We're back with the next installment of our summer series, and this time we're returning to one of our respective favorite settings. Dom is joined by Luk of Luk Reviews to break down the first live action Transformers installment since 2018's Bumblebee, "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts." When an injury ended his dreams of playing soccer on a professional level, Cristo Fernández decided to tackle his other dream: filmmaking and acting. Little did he know that the perfect opportunity would come along in which he could combine all of his talents in a single role, Ted Lasso fan favorite Dani Rojas. “I never imagined when I dreamed of being a soccer player that it would come back to me in this way, but I was always open thanks to my friends and family who pushed me to study and find something else. I learned discipline and hard work from the sport, being an athlete, and using it in my new dreams as an actor and filmmaker. As a child in Guadalajara, Mexico, Cristo Fernandez dreamed of playing professional soccer. He was on his way until a knee injury ended his career when he played for the University of Guadalajara Tecos' second division team. Fernandez turned his attention toward acting, working several jobs for three years until he could afford to move to London to pursue a master's degree. Now the former professional soccer player has made his name on the screen as soccer player Danny Rojas on the hit series Ted Lasso. Fernandez discussed his journey from Mexico to London and the sacrifices he made along the way before Ted Lasso. He also discussed his many projects as an actor, producer and director.
