TSN Hockey Analyst Bruce Boudreau joined OverDrive to discuss the Hurricanes' wins against the Canadiens, the Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final and the incredible play of the team, the Maple Leafs' drafting first overall, the direction of the team, the Canadian teams' success outlook and more.
Bruce Boudreau joins Nick Alberga & Jay Rosehill to react to the Leafs' decision to fire Craig Berube, sharing his surprise that Toronto moved on so quickly and suggesting he expected the organization to take more time before making a change.Boudreau dives into what may have changed behind the scenes, including the possibility that John Chayka and Mats Sundin spoke with players about their comfort level with the direction of the team. He also discusses whether coaches can sense when their job security is slipping, pointing to his own experience that most behind the bench do.From there, he breaks down what went wrong for Toronto this season, pointing to defensive breakdowns and injuries as key factors rather than a single issue. He also weighs in on whether having the No. 1 pick could have influenced the timing of the move, and outlines why he doesn't believe it played a major role. Finally, Boudreau addresses the coaching search, saying there's no real rush on a replacement, and makes the case that the Maple Leafs job remains one of the most attractive in hockey despite the pressure that comes with it.
Episode #214 of the PricePlow Podcast goes deep with the two co-founders of NuCelium, a functional mushroom cultivation company operating out of Coldstream, British Columbia. Riley Boudreau and Rob Swiderski join Mike and Ben to explain NuCelium’s biology-first approach to potency and why their full-spectrum growing method can outperform conventional extraction without stripping out a single compound. The conversation covers Rob’s unusual path to mushrooms (he sold his shares in nine restaurants after a vision he attributes to God) and Riley’s journey from mushroom-picking robotics into cultivation science. Together with a founding mycology team carrying over 75 years of combined experience, they’ve built a facility where quality and affordability don’t have to be trade-offs. The headline result: NuCelium’s CordyFuel⢠won the 2025 Cordy Cup with a third-party verified 14.83 mg/g cordycepin reading, the highest in competition history, achieved without extraction. For the full backstory on the company, see our NuCelium brand introduction on the PricePlow Blog, but this discussion is worth your full time. Once you’re done, you’ll be figuring out ways to add CordyFuel and these other top-tier mushroom ingredients to your stack. Nick Alberga & Jay Rosehill are joined by longtime NHL bench boss and noted Leafs fan Bruce Boudreau to break down the chaos surrounding the organization.Boudreau doesn't hold back—starting with his thoughts on Keith Pelley's reported micromanaging and just how unusual it must've been having him in the room during trade deadline discussions. He also weighs in on Pelley's recent press conference… and let's just say, he wasn't a fan. From there, Boudreau offers up the advice he'd give Pelley if the Leafs president picked up the phone today looking for answers on how to fix things. When it comes to potential leadership candidates, he doesn't see an obvious choice—but does float George McPhee's name, noting their history together in Washington, while acknowledging a move from Vegas feels unlikely. The conversation then shifts to Mike Gillis' candidacy and the likelihood that any new executive would bring in familiar faces. Behind the bench, Boudreau shares why he doesn't believe Manny Malhotra is the solution, before wrapping with candid thoughts on Craig Berube's future—and whether he may already be coaching for his next opportunity.
TSN Hockey Analyst Bruce Boudreau joined OverDrive to discuss the Maple Leafs' season trajectory, how Toronto can have a season turnaround, the Canadian teams in the playoffs, the Senators, Blue Jackets, and Sabres going for an extended run and more.
Bruce Boudreau joins Nick Alberga & Jay Rosehill — and he doesn't sugarcoat a thing.Boudreau dishes on Toronto's lifeless 3-2 shootout loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, saying the Leafs lacked jam and urgency. From there, the conversation shifts to Craig Berube's future. Having lived through it himself in Vancouver, Boudreau explains what it's really like behind the scenes when you know you're probably getting fired — and why he believes the players may have tuned Berube out.Who deserves the most blame for this disappointing season? Boudreau weighs in. He also touches on Easton Cowan playing just 8:23 against Philly, suggesting if you're not going to trust him, he's better off playing big minutes in the AHL. Plus, with the trade deadline looming, Boudreau makes his stance clear: no futures, no picks — go get players who can help right now.As for untouchables? Matthews and Nylander aren't moving unless the return is extraordinary — and NHL-ready.#LeafsForever #LeafsMorningTake

I felt like I had uncovered another world that had been hidden from me. Now, 23 years later, I know that our minds are truly powerful and that we have complete control of what we create in our lives. Our minds do create our reality. At that time, I had two small children and was two years into building my business. I had one speed, fast, back then, and my body and mind couldn't keep up with the demand I had placed on myself. Jeremie is a guitarist, composer, violinist, and teacher whose versatility spans classical, jazz, Afrobeat, and beyond. From accompanying artists with just a guitar and pedals to composing an orchestral piece performed by Symphony Nova Scotia, Jeremy's journey is as dynamic as his sound. We dive into his musical roots (including switching from violin to guitar to explore ‘more colours'), the creative process behind writing for an orchestra, and the discipline—or lack thereof—that shaped his early years. Jeremy also opens up about overcoming existential dread as a teenager and how embracing life's impermanence fuels his artistry today.Plus, hear Jeremy debunk the ‘myth' of his perceived perfectionism (spoiler: he's ‘just a regular ass guy') and tease his upcoming solo project under the moniker Nova Fiasco—a deeply personal exploration of identity through music. And yes, he treats us to a mesmerizing guitar performance live in the studio.Jeremie Boudreau, aka NovaFiasco, is a pan-genre creative, composer, and producer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.A classically trained violinist, now full-time guitarist, the guitar makes up a significant part of his musical expression and sound. He also lends his wide creative vocabulary to music directing, production, and collaborative writing. The sound of his instrumental compositions stems from the variety of styles and genres he works under, primarily lying in modern jazz and contemporary classical. Additionally, his music has been premiered at the Halifax Jazz Festival and by Symphony Nova Scotia at the 2025 Open Waters Festival. His instrumental writing also informs his guitar language and solo material, carving for him a rich, unique musical style and identity while working in and out of popular music.@novafiasco
In the remote fishing village of Petit-de-Grat on Isle Madame, Nova Scotia, where the sea is both a livelihood and a way of life, tensions over lobster poaching exploded into one of Canada's most shocking acts of vigilante violence. On the morning of June 1, 2013, 43 year old Phillip Boudreau, a notorious small time criminal known for stealing from fishermen's traps, was brutally murdered on the open water by men from his own tightly knit community. Self-awareness is the first pillar of effective empathetic leadership in The Empathy Dilemma. If you don't know what's going on for you, you will never be able to make room for empathetic leadership.I highly recommend working with a leadership or executive coach to guide you in this self-discovery process. But the world of coaching is like the Wild West, with so many people promising the moon, engaging in unethical tactics, and giving the industry a bad name.Today, my guest, Bridgette Boudreau, talks about effective coaching relationships and how to embrace empathy to get the results you want. We had a meandering and meaningful conversation about false confidence, tips to find and work effectively with a coach, red flags to avoid, and how to recognize certain behavior patterns that are stopping you from getting the results you want. We also talk about the coaching industry and how ethical, genuine coaches can lean into marketing and selling with integrity so the right clients can find them.To access the episode transcript, please search for the episode title at www.TheEmpathyEdge.comKey Takeaways:Try doing some changes internally and seeing what changes about the situation - everybody at work that we're disagreeing with is not the enemy. Don't write off coaching forever if you have had a negative coaching experience.Vibes are important - if you are feeling in the flow, an openness, and like you're energetically on the same page, that's what you want in a coach.Take what you want and leave the rest. Be curious, try new things, and see what works for you. "Never give up your discernment. If something doesn't feel right, bring it up in the session. And if that doesn't feel safe, then that's not the right coaching relationship for you." — Bridgette Boudreau Episode References: Three OG Coaches PodcastFrom Our Partner:SparkEffect partners with organizations to unlock the full potential of their greatest asset: their people. Drawing on their professional and academic experience, Ravin Jesuthasan and John Boudreau argue the current work “operating system” is increasingly unable to meet the needs of employees and employers. They join the Talent Angle to discuss their new book, Work Without Jobs: How to Reboot Your Organization's Work Operating System, and the opportunities for HR to shape a new vision for the future of work. Jesuthasan and Boudreau propose a new work “operating system” based on deconstructed work and deconstructed talent that would ultimately lead to a more human-centric approach to work. In their new vision for the future of work, they emphasize the importance of developing capabilities that will enable organizations to redesign and reinvent work and the employee experience. Ravin Jesuthasan is the global leader of Mercer's Transformation Services business.
