Any given Friday: Eli Manning benched and a QB carousel for the ages

Eli Manning - HOF Since being benched for rookie quarterback Daniel Jones, the NFL media has argued over the career of Eli Manning. While most teammates decided that their former quarterback is a Hall of Fame player, some media members have disagreed. Manning went 116-116 in his career (during the regular season) as the New York Giants starting quarterback. His tenure began with a 1-6 record and for now, has finished with an 0-2 start. He is a two time Super Bowl champion and won the Super Bowl MVP in both appearances. He's thrown a lot of interceptions and a lot of touchdowns, he has a .500 record, but co-host Kai'Chien believes that Manning is a HOF quarterback.  Quarterback carousel Eli Manning was benched for Daniel Jones. Ryan Fitzpatrick was benched for Josh Rosen. Big Ben is hurt, Drew Brees is damaged, and Cam Newton is hurt. Five teams will start with new quarterbacks this week. Within the five teams, there is a rookie, three second-year quarterbacks, and a veteran in Teddy Bridgewater. The only debatable starter for the future at this point is Bridgewater, and he will get to prove his worth and why the New Orleans Saints signed him to a new deal. For Rosen and Rudolf, it is to prove that they are the future for their respective teams. Jones is a rookie and will get some time, and Kyle Allen is there for the time being. It will be an exciting and probably sloppy week of football in during Week 3.  Questions From The Podcast Team Will Eli Manning retire at the end of this season? Injuries and massive lines highlight Week 3 Betting action Following yet another successful week of betting predictions and prognostication, Jason Sarney and Ryan Gosling come off of an overall 8-2 week with gameplays and player props! From a pure betting-on-game action, the Pro Football Network Gambling Crew went a whopping 20-8-1 during Week 2! Last week was certainly kind to the Against the Spread hosts in their better endeavors, yet the same was not to be said for several quarterbacks across the league. Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees suffered significant injuries, as Pittsburgh lost their leader for the season, and New Orleans theirs for about a month and a half, approximately. Kyler Murray looks for first career victory It is Week 3, and Kyler Murray seeks his first career win and the potential of the strange-looking 1-1-1 record. Murray has looked fantastic in two games and has shown brilliance in his passing ability thus far.  On the flip side, another former 1st overall pick has shown potential regression in his abilities. Health is also a significant concern for Cam Newton, which is why the actual line on this game is moving, and in some cases, only off.  FanDuel had this game Wednesday evening at -2.5, which seems very hittable with Newton's injury, and the momentum Murray has built up. The betting action on this game will undoubtedly be on the home team with a hurting Panthers signal-caller and Christian McCaffery coming off of a stinker of a performance against Tampa Bay last Thursday night.  Chiefs versus Ravens and Ryan versus Jason  There is the game, and then the game within the game. Usually, Ryan and Jason share their game-by-game thoughts, but a -6.5 Kansas City line has one co-host worried.  While both love an over betting line to hit, and the Chiefs to win, Gosling has more faith that the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs beat Lamar Jackson and the Ravens by more than a touchdown. Sarney thinks Jackson could lead this game to a fourth-quarter story-book ending, however coming up a tad short.  Will those 6-plus points hurt Gosling and the Chiefs in a betting sense or will Sarney and the Ravens cover ever so slightly and profit on Sunday? Questions From The Podcast Team •    Who will cover this week of betting?•    Is there a Week 3 upset special?•    Who are the players to target for daily fantasy and prop plays? New to the show? Nosebleed Seats: Multiple NFL trades and power rankings reviews

NFL Trades Galore Multiple NFL trades and new storylines for the football world. On today's episode of the Nosebleed Seats, Eric and Zach kick off the show by discussing the top NFL storylines from around the league. Minkah Fitzpatrick was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Eric's Dolphins are continuing the "Tank for Tua" momentum by stocking up on more picks. Eric is pleased with the deal since Pittsburgh seems destined for a top 10 pick after the Big Ben injury, but he knows they better nail the 2020 Draft. If the Dolphins GM Chris Grier fails to get it right, things will get ugly in Miami. Especially after trading away many of their best young cornerstones over the last few weeks. Eric and Zach also discuss whether or not Zach's Dallas Cowboys should make a move for Jalen Ramsey or Jamal Adams. Both players have requested a trade this week. The New York Jets, of course, making Adams upset. Meanwhile, the coaching staff arguing with Jalen Ramsey in a back and forth is not suitable for the Jaguars.  Power rankings and Dallas Cowboys The fellas wrapped up the show with NFL power rankings and some of the best NFL stats from Week 2. Eric and Zach each give their top five teams in the league after two weeks of play. Everybody knows the Patriots and Chiefs are two of the top teams, but Eric and Zach disagree about some others. Of course, Zach is salivating over his 2-0 Cowboys, and the newly found offensive greatness thanks to the young baby faced savior, Kellen Moore. Good news is, Zach isn't delusional to the point of having America's Team atop his power rankings, but my oh my they're getting close. Questions from the podcast team? What 2-0 team can keep it going this weekend? Will the 2019-2020 Dolphins go down as the worst team ever? With all of the NFL injuries that have piled up, what will the ripple effect be around the league? Is the AFC North and NFC South divisions totally up for grabs now? It certainly feels that way. Fantasy Fixers: Fantasy Aftermath of the Injured Quarterbacks

What is the fantasy impact of two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks being injured? Ouch! That hurts! Fantasy football owners are feeling the aftermath of the barrage of impactful injuries in Week 2.  The significance of the season-ending elbow injury to Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will have multiple fantasy implications.  We will get to see 2018 third-round pick Mason Rudolph take over the Steelers offense. In his NFL debut, Rudolph completed 12-of-19 passes for 112 yards, two touchdowns to tight end Vance McDonald, and one interception for a 92.5 passer rating.  The Fantasy Fixers examines how this will affect the Steelers offensive playmakers, running back James Connor, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, and tight end Vance McDonald. The Fantasy Fixers believe that James Connor will benefit as long as he is healthy to get back on the field. If not, they believe Jaylan Samuels is a priority add. The guys believe that JuJu falls into the WR2 range with less boom potential. They think that James Washington will be the main target for Rudolph since they played together at Oklahoma State. Look for tight end Vance McDonald to play an essential role as evidenced by McDonald catching both touchdowns passes from Rudolph in relief of Roethlisberger. Another impactful injury was New Orleans Saints future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Drew Brees suffering a ligament injury to his thumb on his throwing hand. His thumb requires surgery and will be out a minimum of six weeks.  Teddy Bridgewater stepped in for Brees and struggled in relief against the Los Angeles Rams Sunday. The offense was stagnant, and the Fantasy Fixers believes that the attack will struggle immensely with Bridgewater behind center. The Fantasy Fixers project that the only players to hold on to are running back Alvin Kamara and wide receiver Michael Thomas. They also bring up the fact that maybe Taysom Hill might be a better option for the Saints offense.  The Week 2 Winners and Losers The Fantasy Fixers review Week 2 and explain why quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Gardner Minshew are winners. Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders returned this season after suffering a torn Achilles and helped the Denver Broncos beat the Chicago Bears.  Every team facing the Miami Dolphins and the Cincinnati Bengals are weekly winners. The Fantasy Fixers suggest playing every offensive player and opposing defenses against these two teams.  The Week 2 losers include the distinct selections of Steelers and Saints offensive players except for their playmaking standouts. Duke Johnson, who lost touches to Carlos Hyde on Sunday is another Week 2 loser. Two Gordons, Josh, and Melvin are also Week 2 losers.  Questions from the podcast team? How does the season-ending injury of Ben Roethlisberger affect the Steelers offensive options? Who starts in New Orleans with Drew Brees out at least six weeks? Teddy Bridgewater? Taysom Hill? Who were the fantasy winners and losers in Week 2? New to the show? Jared Goff's big deal Two weeks back Jared Goff signed a massive 4-year, $134 million extensions. That puts Goff into the top 5 in average annual salary for quarterbacks. George examines his record under Sean McVay, looks at what happens when Goff carries more of the responsibility in the offense and decides on whether Goff is worth the cash. Breaking News George starts the show by talking about the breaking news on New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton and on Miami Dolphins cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick. Payton has signed a long extension that will not only end any talk of him coaching the Dallas Cowboys, but it will also set him up to stay with New Orleans for nearly two decades, a rare achievement in the NFL. Fitzpatrick requested a trade and reporting from Neal Driscoll of ProFootballNetwork.com indicates the Dolphins are receiving substantial offers for him. George talks about what he would take if he were sitting in the Miami front office. Expanding the NFL playoffs The NFL is talking about adding two teams to the playoffs to make 7 in each conference, and 14 units total for the next collective bargaining agreement. The NFL muted this proposal at the last CBA negotiations. George looks at the argument from both ends. The playoffs last expanded in 1990 to 12 teams. So George looks at who would've got in from 1990 until now and gives you the numbers on the sort of teams that would've made it and how many of them were good teams. Then George talks about it from the perspective of the groups that were seeded second and would go from getting the first week off to play at home. George tells you how many 13-win (and even 14-win) teams would not have got the week off as well as pointing out how much this policy could've changed the recent history of the NFL. Questions for the podcast team What should the Dolphins ask for in a trade for Minkah Fitzpatrick? Is Jared Goff worth the money? Do you want to see the NFL playoffs expanded New to the show? How 'Bout Them, Cowboys? The Dallas Cowboys looked like a superior team in Week 1 against the New York Giants in arguably one of the best overall performances by a group. The Cowboys not only won, but they also covered the spread by a mile and will do so again Week 2 in Washington.  Last week, Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore had the offense finding mismatches, and Dak Prescott looked like a man ready for his pay-day. He tossed a career-high four touchdown passes, and Ezekiel Elliot proved his worth with a modest 53 yards and a score in limited work. The good times continue on the road against another division rival.  The Redskins showed promise early but ended up falling to the Philadelphia Eagles, and this game won't be any more forgiving against the Cowboys.  Look for the Dallas Cowboys to win and cover the -4.5 spread Week 2. The only worry on the Redskins side could be ageless veteran running back Adrian Peterson making his 2019 season debut.  The Bolts Will Strike in The Motor City The Los Angeles Chargers held their faux home-field advantage against the Indianapolis Colts last week 30-26 and didn't need Melvin Gordon to do so.  Austin Ekeler scored a trio of touchdowns to help Philip Rivers and company start the year off on the right note.  The Detroit Lions, however, started 2019 off on an odd note as they fought to a tie with the Arizona Cardinals at 27-27.  Look for Rivers, Ekeler, Keenan Allen and the Chargers to get to 2-0 and send the Lions to a winless 0-1-1 in Week 2.  AFC West Shootout by the Bay The Kansas City Chiefs are a well-oiled machine on offense, and regardless of an injured Tyreek Hill, there will be no shortage of points Sunday in Oakland. Patrick Mahomes will find Sammy Watkins and rookie Mecole Hardman, along with Travis Kelce plenty to help make this a high-scoring affair.  The Oakland Raiders looked solid with Derek Carr and a young and growing offense Week 1 against the Denver Broncos so that the points could come on the losing side as well. Expect the Chiefs to win this one, and also expect a lite up the scoreboard in this Week 2 AFC West matchup.  Questions From The Podcast Team •    Will the Rams fall victim to a Super Bowl hangover?•    Is there a Week 1 upset special?•    Who are the players to target for daily fantasy and prop plays? Washington Redskins - Adrian Peterson inactive Then it's the latest controversy with the Washington Redskins. For the first time in his career, Adrian Peterson was inactive despite being injury-free. Peterson was resigned by the Redskins after running for over 1,000 yards last year and was named team offensive MVP. Jay Gruden was reportedly opposed to bringing Peterson back but may turn to him after Derrius Guice's injury Monday night madness A quick recap of the Monday night results follows beginning with the wild finish in New Orleans between the Saints and the Houston Texans. Why did Houston rush only three pass rushers against Drew Brees late as he was driving New Orleans for a winning field goal? Jon Gruden may have the last laugh with the Raiders looking improved after defeating the Denver Broncos. Jon Elway's latest attempt to find a quarterback, Joe Flacco, had a difficult evening in front of a raucous crowd in Oakland. Fantasy surprises and possible waiver wire pickups. George and Travis delve deeper into Travis' expertise by talking some fantasy football to help you out after a crazy week 1. Andy Dalton had a monster game in taking the Cincinnati Bengals to a near-upset of the Seattle Seahawks, and the Red Rifle might be worth a shot if you need help at quarterback. If not Dalton, then possibly rookie Gardner Minshew who produced one of the most accurate debuts for a rookie quarterback in NFL history. As for running back, Malcolm Brown made a big impression carrying the load for the Los Angeles Rams in the first half before Todd Gurley took over after halftime. The Fantasy Football Impact of the significant injuries in Week 1 Fantasy Football owners witnessed a frantic Week 1 with injuries to substantial fantasy players. The impact of those injuries will result in fantasy owners scrambling for updates on their potential return. How does this affect the other players on those teams? The Fantasy Fixers take a look at each of the significant injuries in Week 1 and what are the next steps for fantasy owners.  Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill suffered a collarbone injury that will result in Hill missing multiple weeks. His absence in Week 1 opened the door wide open for Sammy Watkins to explode to the tune of 9 catches for 198 yards and 3 touchdowns. Watkins always exhibited talent but has been injury-prone throughout his career, missing 18 games in the last three seasons. The Fantasy Fixers advise all owners to pick up Sammy Watkins immediately and also keep in mind rookie wide receiver Micole Hardman.  Nick Foles suffered a broken clavicle in his Week 1 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Foles was placed on Injured Reserve and will be eligible to return Week 11. Foles may want to hurry back after he saw what rookie Gardner Minshew II accomplished when he took over. All Minshew did was go 22 of 25 passing for 275 yards and two touchdowns. The Fantasy Fixers talking quarterback controversy? Another injury with fantasy impact was suffered by San Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman. He suffered the dreaded high-ankle sprain. The initial prognosis is a two to six-week recovery, but that's a tricky injury which could result in lingering pain throughout the remainder of the season. Matt Breida is the biggest benefactor, and The Fantasy Fixers want owners to check their waiver wire for his availability. Also, the guys think that Raheem Mostert is a sneaky pickup as he played well when Coleman went down on Sunday. Pick Up City Fantasy Football owners who consistently win all have one thing in common. They all play the waiver wire. There will always be injuries and players who don't perform. Championship caliber owners examine the available players and know who to pick up and when.  The Fantasy Fixers reviewed the Week 1 results and discovered who are the best players to pick up. If you require a quarterback, Case Keenum looked like the old Case Keenum from the Minnesota Vikings and threw for 380 yards and three touchdowns. Rookie Gardner Minshew II replaced the injured Nick Foles and passed for two touchdowns.  Questions from the podcast team Which players benefited the most from the Week 1 injuries? Who should be the most added players in Fantasy Football as we head into Week 2? Are the Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens offense legit? Antonio Brown - (New) New England Patriot Antonio Browns a New England Patriot and got what he wanted! He is no longer an Oakland Raider OR a Pittsburgh Steeler. Brown is a New England Patriot! The NFL can cheer! Realistically this is the most controversial signing we have seen since the Patriots traded for Randy Moss. Except at that time he was an Oakland Raider, had off the field issues, and the Raiders mainly got nothing for him. Yes, this situation is precisely the same. The only difference is the Patriots getting him for free. The whole situation seems staged, but it is just another chance for Bill Belichick to outsmart the competition. If Brown can be a different persona while with the Patriots, they are Super Bowl favorites.  Tyreek Hill and Julio Jones' significant contract extensions Although he got hurt on Sunday, Tyreek Hill got his extension. The other wide receiver that got an extension this weekend was Julio Jones. Jones kept things honest about his potential contract, and it seemed inevitable that the contract deal would be done. These deals are also now more expensive than Brown's contract in New England.  Dallas Cowboys - Zach Wolchuk of the Nosebleed Seats The Nosebleed Seats co-host Zach Wolchuk joined George to discuss the latest Ezekiel Elliott deal and potential deals for Amari Cooper and Dak Prescott. Prescott is the most likely to get his contract and after his performance on Sunday against the New York Giants.  Questions from the podcast team Did Antonio Brown pull off a robbery?  Did the New England Patriots tamper in the Antonio Brown situation? Antonio Brown - The most magnificent drama in NFL history First, there were the feet, then the helmet, and now the Instagram post. The Oakland Raiders fined Antonio Brown for the second time since he was traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Steelers fans on social media have been reaping the rewards as he has the possibility of being suspended now. Both Adam Shefter of ESPN and Ian Rappaport of NFL Network reported the potential suspension on Thursday morning. If Brown gets suspended, there is a major possibility that the Raiders will attempt to recoup the $30Mil signing bonus and Brown could end up off the team.  Giants vs. Cowboys - The team picks a winner In a new weekly segment in which the podcast team picks a game of the week, Kai'Chien and Eric talk about the New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys. Unlike the years past, this game will be played on Fox at 4:25 pm EST. One of the debate topics was about Ezekiel Elliott and his potential impact on the game. Elliott got his new deal with the Cowboys and will most likely be on a snap count on Sunday. The more important news that Eric was interested in is the potential of seeing Daniel Jones on Sunday in the event Eli Manning is pulled. To tank or not to tank, that is the question One thing is evident to our podcast hosts; the Miami Dolphins are not tanking. However, don't take this the wrong way. The belief from our hosts is that the Dolphins are rebuilding and not tanking. They can be compared to the same thing, but tanking involves little to no talent. It is argued from both hosts that tanking in the NFL does not work as it does in the NBA. The difference in 40 players, 13 in the NBA and 53 in the NFL. The NBA makes it easy to tank and potentially hit the lottery. There are 53 players on an NFL roster, however, and they aren't going on the field to lose. Tanking in the NBA takes 3-4 years. In the NFL if you hit it right, i.e., the 2018 Cleveland Browns, you start to get back into the groove. The Dolphins did make an effort to go away with how they do business, and in the past, they would've traded for Antonio Brown. A step in the right direction.  Questions from the podcast team Is Antonio brown going to be an Oakland Raider in three weeks? Could the New York Giants win in week 1? Does tanking exist in football? Cross-Country Hangover? The Los Angeles Rams begin their defense, of defending that they aren’t going to fall victim to the Super Bowl hangover curse. The Rams will travel coast-to-coast and head to Carolina where a potent offense and solid defense can start this season with a significant headache for newly rich-man  Jared Goff. Todd Gurley is as healthy as he could ever be for Week 1  and let us see how he holds up on the road. The Super Bowl hangover always comes creeping and the Rams are favorites to get the dreaded curse.  Are you ready for some Football? The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears kick off the 2019 season in a continuation of the league’s most storied rivalry. Will, the Bears, defend their home field and if so, can they cover the spread of a field goal?  With this game on Thursday night, the available player props are discussed, and both running backs are excellent stocks to ride early. Seattle Rolls The Cincinnati Bengals are not heading into a positive outlook for 2019, and a contender for the 2020 top-pick. The Seattle Seahawks proved they are all-in for a title run with the trade for Jadaveon Clowney. The Seahawks will lean on Russell Wilson and running back Chris Carson to the ground and pound the Bengals into submission before a long flight back to Ohio. The line says you need a touchdown to win this for a Seattle cover but look for a double-digit victory for the home team. Unlike their NFC West rivals in the Rams, the Seahawks look ready to take the league by storm.  Questions from the podcast team •    Will the Rams fall victim to a Super Bowl hangover?•    Is there a Week 1 upset special?•    Who are the players to target for daily fantasy and prop plays? Ezekiel Elliott - Contract talks finally over? It looks like the Dallas Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott are finally agreeing on a contract extension. This has been a long time coming, and gladly for Cowboys fans, this is coming to a close.  There was the Twitter meme of Zeke who but getting rid of someone like Elliott does not bode well for a team in the situation like the Cowboys. The Cowboys are a growing team and have a crazy amount of talent on both sides of the football. On offense, they have their excellent offensive line, Amari Cooper, Jason Witten back, and of course Dak Prescott. Their defense has a new million-dollar man in Jaylon Smith and of course stud linebacker and second-year man Leighton Vander Esch. The team is ready to compete, and although Dak Prescott has been serviceable for the Cowboys, he stands no chance to compete for a Super Bowl without his star and two-time league-leading rusher in Elliott.  Laremy Tunsil - THE RANT We leave the title in all-caps because that's what it deserves. Living in Dallas but a hardcore Miami Dolphins fan, Eric Chiofalo is not happy about the Laremy Tunsil trade. The rant is one to listen to, and he shares the same issues that most Dolphins fans share today. The trade was one to remember, and if the Dolphins don't screw up their future, then it will be a good one. Fans of the Cowboys can rest easy knowing that Elliott will be there this week, but Dolphins fans will be pouring one out for Tunsil and Kenny Stills. Here's to tank season! Chris Carson - Start Going into his third season in the NFL Chris Carson should be a fantasy magnet. His first season at age 23 he was only apart of 4 games in the season and 208 yards. Last season he started 14 games in the season while rushing for 1151 yards and 9 touchdowns.  Carson has only ascended in the past two years as the Seahawks running back and will ultimately trend upward. Picking him up in fantasy will be an excellent idea for any fantasy owner looking for a running back to produce on the field. With the team in Seattle being significantly better, Carson should benefit from this potential success.  Odell Beckham Jr. - More success  OBJ has been one of the most prolific receivers in the NFL since he entered the league. Whether they were one-handed catches or taking slant routes to the house, OBJ was successful. He will now go from an aging QB in Eli Manning to a young and hungry QB in Baker Mayfield. Mayfield had one of the best rookie seasons from a QB and will now add OBJ to his talent selection. There will be a lot of football needed to go around, but there is no doubt that OBJ will get his fair share.  Questions from the podcast team What team signs LeSean McCoy? Jadeveon Clowney - Smartest move in player history? Jadeveon Clowney has pulled off what might be the smartest chess move that the NFL has seen by a player. Not only did Clowney get the trade that he wanted, but he also got traded to the Seattle Seahawks where they didn't have to give up anything. The Seahawks gave up a third-round pick, Barkevious Mingo, and Jacob Martin. They gave up nothing to acquire the star defensive end and even if they can't get Clowney to sign the dotted line they will benefit this season.  Clowney was headed to the Miami Dolphins and even met with the team until he refused a trade to Miami. He waited to sign his tender till he was going to be traded to the team that he wanted to go to. Whether he gets his big contract from the Seahawks is a different story and something that will rely on his play on the field. Miami Dolphins - Tank season By trading away Laremy Tunsil and Kenny Stills for future assets, Johnson Bademosi, and Julien Davenport it could be tank season in Miami. The Dolphins decided that they could not pass up the offer from the Houston Texans and Bill O'Brien. The Dolphins are prepared to go into free agency, and the 2020 NFL draft with six potential top 100 picks and almost $140Mil in cap space. Laremy Tunsil and Kenny Stills traded Miami Dolphins fans it is now official. The Dolphins traded Laremy Tunsil and Kenny Stills to the Houston Texans for a haul of picks. The Dolphins got a 2020 and 2021 first-round pick, a 2021 second-round pick, Jonson Bademosi, and Julie'n Davenport. The Texans in return got Laremy Tunsil, Kenny Stills, a 2020 fourth-round, and a 2021 sixth-round.  The Dolphins get a haul of picks, and it makes it seems evident to the NFL media, and it's fans that the tank is full force. Trading away Kenny Stills and Laremy Tunsil seemed like it was inevitable a few days ago, but after the Jadeveon Clowney trade to the Seattle Seahawks, a deal looked impossible. Then the Dolphins shocked their fans by going through and getting picks + players from Bill O'Brien.  The Texans did get a future franchise left tackle in Laremy Tunsil and an excellent wide receiver in Kenny Stills. This also shows fans that they are all in on the now and have mostly pulled a Brooklyn Nets and traded their future. Josh Rosen QB2 In the middle of the podcast recording, the news was announced from Brian Flores himself that the Miami Dolphins would be starting Ryan Fitzpatrick over Josh Rosen in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens. The first reaction from our podcasts hosts is one for the ages as all three are huge Dolphins fans and Rosen supporters. Ultimately anything can happen, but our hosts agree that at some time this season. Rosen was the better quarterback during the second half of training camp and going into the pre-season. Rosen will start eventually, and when he does, he will have his chance to show Brian Flores and Chris Grier why there were wrong or why they were ultimately right. Dolphins fans should root for Rosen and hope that they don't have a Dolphins moment and draft Gators QB Felipe Franks next season.  Florida Gators vs. Miami Hurricanes instant reaction The Florida Gators and the Miami Hurricanes played in a college gameday Week 0 matchup last weekend. It was a sloppy game, and neither team looked like they wanted to win the game. With turnovers from the Gators that consisted of two critical fumbles and two picks from Felipe Franks. The Hurricanes played redshirt freshman quarterback Jarren Williams, and although sacked 10 times, Williams was decent for the Hurricanes and gave fans a reason to believe for the rest of the year.  Our podcast hosts had reason to be fired up as our resident Florida Gators fan Kai'Chien Chisholm and Miami Hurricane lover Eric Wiedeke got into a discussion about the game. This included the gloating from Kai'Chien as his Gators were able to beat the Hurricanes 24-20 in the Week 0 matchup.  Questions from the podcast team Are the Miami Hurricanes better than the nation thinks they are? Houston Texans - Jadeveon Clowney and Duke Johnson The Houston Texans have been looking on trades for a right amount of the offseason. They traded for former Cleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson and have officially put Jadeveon Clowney on the trade block. Duke Johnson could finally have his shot with the Houston Texans. After years of never being the guy with the Cleveland Browns, he now has the chance to be the guy. His fellow University of Miami graduate in Lamar Miller, unfortunately, tore his ACL over the weekend and barring any trade, Johnson will start. This most significant issue for the new shinny running back is the Jadeveon Clowney situation. According to reports on Twitter, the Texans would want either a starting offensive tackle, a running back, or a wide receiver. With official reports coming out that the Miami Dolphins have met with Jadeveon Clowney in person, Kenyan Drake could be a trade piece. This would be the worst situation for Duke Johnson due to Kenyan Drake being the more talented back and having a history as a longtime starter. There seems to be significant interest from the Miami Dolphins and with them not wanting to trade star left tackle Laremy Tunsil, Drake and Kenny Stills could be options. The Dolphins are looking to unload, and if Clowney gives the go-ahead for a trade, then it will most likely be the Miami Gardens destination. NFL Housekeeping: Andrew Luck news/Daniel Jones rant We won't dive too deep into Andrew Luck during this article, but our hosts from the Nosebleed Seats were more shocked about the Luck retirement than a potential Jadeveon Clowney trade. This was a sticky situation for the Indianapolis Colts and Luck. During the podcast, there is also a funny rant from Zach Wolchuk on New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. Andrew Luck - Retirement and impact on fantasy football This weekend was filled with stunners. Lamar Miller tore an ACL and Andrew Luck retired from the game of football. Our hosts look into the injury to Luck and what it means for fantasy football owners. The Andrew Luck retirement was shocking, and our hosts dive into it as well throughout the podcast and give their opinions on the news.  This news was perfect for our fantasy fixers podcast as they were able to discuss whether you should still include Indianapolis Colts players in your fantasy team. With the Andrew Luck retirement, this means Jacoby Brissett will now take the full time starting role. Not having Andrew Luck will put the team at a huge disadvantage and will be something to monitor on the fantasy football end if you decide to take a chance with Brissett.  Lamar Miller - Torn ACL Miami Dolphins, Miami Hurricanes, and most importantly, Houston Texans fans have reasons to be sad as well. EX-Dolphins player and the former University of Miami running back Lamar Miller tore his ACL over the weekend in a preseason game for the Houston Texans. This is sad for Miller as he finally looked like this would be his year for the Texans. Now with another setback, Miller will have to watch from the sidelines and see his fellow Hurricane running back in Duke Johnson get his moment in the spotlight. With a contract looming soon, Miller could be looking at the last big deal of his career.  Lamar Miller was a good running back with the Miami Dolphins, and the Miami native was a hero at times for Dolphins fans. When he followed the money and signed with the Houston Texans, he has been above average for the Texans.  These issues are not to say that Lamar Miller has been awful though. Without starting all 16 games in his three seasons with the Texans, Miller has rushed for 2,934-yards and 13 touchdowns. It hasn't been the worst production from Miller, but it hasn't been what the contract warrants. It sucks to see him go down and hopefully he comes back at close to full strength next season. The AFC South has lost a lot of talent between the injuries to Miller and Andrew Luck and fans will miss it.  Questions from the podcast team Do you think Lamar Miller will be back in Houston for the rest of his career? Laremy Tunsil - possible trade With Andrew Luck retiring and Jadeveon Clowney nearly traded, this weekend had it all. To accompany a long weekend of information, PFN Owner Matthew Cannata and PFN draft analyst Tony Pauline reported through the PFN twitter that Laremy Tunsil could be available at the right price. Before this article goes further, I will quote a specific piece from an article Cannta posted on Saturday night. "But before we go on, let’s make this clear. Our news is not that Laremy Tunsil is being traded. Lots of trades materialize and then die. Any football fan knows this. Our news is that Laremy Tunsil is even on the trade block, to begin with, and that the Dolphins are listening to offers."  With that being said, during the article, George explains why the Miami Dolphins might want to trade a player like Laremy Tunsil and the impact it could have on the Miami Dolphins. With Andrew Luck retiring and Jadeveon Clowney nearly traded, this weekend had it all. Andrew Luck retires The stone-cold stunner of the year award goes to former Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck. Adam Schefter reported in the middle of a Colts game on Saturday that QB Andrew Luck would announce his retirement from the NFL on Sunday. After all the shock and crazy tweets, the game ended and Luck went to the podium to announce his retirement and gave his speech. Luck has been injured for four years now and has been on and off the injury train. During his speech, Andrew Luck talked about why he decided to give up the game he loved playing. He explained that he needed to find a way out, injuries were getting to him, and the issues with playing the game of football. Luck further told the media that he just felt stuck in the injuries and it was taking a toll on him. Instantly fans, media, and players went on twitter to console Luck and to wish that he finds his peace. It was a sad moment for the NFL, and it's fans as they lost a great QB. There were the boos from the crowd, the media members being rude on twitter, and fans booing jerseys, but the support on twitter from players shows how great of a player and person Luck was. Jadeveon Clowney - One foot out the door in Houston Not only was there Laremy Tunsil news over the weekend but again, PFN Owner Matthew Cannata and PFN Draft analyst Tony Pauline reported that the Miami Dolphins were making a strong push for Jadeveon Clowney. This was also tied into a report on Sunday that the Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills could be interested in pursuing Clowney themselves.   Something that will be key to look out for in the trade talks is if the Miami Dolphins jump the gun and offer Laremy Tunsil in trade talks for the star pass rusher. Adding someone like Laremy Tunsil to the Houston Texans will be crucial, but the Dolphins will have to jump on this for it to become a reality. Questions from the podcast team Should the Indianapolis Colts draft a QB this year or rely on the future of Jacoby Brisset? Will Laremy Tunsil be traded before the start of week one? Could a Laremy Tunsil for Jadeveon Clowney deal be in the works in the next few days? New to the show? Did you enjoy the podcast? Patrick Chung - Drug charge for cocaine possession Of course, making a joke about the situation for Patrick Chung is so common that we will save it here. The case for Chung and the New England Patriots blows, and the Patriots could have a significant hole in their defense this season. Ultimately this is the Patriots and assuming that they will lack in a position on defense is funny. This will be a new situation; however, as Chung has been an essential piece of that defense for so many years. AFC East opponents know about the impact of Patriots defenses and the impact that Chung makes for the secondary. He has never been a superstar, hasn't commanded the crazy money, but that is the Patriot way. Sign quality players, use their prime, and if they are truly apart of the Patriot way, then they take less money to stay and win.  For fans of the AFC East it is a revolving door of New England Patriot players and as much as they are hoping that the situation for Patrick Chung is more and he doesn't play. They should know that another player will fill that spot quickly. As stated, it's the Patriots way.  Coaches on the hot seat  Mr. Cole Thompson (TWITTER) is a fan favorite here on the Any given Friday podcast. Every week we seem to cover an article from him, and this week is no different. This week our team looks at his latest article "NFL: Which head coaches are on the hot seat in 2019?". During the podcast, only two of the ten coaches were talked about. For further insight, the article will be linked again here and is mentioned and discussed about during the podcast.  Questions from the podcast team Do you think that Patrick Chung will play another down for the New England Patriots? Is Patrick Chung in for a lot of legal trouble headed his way? New to the show? Did you enjoy the podcast? Aaron Rodgers - 4,000 yard under For Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers our hosts expect the under. From injuries the past few years and the potential of a run-heavy offense, they don't expect a massive year from Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers has been the discount double-check man for years at this point and is a Super Bowl-winning quarterback. Rodgers hasn't had a full season of production where he threw for less than 4,000 yards since 2015. Since then he threw for 4,428 in 2016, then 1,675 the year after (dealt with injuries and played in only 7 games), and last year he threw for 4,442 yards. With these stats in mind, it isn't impossible to see Rodgers throwing for less than 4,000, but it is an under that could bring a bang for your buck.  With a new head coach and a different offensive system this year, the Green Bay Packers will need Aaron Rodgers to produce for them. The running game could be a factor for the Packers this season and could potentially take yards away from Rodgers. Hopefully, for Rodgers and Packers fans he is also injury-free this season. Questions from the podcast team Is there a potential for Aaron Rodgers to fall under a 4,000-yard season this year? Are you placing bets on the Green Bay Packers to make the playoffs this season? Will Aaron Rodgers succeed this season with new coaching in Green Bay? New to the show? Did you enjoy the podcast? Baker Mayfield - Daniel Jones comments The New York Giants drafted Daniel Jones with the number six overall draft pick in the 2019 NFL draft. Since then, the Giants and Jones have been destroyed on Twitter and other platforms by fans and media alike.  After the first preseason game for Daniel Jones, some opinions were slightly changed. The one who hasn't changed was Baker Mayfield. Mayfield made the comments that Daniel Jones is not a winner and he was shocked that the New York Giants drafted Daniel Jones. For the record, Mayfield and Jones played in two different situations in their collegiate careers. Mayfield was a started for the Oklahoma Sooners who were successful with head coach Lincoln Riley after transferring from Texas Tech. Jones, however, played for Duke and Duke has never been known for its football expertise. Duke is a basketball college and Jones didn't have a winning record (17-19) but worked with what he had. The big step for Daniel Jones will be his first NFL start/game. If Jones can come out and provide an impact on the field, he will shut his critics up very quickly. Ezekiel Elliott - Contract disputes Ezekiel Elliott who? Jerry Jones thought it was funny to say that comment. Elliott is a star running back in the NFL, and even if Jones doesn't think the Cowboys need Elliott, that might not be the case. Elliott led the league in rushing two of his three NFL years, and the Cowboys have always been known to be a running football team. They could do running back by a committee, but they will need Elliott if they don't do an excellent job in week one. On top of this, the Cowboys could lose to a Daniel Jones led team without Elliott in the backfield. Questions from the podcast team Did the comments from Baker Mayfield about Daniel Jones make you feel a little for Jones? Will Daniel Jones be a franchise quarterback for the New York Giants? Do the Dallas Cowboys need Ezekiel Elliott? New to the show? Did you enjoy the podcast? Josh Gordon - Reinstated The most interesting wide receiver in the NFL has been reinstated and is back with the New England Patriots. The Patriots will get their #10 back in Josh Gordon for as long as he stays on good terms with the team and the NFL.  Josh Gordon is a gold mine for fantasy users who drafted Gordon in the later rounds of their drafts. When healthy, not suspended, and on the field Gordon produces. If he can stay fit and within the guidelines provided by the NFL, then the Patriots will be a scary team, and Gordon will produce points for fantasy owners.  In just 11 games last year for the New England Patriots, Josh Gordon caught 68 balls and 3 touchdowns. During his first two years with the Cleveland Browns Gordon caught 137 balls for 2,451 yards and 14 touchdowns. Those were scary numbers considering who he was playing with on the Browns. It will take a lot for Gordon to be a Patriot player but this year could be scary for NFL teams and fantasy football owners if he and Tom Brady click on the field.  Ezekiel Elliott - Will he ever return? It seems like a never-ending saga with Ezekiel Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys. After recent comments by Jerry Jones, it would be a miracle for Elliott to play another snap in a Cowboys uniform. Just like we saw last season with Le'Veon Bell, Elliott is ready to sit out and wants a new deal.  Questions from the podcast team When are fantasy owners selecting Josh Gordon in their fantasy drafts? Are the expectations too high for the Arizona Cardinals? If/when are you drafting Antonio Brown? Will Ezekiel Elliott play another snap for the Dallas Cowboys? New to the show? Jay-Z and the NFL make a deal The NFL and hip-hop/rap icon Jay-Z has made a deal to involve Roc Nation with the NFL and its social justice. There have been some that disagree with Jay-Z and how he and his company will be involved with the NFL. By now everyone knows the story about Colin Kaepernick, Eric Reid, Kenny Stills, and others and their fight against police brutality. Since Kaepernick took his stand and kneeled on the sidelines, only Stills and Reid are currently in the NFL.  The anger from Jay-Z and this deal stems from the issues with Kaepernick and him not playing in the NFL. Eric Reid, in particular, has expressed his anger with the deal both on Twitter and in interviews. Those that are angry are mad that Jay-Z and his company Roc Nation would align themselves with the NFL while the Kaepernick is not in the NFL.  On the business aspect for Jay-Z and Roc nation, it is a slam dunk. The money they will continue to make is unmatched, and they will be involved in all big NFL deals most likely. It has also been rumored that the NFL made a deal with Jay-Z where he will be a part-owner of a franchise soon.  Questions from the podcast team How involved will Jay-Z get in the Super Bowl halftime show and will we see Roc Nation artists like DJ Khaled and Rihanna performing in the future? Andrew Luck is injured again Unfortunately for Indianapolis Colts fans Andrew Luck is once again injured. Owner Jim Irsay said that it is a "little bone injury" even though it was reported as a calf injury. The injury for Luck will make another setback for his season and the Colts.  During the podcast, Corey and Kai'Chien discuss an article from PFN writer Eric Frosbutter about the injury to Andrew Luck. Luck is a top-five quarterback when he is healthy, and the unfortunate issue for Luck and the Colts is the setback as a team. When first-round bust Eric Ebron was starting to star and connect with Luck, he will have to gain some trust with backup quarterback Jacoby Brisset. Brisset is a serviceable backup but won't compare to what Luck and Ebron built on the field.  With as talented of a team as the Colts have, Andrew Luck will need to get healthy as soon as possible for the Indianapolis Colts to have the impact they will want to have in the AFC South and further into the playoffs.  Possible 2018 disappointments no more A second PFN article reviewed by our hosts was an article from our writer Neal Driscoll. Without giving away the contents of the article and the podcasts thoughts on it, Kai'Chien and Corey dive deep into his choices.  Amongst the group of five that Neal Driscoll picks, the most intriguing to Kai'Chien and Corey were Vita Vea (12th pick), Taven Bryan (29th pick), and of course Josh Rosen (10th pick). Of the three they choose only Josh Rosen has been moved to a different team. Corey and Kai'Chien believe that all three can come in and make an impact this season for their teams and hope for the best for all of them.  Questions from the podcast team Will the Indianapolis Colts be fine without their starting quarterback Andrew Luck? Will Andrew Luck be healthy for the Colts this season? Do you think the Colts should be looking for a quarterback in the near future? New to the show? Did you enjoy the podcast? Podcast By Friday Episode 8PBF008: 3 Tools To Simplify Scheduling Of Podcast Guests with Bill Griggs and Kingsley GrantKingsley Grant and Bill Griggs talk about how they simplify scheduling guest for their podcast using 3 simple tools. In this episode you will discover three scheduling tools that we have found to be "must haves" if you are planning to conduct interviews for your podcast. In our experiences, we have found that trying to schedule an interview appointment with potential guest can be frustrating, embarrassing and at times feel unprofessional.Have you ever had someone email you to set up an appointment and the dates and times they proposed doesn't fit your schedule? What do you normally do?Here's the typical scenario:You: "Would Monday at 9 a.m. work for you?"After waiting between 12 to 24 hours and sometimes longer, you receive this email: "I'm sorry that time and date doesn't work for me."You: "What about Thursday at 11 a.m.?"Guest: "I"m sorry that doesn't work for me."You both are feeling frustrated. You are feeling embarrassed and awkward having to "bother' your guest in trying to come up with a suitable time. This could go on for a few more exchanges, where you might not hear from your guest. You've lost an interview opportunity. What we are proposing in this episode is to get an online scheduler, which will simplify the process and save you and your guest the feelings as described above. In this episode we mention Acuity Scheduling (www.acuityscheduling.com), Calendly (www.calendly.com) and Schedule Once (www.scheduleonce.com).We know there are more online schedulers that you can find but most of the people we know who are Podcasters have used one or all of the above. You'll hear us describe the differences between these three as well as the cost if there is one.We hope you listen, share this episode with someone else and help us give more people like yourself an opportunity to be helped with information like this. Here's how you can do that.Go to iTunes and search for Podcast by Friday Click on the iTunes button Click on the Rating and Review tab Leave us your honest rating and review.
