We saw row crops quiet on Monday with some strength in corn and soybeans while the wheat trade was down sharply for the ninth consecutive session. Meantime, the cattle market got off to a great start for the week. We discuss Monday's market action and get perspective from John Heinberg with Total Farm Marketing. More online by visiting their website at https://www.totalfarmmarketing.com. The forecast is calling for heat to move into parts of the Corn Belt this week and weekend. The big question, how long does it last? We get the latest details on the weather for the week ahead in the U.S. and talk about the latest in other key growing areas like South America and the Black Sea. Eric Snodgrass with Nutrien joins us to discuss. More at https://www.ag-wx.com. ***Disclaimer: Today's conversation recorded ahead of the closing bell and is intended to be a broad overview of Monday market action.***

Disclaimer: Today's episode is heavy on the College Football National Championship and NFL Playoffs. Viewers and listeners advise.   Golic kicks off today by mentioning being in Smetty's neck of the woods to call the Bills vs Dolphins game over the weekend. Jess was sweet enough to make the trip and bring cookies, along with a gift, so Mike was kind enough to treat her and her boyfriend to a nice breakfast. While he's shocked to find out he was a test dummy for her new recipe, Jess confronts him about a rumor involving a conversation with Stugotz about her baking skills.   They reconcile and move on to discuss Michael Penix Jr's performance, Michigan's strong defense and the Huskies not being able to keep themselves in the game. Golic asks Jess if the Wolverine's scandals affect the quality of the win, prompting a discussion on cheating in football. They take a side quest to discuss how the Pac-12 and Big Ten teams will react to each other's dynamics, before Mike brings up a shocking promise that Jim Harbaugh made to his team. The duo wonders about Harbaugh and McCarthy leaving for the NFL before giving their take on the final regular season of NFL play. Mike brings up the crazy Bills vs Dolphins game and gives his flowers to the Bills Mafia. They look ahead to the playoffs and discuss intriguing matchups, AFC and NFC picks and the drama surrounding the victory formation. Welcome to my new series, Strong Boss Bitches with Monica Morton, a private detective, crime expert for a true crime TV series, and a life coach. Over the next few weeks, we're going to be talking about how to be your best and baddest strong boss bitch self. Disclaimer: Today's conversation is not meant to disparage or demean anyone named Karen. That name just so happens to be associated with horrid things being done by white women. We don't necessarily want to propel the “Karen” trend, but the problem is real, and we do need to discuss this topic. Who are these people? You know the ones. Practicing intentional, blatant, and aggressive racism. Out in the open. In the past few years, they've come to be known as “Karens,” white women who feel entitled to their perception of white superiority. Let's be clear that white men exhibit this behavior, too, though there isn't a trending name to give them. Openly racist behavior is at an all-time high. White people believe that this country is theirs, and that everyone else wants to take it away from them. Their rights, their religion, their ability to make money, their freedom. They feel their very existence is being threatened. In today's episode, Monica and I are discussing why white people think it's okay to be disrespectful to people of color, how someone in a position of power can embolden people to be more openly racist, and why white people need to be held accountable for bigoted actions. Fellow white people: The takeaway here is that we have to be actively anti-racist. Speak up. Nothing changes if we don't stand up for justice and call out racism when we see it. And if you're practicing racism, you too can make a shift. We have to do better. Let's change the narrative.   What's in this episode: The anger and fear that white people feel about “others” The hidden “for a black person” connotation spoken by many white people The importance of accountability and honest conversations How the media and people in positions of power promote fear-mongering Real stories about how white people disrespect people of colors Why we need to believe other people's experiences that are not our own How easy it really is to just be kind   For full show notes, resources, and links, head to: https://www.meredythwillits.com/podcast   Are you ready to go deeper? Now that that's out of the way let's get to it.I remember hearing a phrase not long ago, though I can't recall where—it was said. 'People don't want purpose; they want prizes.' As I pondered that thought, I couldn't help but look over my life and think of the motivation behind many of my so-called goals. There was no surprise there; it was more about me reaping benefits rather than pursuing the reason I was destined.

In today's episode, Dawn is interviewed by Sarah Snyder, and Dawn shares her journey coming to her work as a trauma specialist. For most of her life Dawn felt like she was just too much, and she was so scared of hurting other people with her story. She felt too broken to get help, and too damaged to ever be healed herself. She had no intention of becoming a trauma specialist, but this work healed her and she realized she couldn't be the only one. At the core of her work is her why, to help other people become their superhero in their own rescue so that they can inspire people to do the same. Dawn shares how she works with client and throughout the episode Dawn and Sarah reflect on their work together, Sarah's journey to trusting Dawn, and why sending emails was a huge part of Sarah's healing. From overcoming her own trauma and trusting her gut, Dawn has stepped into her own healing and vulnerability to help her clients in a meaningful way. It's given her clients the permission they've needed to step into their healing and vulnerability too. As Dawn shares, it's never too late to work through your trauma. You're worth fighting for. From Gomeroi, Ngurrabul and Kooma, to Quintuplet and Medical Doctor - my guest on today's special bonus episode of Always was, always will be our stories, Dr. Erika Chapman-Burgess, has some incredible and unique labels attached to her name. When my sister Keely and I started Tiddas 4 Tiddas in 2018, we had the hopes of putting incredible female role models in the view of the next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women - and when we imagined what those role models were like, women like Erika were exactly what fit. In today's chat you'll hear her speak about her journey into medicine, advice for the next generation looking at the same career, what it's like growing up in the only family with Aboriginal Quintuplets in the country and very importantly, some tips and things to think about regarding COVID19! Ambitious, hard working and incredibly proud of who she is and where she's come from, although I'll never work in medicine, I feel myself looking up to Erika in so many ways. To think only a couple of decades ago, the concept of a blackfulla doctor might've seemed out of reach is scary - but it also emphasises the importance of what mob like Erika are doing, and as we know, having our health managed in our hands, is a powerful key to a brighter and prosperous future. Stay safe out there you mob, look after each other and now, enjoy the show. . . . Thank you so much to Dr. Chapman Burgess for sitting down and sharing your wisdom today!
