We're back after another successful Extra Life and wouldn't you know it, we have a lot of games to talk about, including RV There Yet, Baby Steps, Power Wash Simulator 2, Black Ops 6, Metroid Prime 4, and more - but not before digging in to what the Steam Machine is, and who precisely it might be for. This week's music: Lola Young - Conceited
What obvious joke? 0:00 - I'm no longer posting on Twitter. Find me at Bluesky (link below) 0:50 - Anther year, another wildly successful Extra Life marathon! 7:57 - San Diego Gas & Electric sent me a survey. It was poorly written and I told them so. 15:18 - I work in the education system. We were hit with layoffs. It sucks. 24:07 - GTA VI was delayed again. Surprise! 37:09 - Monster Hunter Wilds has no interest in America's dumb insistence on continuing with Daylight Savings. 42:01 - I've been playing the Trails In the Sky remake. Here are my thoughts thus far. If you missed Saturday's live broadcast of Molehill Mountain, you can watch the video replay on YouTube. Alternatively, you can catch audio versions of the show on iTunes. Molehill Mountain streams live at 7p PST every Saturday night! Credits: Molehill Mountain is hosted by Andrew Eisen. It's incredibly fun -- but it's also hugely inspiring, and a beacon of positivity when life can be bleak 7:30 PM@LeeShowronsHey 7:40 PM@SheekagoHey Andrew and everyone 7:41 PM@atchaos4lifeHi all 7:46 PM@addictedtochaos2Such a helpful feature 7:49 PM@SheekagoWould Trails in the Sky FC Remake be a good starting chapter for a person trying to get into the series? Would it be better to start with the original? 7:51 PM@SheekagoI'm playing Persona 3 Portable and enjoying it. I'm probably around your age. 7:52 PM@SheekagoI do prefer QOL updates and better graphics, but not opposed to older games. 7:54 PM@jaredknisely6213its very weak 7:54 PM@jaredknisely6213im pretty sure they used ai for some stuff 7:54 PM@SheekagoMy big hesitation is that it's a long series. I also take a very long time to beat games. 7:58 PM@SheekagoOkay, that is immersion breaking. I can understand not always having characters being voiced, but not one being voiced and the other not. 8:00 PM@addictedtochaos2Worst voice acting has to be Arc Rise Fantasia 8:14 PM@jaredknisely6213the pretzel farm 2nd quest is not in the original theere are several vita quests not in the original 8:14 PM@SheekagoHave a good night all

Hello and welcome to The Magicians season 2 episode 9! This week, Eliot decides to try and save his subjects from the pains of war by agreeing a 1v1, king to king! Bonus points for making him look like a bad a** in the process. Maybe get a sick statue in his honor? Meanwhile, Quentin and Penny are back on earth still trying to figure out the next step of the "kill a demigod" plan. Unfortunately, Julia is a figurative bull in a china shop. Maybe Margo's backroom deals with the VERY TRUSTWORTHY fae will save us all in the end? Thanks for listening! If you can't find something to enjoy in this movie, I have to question whether or not you have a soul. The movie is to video games what Toy Story is to toys. We watch Ralph struggle in his role as a bad guy when he isn't really a "bad" guy, and when he sets out to prove it to the NPCs in his game, the world of Fix It Felix Jr comes crashing down. Add in an adorable sidekick, a badass heroine, and more video game easter eggs than you can count, and you have one hell of a movie.Pending RTG Hall of Famer Mark McCue is my guest this week and we praised the piss out of this movie. Laughing at our favourite scenes, pointing out the best cameos (and speculating on what it cost to get Bowser to appear)...this was just a really fun episode. No rage, no arguing, just two man-children geeking out about a movie for kids. And before we wreck it, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week, someone asks if Sega could take Nintendo down today if they were still in the console market? Are game consoles a good investment by the cost of entertainment today? And Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat?Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! Episode 317 of No Credentials Required is an absolute rollercoaster! Ryan McCarthy and Dustin Henry are breaking down all the jaw-dropping moves from the NFL trade deadline. Seriously, if you're a New York Jets fan, make sure you're sitting down: Sauce Gardner got shipped off to the Colts and Quinnen Williams was traded to Dallas. Co-host and Jets fan Ryan is still recovering. They talk through all the drama, what it means for the teams involved, and how fans are handling the shock. On top of that, the guys recap the wildest games from NFL Week 9, including the insane Bears-Bengals shootout and Raiders-Jags nailbiter. Plenty of laughs, a few rants, some genuine sports heartbreak, and a couple of fan-favorite segments - like their picks for peak performer of the week, biggest upset, and the greatest athlete to ever wear number 80 (spoiler: you know who it is). Stick around for Dustin Henry's plug for his Extra Life gaming marathon fundraiser and all the usual banter. The NFL talk heats up on No Credentials Required! Ryan McCarthy and Dustin Henry break down the Thursday Night Football game that sent shockwaves through the NFL, culminating in the dismissal of Dolphins GM Chris Grier after Miami's embarrassing loss to the Ravens. The duo dissects what went wrong for Miami, Lamar Jackson's dominance over the Dolphins, and what the future holds for the franchise as the trade deadline approaches. The conversation moves into a full preview of NFL Week 9, including their most intriguing matchups, a deep dive into player performances to watch (spoiler: Jonathan Taylor and several rising rookies earn spotlight mentions), and some good-natured ribbing over the endless “quarterbacks always win MVP” narrative. You'll also hear their picks for the “self-hatred game of the week,” as well as royal throwback athletes for jersey number 79. Plus, there's a tasty jerky review, shoutouts to listeners, a pitch for Dustin's Extra Life charity event, and all the usual playful banter you expect from Belly Up Sports. So sit back, enjoy your leftover Halloween treats, and get ready for a full breakdown of everything you need to know ahead of NFL Week 9! A bit of a different topic this week as Ryan and Crofton share stories about times that they felt misunderstood for being a parent and advice on how to support your parent friends as they embark on a sometimes scary, always tiring, new journey. But before that Crofton has more to say on Hades II, while Ryan watches The Meg with Kayden and Peacemaker Season 2 by himself. All of this and one of the boys gets a new pet! I've heard it described as playing a Stephen King novel, and I couldn't agree more. The game goes as far as to have you play AS a writer (Alan Wake), and while you don't write anything yourself, you stumble through a horror movie set in a novel, finding pages of a manuscript that keep the plot moving as you fight enemies with guns or flashlights. Or should I say guns AND flashlights. Combat isn't its strong suit, but Alan Wake tells a HELL of a story. The Al to my Barry, ye olde Bradley McCue, joins me on the show this week. He was as stoked to jump into this game as I was, and now that we're both done our first playthrough, we have a lot to say about this one. The entire game is 100% story focused, so if you've read this far (does anyone read these?), know that spoilers are incoming. And before we wake Alan, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week we talk the indie game Ball X Pit, the best games to play while high, and will we ever see Sega Saturn or Dreamcast games on Nintendo Switch Online?Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One'!! The guys break down Breece Hall's breakout performance, Justin Fields' vulnerable admission about his mental health struggles, and Miles Garrett's frustration with Cleveland's losing culture despite his five-sack game. Plus, they discuss shocking upsets from Houston over San Francisco and Miami's demolition of Atlanta, Bijan Robinson's disappointing outing, and reveal the Cut the Brakes Pick 'Em Challenge results. We also get an update on PEAK as Ryan and the AvenDaDs returned to the game for their Extra Life event. I couldn't put it down and now I get why so many say it set the bar for remakes all those years ago.The OG Resident Evil is one of the most important (and fun) games ever made IMO, and Remake improves on practically every aspect of it. INCREDIBLE graphics, better controls, slightly less cheesy voice acting, and more. It takes all the ingredients in a great bowl of soup and someone makes them even greater. I don't know if I'd call this the place for newcomers to the series to start because of the tank controls, but I think it's an absolutely must-play for horror fans and one of the best in the series.RTG's resident evil, my buddy Patrick, is my guest this week. We have different opinions on some entries in the Resident Evil series, but we both agree this remake is top shelf. One of us doesn't care for the mansion setting though, and the other thinks that's crazy. And before we kill zombies, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone asks what Nintendo needs to do to stop being a villain? After their horrible year, do I still like Xbox more than PlayStation?
