Successo, accuse, declino e proclamazione d'innocenza di Enzo Tortora, ormai minato nel fisico e nell'animo, dopo essere stato ingiustamente affiliato alla camorra, per colpa di pentiti del clan Cutolo.Prima della serie di successo di Bellocchio, Maurizio Zaccaro porta al cinema la vicenda Tortora, con un film che però non convince, nonostante il ragguardevole cast. Michele Placido è bravo nei panni del famoso presentatore, ma non riesce a reggere tutto sulle proprie spalle e attori del calibro di Giuliano Gemma, Mariangela Melato ed i giovani Giovanna Mezzogiorno e Stefano Accorsi sono veramente sprecati. Anche la vicenda giudiziaria e il tormento carcerario di un uomo che si è sempre e giustamente proclamato innocente sono solamente abbozzate e mai approfondite come la storia avrebbe meritato, così come non si affonda pesantemente la critica sulla negligenza e l'omertà della giustizia italiana, che mai voleva ammettere uno sbaglio intollerabile.Peccato perché, nonostante il film sia godibile, rimane comunque la sensazione di un'occasione sprecata e una pellicola che è troppo di maniera e fredda, che non coinvolge.

But for generations of Brooklyn families, the real heart of the neighborhood beats inside a legendary dining room: Gargiulo's Restaurant. Founded in 1907, this historic institution is the oldest business still operating in Coney Island. In my recent chat with Matthew Cutolo, pastry chef and part-owner of Gargiulo's Restaurant, he shared how his family's story intertwines with this iconic Brooklyn landmark.
