It is just a regular hour 2 on the Tobin and Leroy show as Hour Tua has been suspended indefinitely, which means despite Tobin saying he was done with the EuroBasket updates because all the Heat guys have been eliminated… he must still give more. Leroy steps away for a bit to do a Cleveland hit, so Tobin and Brittney get into some Canes football and what they think about their matchup versus USF. Then it is time to dip into our Mixed Bag we hear from Stephen A Smith, Steve Sarkisian, and Jerry Jones.
It's another wild ride on the Tobin and Leroy Show, and the Dolphins are still living rent-free in Leroy's head—so much so that he had to explain to his doctor why his heart rate's been through the roof since Sunday. We kick things off with a mix of leftover Dolphins frustration, a look ahead to the Canes' highly anticipated matchup with USF, and Tobin trying (and failing) to get Brittney hyped for Canelo vs Crawford using bad F1 analogies. Just when Tobin thinks he's dodged Dolphins talk for a segment to talk about boxing, Leroy hijacks it with some Tua takes. In Hour 2, “Hour Tua” is officially suspended (for now), but that doesn't stop Tobin from relapsing into EuroBasket updates—despite saying he was done. While Leroy steps out for a Cleveland hit, Tobin and Brittney dive into more Canes talk, and then it's time for the always unpredictable “Mixed Bag,” featuring soundbites from Stephen A. Smith, Steve Sarkisian, and Jerry Jones. Leroy returns in Hour 3 just in time to be confused by Mike McDaniel again, and we get into a hilarious story about Dolphins fans launching a GoFundMe for a “Fire Grier and McDaniel” banner to fly over Hard Rock Stadium. We don't knock the hustle. Then it's time for our favorite Wednesday tradition—Rats Off A Ship—with rumors flying about Jon Gruden to Miami and Andrew Wiggins to the Lakers. Finally, in Hour 4, the Dolphins pain continues with injury news about Austin Jackson, and former Dolphins RB Ricky Williams joins the show to preach patience to the fanbase. Tobin immediately agrees with him—much to Leroy's frustration, since he's been saying the same thing for weeks. Naturally, Tobin has to keep the heart rate rising by playing a McDaniel clip on Darren Waller, leaving Leroy completely speechless.

Two-time Super Bowl champion/'Green Light' podcast host Chris Long tells Rich why he has great expectations but big concerns for the Baltimore Ravens, why the Kansas City Chiefs won't make a return trip to the Super Bowl, the Chargers' and Steelers' chances to contend for AFC supremacy this season, Micah Parsons' impact on the Green Bay Packers title hopes, if the Detroit Lions can adjust to losing both coordinators in the offseason, why the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could win it all this year, and his takeaways from the JJ McCarthy and the Minnesota Vikings' Monday Night Football win over the Bears in Ben Johnson's Chicago debut. Jerry wonders how the volleyball girls on TV right now can afford to get to Bangkok. Jerry Jones was on Good Morning America talking about being a great salesman. Al Dukes is not happy with commercials on Red Zone this season. The Yankees lost in Houston and the home plate umpire was brutal. Helsley talked about his recent performances not being so great.
The Mets took 2-of-3 in Detroit but left with a bad taste in their mouth with another bad bullpen performance by Helsley. This is what happens when starting pitching can't go five innings. They may ask Kodai Senga to go to the minors for a few starts but he would have to approve that. We also talked more about what type of Long Island crowd we're going to get at the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. A guy calls in who has a business where he collects golf balls at Bethpage at night. Jerry returns for an update, but first he wonders how the volleyball girls on TV right now can afford to get to Bangkok. Jerry Jones was on Good Morning America talking about being a great salesman. Al Dukes is not happy with commercials on Red Zone this season. The Yankees lost in Houston and the home plate umpire was brutal. Helsley talked about his recent performances not being so great. In the final segment of the hour, Gio tells the tragic story of someone local who passed away.
Hour 1 We get NFL football tonight as the Cowboys play the Eagles. The Giants open with Washington and then play the Cowboys and Gio said they have to win one of those games as they can't start the season 0-2 with two losses in the division. The NFC East could be a top division if the Giants figure out how to get some wins. We wondered how soon Brian Daboll would try to get Jaxson Dart into games. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with a preview of Cowboys/Eagles. Jerry is doing the game on radio with Brian Baldinger, who's in the NFL's ‘mangled hand' club. The Yankees lost in Houston as Devin Williams walked in a run and Doval balked in a run and then threw a wild pitch that brought in a run. Helsley had another rough outing in relief as the Mets lost to the Tigers. Pablo Torre talked about uncovering the Kawhi Leonard situation with the Clippers and circumventing the salary cap. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the Ryder Cup which starts later this month at Bethpage Black. Hour 2 The Mets took 2-of-3 in Detroit but left with a bad taste in their mouth with another bad bullpen performance by Helsley. In the final segment of the hour, Gio tells the tragic story of someone local who passed away. Hour 3 Al Dukes did a poll asking if you can watch an NFL game without betting on it, having a drink of alcohol during it or scrolling on your phone. We also talked more about the Red Zone channel having commercials and how much playing time is in an actual NFL game. Dan in Carteret calls about Boomer breaking Imus' record this coming March and Jazz Chisholm predicting a Yankees World Series win. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the called third strike on Jazz that ended the game. He was not happy with the call. The home plate ump had a rough night. The Mets had a rough day in Detroit, especially Helsley in relief. Russell Wilson said mindset is everything for the Giants. Boomer said the Commanders should run right at Abdul Carter to see if he can run-defend. Roger Goodell was on the Today Show and said it's a ‘maybe' as far as Taylor Swift playing at the Super Bowl. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer is getting a lot of requests for interviews now that football season is upon us. Hour 4 Is Andrew Thomas going to play for the Giants this Sunday against the Commanders? We also talked about the season ending injury to Alijah Vera-Tucker of the Jets. Both teams tried to build up their offensive lines. Boomer tells a story about teaching kids in Italy how to play football back in the late 80's. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first Boomer told us how difficult it was to shower in Italy in 1987. On PTI, Tony Kornheiser compared Nolan McLean to Tom Seaver, just like Boomer did. The Yankees lost in Houston as Devin Williams walked in a run. The home plate ump had a rough night and Williams paid the price. There are already tailgaters in Philadelphia for tonight's opening NFL game. Jerry is doing the game tonight on the radio. The Moment of The Day: Mark Chernoff's long lost daughter. In the final segment of the show, we gave our pick for tonight's Cowboys/Eagles game.
