In a pride event at the White House last weekend, Joe Biden flanked the transgender Progress Pride Flag with two American flags, violating the U.S. flag code. Not only is this anti-American, but it's becoming very clear that he—and all of the other radical leftists—are doing this deliberately. Plus, a new poll shoes that 69% of Americans think that "transgender" athletes should only compete in sports with their biological sex. And George Soros retires and hands control of his political fortune to his son. This is The Liz Wheeler Show. A poll indicates that former President Donald Trump has widened his lead in the GOP primary following the Department of Justice's indictment of him for allegedly mishandling classified documents at his Florida home. Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) accused President Joe Biden of violating the United States Flag Code during a White House Pride Month event on Saturday. Former U.S. Secretary of Labor Robert Reich wrote Sunday on Facebook that former President Donald Trump should be disqualified from running again, not just because of his indictment, but under the Fourteenth Amendment. Former President Donald Trump vowed over the weekend that he will “never” drop out of the 2024 presidential race even if he is convicted on any of the criminal charges that he faces in multiple investigations. Former President Donald Trump stated on Saturday that Hillary Clinton "doesn't matter anymore," an apparent clap back at a statement Clinton made regarding Trump's recent indictment. Keith reviews the U.S. Flag Code, covering the general government's rules for proper display and treatment of Old Glory. He discusses a local controversy over a business displaying the flag inverted and the proposed Flag-Burning Amendment, the principles and history behind the U.S. Pledge of Allegiance to the flag, why the flag itself is the symbol of the right to burn your flag, and why after careful consideration he no longer says the Pledge of Allegiance. Spoiler alert: Keith is not a Big Government Socialist, and almost every phrase in the pledge is false, so he would need to lie to say the pledge. It's not to be confused with Veterans Day, which celebrates the service of U.S. military veterans, or with Armed Forces Day, which honors men and women currently in service. Memorial Day began a few years after the Civil War, in 1868. Memorial Day was originally known as Decoration Day. The holiday began as a way to honor soldiers who died in the Civil War, but the day now honors all U.S. veterans who have sacrificed their lives. There's a specific way to display the American flag on Memorial Day, according to the U.S. Flag Code: hoist the flag quickly up to full staff at sunrise, then lower to half-staff until noon, and then return to the top of the staff. Many veterans, as well as friends and family of veterans, make a pilgrimage to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., over Memorial Day weekend.Take a Moment of Silence. “Contempt of cop” isn't a formally identified “crime” but rather an unwritten code that has led to the persecution of numerous innocent people. From supplying police officers donuts to the following tale of a harmless guy criticizing a cop's skinny blue line face mask, law enforcement officials have abused their authority and used their badges to attack and arrest people for merely offending them. On September 6, a person presented a legitimate complaint of a police officer's face masks, which had the notorious skinny blue line American flag on it. The person told the officer that the thin blue line flag violates the American flag code, and he's proper. Notwithstanding being right, the cop didn't need to pay attention to it and would expand the scenario to the point of threatening the person with a taser, assaulting, and arresting him. The changed version of the flag being worn via officers involves one skinny blue line, which police often contend represents the barrier between “anarchy and civilized society, between order and chaos, or among appreciate for decency and lawlessness.” however, citizens increasingly more perceive this as a symbolic line that represents the separation and differentiates police from the relaxation of society, representing a blue code of silence among the brotherhood of police officers. All colors at the flag are blacked out, supposedly as a memorial to all of the fallen officers that misplaced their lives in the line of duty. The opening of many meetings is a flag ceremony. Has your unit practiced it? Should an opening prayer come before the flag ceremony? Yes, think about the Scout Oath (“God and Country”). Pledge of Allegiance, Scout Oath, Scout Law, and Outdoor Code. How many non-scout adults in America know how to properly fold the flag? Only 4 to 5% depending on location. Ask yourself, how many former scouts can still fold a flag? All of them? We never just burn flags in scouts. We respectfully retire them by cremation. If the flag touches the ground it’s only accidental or at worst disrespectful. It's not time to run, and get the matches. Troops and Packs, most parents don’t know all the parts of a flag ceremony. So don’t freak out if it goes off wrong. As long as it's respectful and you don't point out mistakes then it's all good. I was told by a leader that they had a parent tell them that they only get to recite the pledge (Pledge of Allegiance) at Scout meetings.

Welcome to Drinkipedia! The podcast that's bad for your liver, and worse for your brain. Three friends take turns drunk-explaining random topics they learned about that week. This week it's Audra who is in the drinking chair, listen to her sip from her dinosaur cup as she teaches us about US Flag Code and Jackie Chan. Music by Mojo Kid. Twitter: @drinkipediapod
In this episode: What is the U.S. Flag Code? Who created it, and why? Is it enforceable? When did the American flag start getting used in advertising? What are the differences between the U.S. Flag Code and flag protection laws? Has the flag always been a symbol of patriotism? Our guest is Marc Leepson, author of Flag: An American Biography.
SHOW NOTES EPISODE 129: KNEEL BEFORE TRUMPZOD This week Host Dave Bledsoe screams “Put me in coach” only to be kicked out another stranger's lamaze class. On the show this week we tackle the NFL Protests only to get called for roughing the Producer. (Could be worse, it could be illegal use of hands.) Along the way we ponder alternate names for the show, and decide the one we have is obtuse enough. Additionally we discuss everything we know about football, (Very little) and everything we know about capitalism. (Still very little.) We ask the burning questions “Does Jet Magazine still exist? What about Ebony?” Finally we drill down into the Flag Code and discover several violations that ought to be felonies! (Fat dudes in American Flag thongs should be a crime against humanity.) This week's Wayback is the Greatest That Ever Was, the subject, not the Wayback, it's pretty average. Our Sponsor this week is Frank's Flag Shack, show your respect for the flag for which heroes died by draping it around your disgusting body! We open the show with Bill Hicks explaining how we can get the world to rally around the flag and close with Skerryvore explaining the way it is. The guys are back this week with Heavy's new flag code, problems with Whataburger and a special treat from Ray Ranfill. To make up for last week's short episode we bring you the listener over one hour of quality product. Right out of the chute, the guys tackle electricity and belts. Riveting stuff right? Then Gustav talks a bit more about Letterkenny, the Canadian comedy series that is now the guy's current favorite show (update: Ty is all caught up). It would be great if Letterkenny was available in the U.S. but it's not at this time so you are just going to have "figure it out". Then Heavy gets all patriotic and digs into the Flag Code. That leads Ty and Gus to prove they are partly wrong most of the time. Then we address a follow up email from our previous episode Partial Rewall. Ray Ranfill is a poet and Ty gives life to his wonderful verses. After such a glorious j.o. fest of in-jokes and 80's NCAA basketball references, Ty gets all old man and channels his rage against Whataburger after he's had two negative experiences in 24 hours. Plus Heavy reveals a shocking Whataburger confession. Somehow Ty realizes that Heavy looks like singer/songwriter/actor Hoyt Axton and that derails the show for a while. Since they are derailed, Ty and Gus spend some time fondly thinking about the WKRP Softball episode. Gustav tells how listener Matt found the lost Coke movie commercial in a shockingly small amount of time. Coke is the Real Thing once again. Click Here for a Mortgage Application Click Here for a Pre-Qualification RequestIt’s that time of year again! That time of year our American pride will be shown by waving the American flag, hanging it on our homes, boats, bikes, buildings, and cars. It’s easy to forget, though, the proper way to handle and hang the American flag. I thought this would be a good time to review the top practical ways to respectfully honor Old Glory.Orient it correctly. The field of stars should always be at the top-left corner, whether you are hanging it horizontally or vertically. The view should always be from the outside-in, so you still have the field of stars in the top left-corner if it’s horizontal or vertical. It’s important that the flag be flown higher than any other flag if there are others beside it.Leave the light on. Traditionally the flag has flown outside from sunrise to sunset, but if illuminated properly it can be left out for 24 hours. You might try a solar light that gets dim during the day and brightens at night, or a garden spotlight to keep it illuminated throughout the evening.Consider the weather. You do not want the flag subjected to harsh elements of rain, wind, or snow, but long as it is made of weather-resistant materials, it should be able to withstand those elements. Retire the flag once it’s worn out. Traditionally, disposing a flag is is done via burning. If you don’t want to do this yourself, however, you can call the local VFW to dispose of it in a respectful way, or even in ceremony.“It’s important to handle the flag with respect, dignity, and honor. ”Don’t let it touch the ground or anything beneath it. When flying the flag from your vehicle, you want to attach it to your antenna, or to the right side of the fender, or to your window by letting the flagstaff hang from the right side. The flag is not to be used for advertising or promotional purposes. For example, putting it on napkins, plates, and boxes. Anything that’s temporary or can be disposed is restricted. No decorations of any kind. You can use decorative flag banners, for example, but the flag itself should not be used as such. It’s important that we handle the flag with the respect, dignity, and honor that it deserves. There are extensive guidelines, per the U.S. Flag Code, that provide more information. If you’d like to be an authority on that code, go ahead and read it. In the meantime, I hope to be your authority in mortgage funding. My team and I are always happy to provide star-spangled banner service to you or anyone you know needing a mortgage. Please feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email. Happy 4th of July!
