A brand new week is underway, which means the boys from the Real Life Podcast are back with a brand new episode to help you ease back into work life after another round of practice retirement. On today's show, the guys looked at Devan Dubnyk's comments from the DFO Rundown, the Oilers goaltending situation, and a whole lot more.Kicking off today's podcast, the guys got started with another acknowledgment of Chalmers being back in the studio after another mini hiatus. With that out of the way, the guys got the podcast started with a look at Devan Dubnyk's comments on Nail Yakupov from the DFO Rundown and how the goaltender suggested in no uncertain terms that the former first overall pick was not his favourite teammate. Sticking with the Oilers, the guys then spent the next few minutes gushing about Zach Hyman's game and how he is the exact type of player that this city loves based on his effort and tenacity. The guys then tackled the goaltending situation and how we would split the starts over the next little bit as it's clear that Stuart Skinner is the better option in net right now. From there, the podcast fell off the rails a little bit as the guys discussed their favourite podcasts and TV shows that ranged from Chalmers' crush on Will Arnett to Tyler's love of Arrested Development. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Monday episode of Real Life with a random collection of topics, including the World Cup, beer prices in Qatar, and a whole lot more. Hosted on Acast. After nine games we are nowhere near where we should be seeing some teams in the standings. We discuss which head coach will be the first to get the axe; Eakins, Larson, Boudreau, D.J. Smith or Gallant? We delve into a discussion of Vancouver potential moves. Brandon Carlo has returned from injury which leads into a convo around our Twitter Poll results as to which Bruins defenseman will bring back the highest return. Toews and Kane are both in the last year of their contracts with the 'Hawks, so which one stays and which one goes? We bandy about various landing spots for Bo Horvat, as listed by Lyle Richardson. Devan Dubnyk has called it a career however Carey Price is not ready to do so. Finally, we talk frankly about Phil Kessel being a hall of famer or not. So much to digest, so let us know what you think and Enjoy the Show!

Devan Dubnyk might have gotten the start last night against the St. Louis Blues anyway. But when word came out the the Avs player who had a positive COVID test was Philipp Grubauer, it was a done deal. So despite some Avalanche fans not being thrilled with Dubnyk as their teams backup, Avs fans need to get comfortable with Dubnyk running the show for the next couple weeks while Grubauer goes through the leagues COVID protocol. And in his first game, Dubnyk did what a back up goalie should do, didn't lose the game. The Avalanche had a masterful second period, per usual it seems, but did everything they could to hold on while St. Louis did everything they could to force OT.Tune in and subscribe!BetOnline AGThere is only 1 place that has you covered and 1 place we trust. Avalanche fans know Devan Dubnyk and know him well. Did they ever think he would be wearing the burgundy and blue and fighting with the Avs to win a Cup? I think most would be willing to admit that day would never come, but it has. Joe Sakic shored up the one remaining hole in obtaining Dub from the Sharks in an early Saturday morning deal, a day after bringing back Patrik Nemeth from the Detroit Red Wings. Dubnyk will be the one to spell Philipp Grubauer when needed and this move comes as Jonas Johansson has put together a string of games where he has improved every game since joining the Avs. What once was a huge question mark for Colorado is now a position of improvement, and the Avs might not be done dealing yet.Tune in and subscribe!BetOnline AGThere is only 1 place that has you covered and 1 place we trust.
