Trillion Energy Vice President and Deputy General Manager Tolga Terzi joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the importance of “closeology” and how proximity to existing oil production supports the company's M47 oil block development project in southeastern Türkiye. Terzi explained that in the oil and gas industry, being located near producing fields can significantly reduce exploration risk by providing valuable information about geology, reservoir characteristics, infrastructure, and development requirements before drilling begins. The M47 block is situated in one of Türkiye's most active oil-producing regions, approximately 57 kilometres from the Syrian border and 90 to 100 kilometres from the Iraqi border. The acreage lies near several producing fields operated by Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), including the Sehit Ayabuke Yalcin and Sehit Esma Cevik fields. According to Terzi, TPAO has made multiple discoveries in the area in recent years and has steadily expanded drilling activity closer to Trillion's acreage. In 2025, Trillion and its partners drilled two wells and encountered oil within the same carbonate Cretaceous reservoirs that host production in nearby fields. “We have drilled this. We have two wells in 2025 with our partners, and we encountered the same quality of oil in the same carbonate Cretaceous reservoirs,” Terzi said. He also noted that existing infrastructure, including a recently completed regional pipeline and access to major oilfield service providers, could support future development activities and potentially reduce project execution risks. The present study demonstrates that green tea extract and ginger supplementation, individually and in combination, enhanced endurance performance, metabolic efficiency, and thermal perception in recreationally active males under normothermic and cold conditions. Green tea alone increased time to exhaustion and reduced respiratory exchange ratio in normothermic conditions, indicating improved fat oxidation and endurance capacity. In cold conditions, the combination of green tea and ginger enhanced time to exhaustion, lowered the respiratory exchange ratio, improved thermal sensation, and reduced muscle soreness. These effects are most pronounced in cold environments, where the combined supplementation mitigated the heightened physiological demands of cold exposure while amplifying metabolic benefits. To our knowledge, this is the first randomized, double-blind crossover trial to systematically evaluate the supportive combined effects of green tea and ginger across different environmental conditions.A 2025 study in the journal Nutrients investigated the effects of green tea extract and ginger on endurance performance in different temperatures. In a randomized, double-blind crossover trial, sixteen recreationally active males were tested under eight different conditions. The conditions included taking a placebo, 500 mg of green tea extract, 1000 mg of ginger, or a combination of both, each in normal (normothermic) and cold environments (). In normal temperatures, both green tea alone and the combined supplement significantly increased the time-to-exhaustion (endurance) and reduced the respiratory exchange ratio (RER), indicating greater fat oxidation, compared to the placebo. In cold conditions, the combination of green tea and ginger was most effective, significantly enhancing endurance, improving thermal sensation (feeling warmer), and reducing RER compared to both placebo and ginger alone. All active supplements (green tea, ginger, and combined) also significantly decreased muscle soreness 24 hours after exercise in the cold compared to the placebo. Se ne riparlerà tra una settimana, forse due. Il tredicesimo decreto legislativo di attuazione della delega fiscale, con la riproposizione degli sgravi sulle tredicesime per i lavoratori a basso reddito, atteso ieri al Consiglio dei ministri, è slittato. Servono approfondimenti tecnici su alcune misure e, soprattutto, vanno trovate le coperture per finanziare gli sgravi, che al momento non sono state ancora individuate con precisione. Così il titolare del ministero dell'Economia, Giancarlo Giorgetti (nella foto), e il suo vice Maurizio Leo, che ha la delega sul Fisco, hanno deciso di accantonare per il momento il progetto.Il piatto forte del pacchetto è la detassazione delle tredicesime, che il governo Meloni aveva immaginato di rafforzare già nel 2023, ma che poi era stato costretto ad accantonare per mancanza di risorse. Nel 2023 le tredicesime hanno così goduto di uno sconto di 2-3 punti percentuali per effetto del taglio dei contributi deciso nel 2022, mentre l aumento degli sgravi scattato da luglio 23 (6 o 7 punti a seconda del reddito) era stato sterilizzato. Ora il governo ci riprova, ma resta il problema dei costi. Le proposte avanzate prevedevano prima un contributo fino a 80 euro per i lavoratori dipendenti con redditi fino a 15 mila euro. Costo dell'ntervento stimato tra i 400 e i 600 milioni di euro. La seconda ipotesi presentata al preconsiglio di ieri prevedeva un bonus di Natale fino a 100 euro da corrispondere sempre con la tredicesima mensilità ai lavoratori dipendenti con redditi fino a 28mila euro con coniuge e almeno un figlio a carico, anche avuto fuori dal matrimonio riconosciuto, affidato o adottato. In questo caso il costo dell intervento di aiuto alle famiglie era stimato in circa 100 milioni. Ma, in tutte e due le versioni, la formula scelta per coprire i costi non avrebbe convinto i tecnici di Palazzo Chigi e della Ragioneria. Le platee interessante sarebbero comunque molto limitate. I punti caldi interessano i collegamenti transfrontalieri tra Italia e Francia e tra Italia e Svizzera, dove sono previsti cantieri e chiusure forzate, tra tunnel stradali e linee ferroviarie, che potrebbero causare gravi danni all export italiano diretto in Europa, ma anche alle forniture di materie prime e semilavorati destinati alle industrie italiane di trasformazione. La fragilità del sistema dei valichi alpini, pur avendo una dimensione europea, crea il maggiore impatto sull economia italiana, proprio per la loro funzione di barriere naturali. Cybersecurity, nel 2023 più di 1.400 attacchi (+29%)Nel 2023 sono stati 1.411 gli attacchi cyber trattati dall'Agenzia per la cybersicurezza nazionale, il 29% in più rispetto all'anno precedente. È quanto è emerso dalla relazione annuale dell'ACN Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale presentata al Parlamento questa mattina dall'Autorità delegata per la sicurezza della Repubblica, Alfredo Mantovano, e dal direttore dell'Agenzia, Bruno Frattasi. Risultano quasi triplicati i soggetti colpiti: da 1.150 a 3.302. In forte aumento anche gli incidenti (da 126 a 303) e le segnalazioni (da 81 a 349). Calano (-8%) invece, le comunicazioni ricevute dall'Agenzia (da 5.974 a 5.444). Nel corso dello scorso anno il Csirt Italia dell'Agenzia (il team di risposta in caso di incidenti informatici) ha trattato quindi in media circa 117 attacchi al mese, con un picco di 169 a ottobre. Di questi, 303 sono stati classificati come incidenti (hanno avuto cioè un impatto confermato dalla vittima), per una media di circa 25 al mese. In 13 casi c'è stato l'intervento in loco degli esperti di Acn per supportare i soggetti colpiti, mentre in 31 casi hanno fornito supporto da remoto.In questo contesto, secondo l'Osservatorio Cybersecurity & Data Protection della School of Management del Politecnico di Milano, continua a crescere l'interesse delle aziende italiane per la cybersecurity, che si conferma la principale priorità di investimento nel digitale tra le imprese, sia grandi che PMI. L'81% delle grandi imprese ha definito un piano di sviluppo strutturato in materia, con una strategia di lungo periodo. A testimonianza dell'interesse, nel 2023 il mercato italiano della cybersecurity ha raggiunto un record: 2,15 miliardi di euro, +16% rispetto al 2022. Il rapporto tra spesa in cybersecurity e PIL in Italia si attesta allo 0,12%, in crescita rispetto al 2022 (era pari allo 0,10%). Nonostante l'aumento, questo risultato colloca ancora il nostro Paese all'ultimo posto nel G7, a grande distanza dai primi in classifica, Stati Uniti (0,34%) e Regno Unito (0,29%), e da Paesi come Francia o Germania allo 0,19%. Il 62% delle grandi organizzazioni ha aumentato la spesa in cybersecurity: incremento trainato dall'inserimento di nuovi strumenti (68%), dalla maggiore attenzione dedicata dai board aziendali (62%) e dalla necessità di azioni di adeguamento normativo (43%). Le aziende più piccole faticano a tramutare questo interesse in investimenti concreti, a causa delle risorse limitate e dell'assenza di un'offerta di mercato che vada incontro alle loro specifiche esigenze. Today, the mitigation of climate change is one of the most important issues worldwide. However, governments also need to prioritise geopolitical resilience and economic growth when designing their industrial policies.  In this episode of the Sound of Economics, Giuseppe Porcaro is joined by Philippe Aghion, Simone Tagliapietra and Reinhilde Veugelers to discuss what an innovative, European-level industrial policy would look like and how it could address all those competing objectives.  They propose that the EU should engage in ‘co-opetition' with the United States and China, which includes co-operation and maintaining economic ties to facilitate global decarbonisation most efficiently.
