Hey, soccer fans! The Chicago Fire is moving backward as a club after announcing that Frank Klopas will the be next head coach ... again. This is Klopas' fourth or fifth (who can keep track!?) time as the leader of the team, and the hiring is proof that the Chicago Fire as an organization are not prioritizing winning. Frank brings a mediocre resume to the Fire, with an overall coaching record of just above .500 and a reputation for losing the locker room. Tune in as our host reads the press announcement from the organization and rips apart the statement praising this hire and rips apart the organization. Remember to rate, review, and share the show. Hey, Fire fans! Did this weekend feel familiar? Was it deja vu all over again? The Chicago Fire lost to Orlando City SC 3-1 for the second time this season, and their same offensive and defensive woes were on full display. In today's episode, we look at how Brian Gutierrez and Georgos Koutsias need to play better and diagnose some of their poor, individual moments. We also look at the coaching performance by CJ Brown (filling in for Frank Klopas who tested positive for Covid) and the news of the hiring of two new assistants. In the second half of the show, we explore the matchup between the Men in Red and their next opponent: the struggling LA Galaxy. The Fire will travel to Los Angeles, and in our host's opinion, will only come back with a single point. Tune in for a breakdown of the Galaxy's expected lineups, formations, and tactics, and who are their players to watch. Remember to rate, review, and share the show. Hey, Fire fans! We're all in on the US Open Cup, right? After the defeat to FC Cincinnati, the Chicago Fire need to focus on their best opportunity to do something meaningful this season. And from the way they played in Cincinnati, they already were. Interim manager Frank Klopas rolled out a 5-4-1 formation and played for a draw from the opening whistle. He rotated his squad and tried to preserve his defense, but once again, the Men in Red couldn't hold onto points late. Lucho Acosta scored the winner for FCC in the 83rd minute, and the Fire left Ohio with nothing to show for their efforts. Tune in as our host breaks down the stats and the disappointment of the match. In the 2nd half of the show, Nick looks ahead to the US Open Cup where the Chicago Fire will face the Houston Dynamo. The Dynamo have had a more impressive Cup run than Chicago so far, but a single-elimination tournament can produce many surprises. The Fire will need to create much more on offense than they have in their recent stretch of games to have any chance of claiming their 5th USOC Trophy - which would be an MLS club record. Twitter - Facebook - Spotify - YouTube

Hey, Fire fans. The Chicago Fire have fired manager Ezra Hendrickson and assistant coach Junior Gonzalez. Fans of the Men In Red are breathing a collective sigh of relief (at least until they heard Frank Klopas was been named interim manager). This news comes as no surprise as the Fire have struggled to find any offense this season, frequently blow leads, and are coming off their worst match of the season to Nashville SC. Down in the Music City, the Fire got rocked 3-0 behind a hat trick from Hany Mukhtar. After two penalty kicks, the side from Chicago collapsed mentally, allowing a third to the reigning MLS MVP. The Fire tried a new 3-5-2 formation, but Nashville was the absolute wrong team for that. The guys gather to break down Heineken Rivalry Week, starting with an Atlantic Cup clash that saw the Red Bulls run over a D.C. United squad that's beginning to grow concerned about their current form. In Toronto, the Reds squeaked past the Didier Drogba-less Impact, a result that was the final nail in the coffin for Frank Klopas in Montreal. Mauro Biello is taking over on an interim basis, and RDS' Pat Leduc joins the guys to explain what's going on behind the scenes with the Impact. Plus, Seattle won by the skin of their teeth much to the chagrin of Caleb Porter, and San Jose have now won four straight after a California Clasico win vs. the Galaxy. Of course, there was plenty of action outside of Heineken Rivalry Week, most notably in the Bronx, where New York City FC lost to Columbus Crew SC and Jason Kreis questioned his team's commitment. Colorado won again to keep their playoff hopes alive, Vancouver lost for the ninth time in nine games in Texas and Fabian Castillo scored then got a Colombia call-up. Speaking of international duty, David and Andrew break down the US national team roster that includes a mixture of World Cup and Gold Cup stars. In the mailbag, a listener wonders what Kei Kamara would have to do to win MVP, the guys sift through more Timbers-Sounders stories, a San Jose fan bemoans all the Steven Gerrard jerseys at Avaya Stadium and David solicits random MLS sightings in world soccer.
