and doing live, 6 module Master Group Coaching Program, then went on to beta test everything with small groups of new parents. Her advice for those who want to start their own wisdom business:“Own your wisdom as you begin to create for others. It's so easy to fall into the 'what can I create that others will like, want, pay for...etc." mental trap. DON'T DO IT. When you create from your zone of genius wisdom, you are creating for a subset niche of customers and that's ok! Those are the people in the world waiting for what you have to offer and will benefit from it most!”The offer:Sign to speak course for 6 to 12 months old, it is 24 signs taught over 24 days so that you can spiral up towards mastery and you become a master really fast and you can communicate with your children before they can talk to you because they can sign so much longer before they can talk.Coaching program for 1-5 years old, runs every quarter. We start in April or start again after that in July. It's a deep dive where you can talk to Cara casually. And you can get lots of meat if you want to add on to the one-on-one packages. In today's episode Cara Tyrrell, founder of core4parenting, who empowers proactive parents to raise happy, healthy, kindergarten-ready children from birth - is coming back to the show! Cara has Bachelor degrees in ASL and Linguistics and a Masters degree in Education. She's a trained Early Childhood Teacher, Early Years Caregiver, continuing education consultant, and parent coach. In her preschool and Kindergarten classrooms, she identified a pattern of underdeveloped skill sets in her students leading to a professional pivot as an online Early Childhood Parent Educator. Cara founded Core4Parenting, an online community and course platform for parents and caregivers that follows the developmental path of the young child while educating, empowering, and engaging parents and caregivers to be their child's brain architect between birth and 5 years old, setting them up for success in school and life. Cara accepted to come to the show today to talk to us baby sign language. Did you know that you could start communicating and understanding your little one's needs before they can even articulate a word? I had this experience with my nieces and this was fabulous to be able to understand then when they were thirsty, or wanted to go to bed - without pulling our hair trying to understand what they wanted. Unfortunately, these women waste years trying to figure out how codependency works or rehashing their past in an office week after week trying to pick apart their childhoods. But, Sarah's clients aren't “most people.” They know overachievers aren't just looking to talk about their problem, they are looking for an action plan to SOLVE their problems!Check out this FREE Presentation where Sarah reveals how she does it! One of the biggest challenges that many of the parents that I speak with face is being constantly tired or exhausted due to restless nights and time needed to settle their little one. After looking after babies for many years I'm familiar with a lot of the traditional sleep programs and the practices they encourage such as crying it out. I don't know about you, but I've always found this practice heartbreaking.I just think it's so sad to leave a baby to cry!I was thrilled to recently meet Cara Tyrrell since we share a childcare educator background with similar experiences. Cara founded her business Core4Parenting an online community and course platform for parents and caregivers that follows the developmental path of the young child, while educating, empowering and engaging parents and caregivers to be their child's brain architect between birth and 5 years old, setting them up for success in school and life.In this episode Cara talks about her sleep soothing system which is all about teaching babies their first life skill that they can do by themselves. I found what she has to say fascinating and wow, this is such a welcome change to the traditional sleep training programs! So go ahead, my dear mum. Cara accepted to come to the show today to talk to us about self-soothing. I am not a fan of sleep training, because I feel we are missing so many important points about children's development by doing that, so I found it very interesting to hear about this notion of sleep-soothing. Tess Connolly talks to Cara Tyrrell, M.ed.Parent Educator and Owner of Core 4 Parenting about Social and Emotional Skills and Launching an Older Teen What she noticed in the early childhood classroom as a teacher and the foundational skills that were missing. What social emotional skills are, and her idea of the emotional skills coming before the social skills. Keeping in mind the “who” before the “what” with social and emotional learning Launching an older teen and the importance of having them learn and practice adult skills What is a Gap Year and how to help your older teen do it responsibly and compassionately. Importance of having an older teen practice real world skills like money management and personal growth development How to have your older teen “practice” the adult skills while still under the family roof Fostering core values of mutual trust, respect and open communication.
