The NFL season kicks off next week and Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles offense are gearing up for their week 1 battle against the New England Patriots. Former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker, and current FOX and 94.1 WIP analyst Garry Cobb takes a look at the Eagles franchise quarterback and the weapons surrounding him like A.J Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. Is the only hurdle facing the NFC East Champions just staying healthy? Let us know in the comments below. Cam Jurgens has impressed throughout training camp and it looks like he will beat out rookie Tyler Steen for the starting right guard spot replacing Issac Seumalo who was signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the offseason. Jurgens, in his second year in the NFL, has only ever played center. How will the young athlete adjust? Will he have trouble finding his rhythm? Was it a smart move by Head Coach Nick Sirianni and Defensive Coordinator Sean Desai? Over the offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles running back room has some new occupants in D'Andre Swift and Rashad Penny. Swift was picked up during the 2023 NFL Draft as part of a trade with the Detroit Lions. Penny was signed following a 5 year stint with the Seattle Seahawks. Alongside Kenny Gainwell and Boston Scott, will these new additions be what this team needs to advance their ground game? Who will emerge as the top running back in 2023? Following the Super Bowl, the Eagles' defense gained a new defensive coordinator in Sean Desai but lost key players. Enter Jalen Carter. Drafted 9th overall by the Eagles earlier this year, the Georgia Bulldog defensive tackle has already positioned himself as one to watch throughout the season. Darius Slay and James Bradberry have continued to impress throughout training camp as well. However, an area of concern is the linebackers and the safeties. Are we getting good-quality play out of Nakobe Dean and Zach Cunningham? Is Reed Blankenship the right man to fill that starting safety role left vacant following the departure of C. J. Gardner-Johnson? As a former linebacker for the Eagles, as well as the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions, Cobb takes us inside the minds of these young defensemen and gives his thoughts on what adjustments he would make as the season approaches.

Yo Yo we are back with another episode of a great Fantasy Football Podcast. Hosted by myself Myron Butler, and my guy David Schwartz. Week 7 is a gigantic week in Fantasy Football, at this point you know your team is built for a title run or that you need to make some deals to get you to the promise land. This episode we discuss some of the biggest duds of week 6, those players who made you throw your phone across the room. Of course, we discuss the return of Nuke AKA DeAndre Hopkins. We do "Thank You Cards" to all those players who won their owners a fantasy league this week, Deon Jackson, Austin Eckler, Jamaar Chase and more. Unfortunately we did have some big injuries to discuss. Carson Wentz, Damien Harris, Rashad Penny, and the biggest being Hollywood Brown out for 6 - 8 weeks with a foot injury. And of course we end the show with our game by game, start or sit for Week 7. A very much anticipated week of football. Our Survival Fantasy Game between David and I is going well, Myron is 2 - 0. We will see if David can recover this week. Winner takes home the bragging rights. Cleats of the Week :: Adam Thielen with the Ace Ventura Cleats in Miami Thanks for listening ! Share. Subscribe. With today's wild ride, Jance and JD navigate through some of the more notable NFL news like Cap'n Mitch Trubisky being confirmed as the starter and if it matters for fantasy, James Robinson is confirmed to play in Week 1 and the impact towards Travis Etienne, and then also Aaron Rodgers putting praise on a rookie WR and if that matters or if it's just him confusing the world even more. Finishing the first half with review of the OG League's rookie draft picking out some quirks of this particular draft, some questions around other picks, and then finally the highlight of the draft when a certain member was spurned by a backpacking Chocolate Bear. Stick around to hear that draft story because it's golden. In the latter half the guys go over players that they have some bold stances and claims towards such as Joe Burrow's redraft value, Miles Sanders love, affections for Rashad Penny, less than love towards Deebo Samuel, and a group effort towards Travis Etienne. Lastly, they set the parameters for their vaunted Jersey Bet and the players that it entails. Rick Dhaliwal, host of Donnie and Dhali, joined Matt and Blake for the first time this new year. Started off with the frustration of being covid fatigued. Say’s it’s a frustrating time for fans. The people Rick talks to just want to watch the game. It’s not so much about going to the game. Talked about what drove the postponement. Was told it was due to capacity. Noted that the Warriors and Abby Canucks are going to play. It’s just this team that can’t. Talked about the possibility that teams might not get all 82 games in. Thinks that Boudreau is probably losing it after going on such a hot streak to start his time in Vancouver. Talked about potential GM’s. Talked about the possibility of Scott Young coming to Vancouver. Says that Rutherford is going after a lot of friends. Talked about Aidan McDonough. If you’re the Canucks, you want to sign this kid. Vancouver needs to wait a little bit closer to the NCAA season coming to an end. Canucks need some draft picks from lower rounds to step up. Talked about Jaro Halak and if he will play 10 games. Our Canucks reporter, Jeff Paterson joined us and referred to today as “Frustration Friday”. We heard from Bill Daly yesterday that he expected the game vs OTT to go forth. Says the players are hockey players, not hockey practicers. Hopes for the players sake that the road trip goes on without a hitch. Talked about the schedule getting hot and heavy. It won’t let up. It will be a difficult stretch, for a team trying to make up ground. This is the organizations putting profits over points. Jeff doesn’t fully grasp it as we are seeing the Leafs playing in front of empty seats. You’d think this game could be a good tune-up, leading into the extended road trip. Gregg Bell joined ahead of the last Seahawks of the season. Talked about if the band is getting back together. Doens’t see Jody Allen in a regime change mode. What’s at play is how much drama RW3 wants following a 6-10 season. After 13-3, he was unbroachable. Talked about if they will want to go with Bobby Wagner. He is still plenty good enough. There is also nobody coming in behind him. Same with RW3. Talked about if this game means anything. Might matter for Rashad Penny and how much he makes next year. He has done it against the weaker teams but not the better teams.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Vanni Sartini joined Matt and Jeff ahead of their playoff match in SCK. Says it will be hard for everyone. They will be the underdog going in as the 6 seed. Talked about having to go out and play with nothing to lose and fearless. They are trying to force them and play them high. Spoke to the environment with their crowd. Talked about confidence of the club. Always wants to talk about the team and not an individual player. It’s always about the team. When one player flourishes, it’s because of the team. Says it was good that he won the first 2 games in charge which gave the team confidence and trust in him to do what he wanted to do. Says he needed a few days to recover. His wife was happy that he finally flew to Kansas City so as he was driving her crazy. Talked about the plan for the game. They have an idea with the starting XI. They have option A, B and C depending on how the game goes. For sure they will need more than 11 players. Will use all the players. Needs the intensity to be as high as it can. All the players on the bench can guarantee quality. The most important part is organization. Talked about what Ryan Gauld has meant to the organization. He has brought a lot. When MLS established the DP, his impact is what they had in mind. Gave himself a 7 out of 10 on his Nona’s lasagna. Host of Donnie and Dhali, Rick Dhaliwal joined Matt and Jeff to talk about what he is hearing. First off was how close he thinks ownership came to making a change. Thinks the only people who know what is going on is ownership. They should not be concerned about money with what the family is worth. They have spent a ton of money and always spent to the cap. Talked about the communication between teams and agents. Talked about how the farm is looking. Gregg Bell of the News Tribune in Tacoma joined to talk about the Seahawks. Talked about if it this weekend is a must win. They have to get to 500 and win some games before they think about playoffs. Usually if you are 3 and 6 around this time, playoffs become a Jim Mora PLAYOFFS? But not this year. NFC only has 6 winning teams and 7 go to the playoffs. Even if Kyler Murray doesn’t play, ARI still have a lot going for them. Talked about their defence. Plenty of sacks and secondary is firing as well. Talked about how they can get defences to play more honestly. Run more, shorter throws. A healthy QB would fix a lot of the problems they are having. Thinks that the Cards will rest Murray, heading into a bye. Even if they lose they will still be 8-3. That would get Murray a 4 week rest. Expecting Murray not to play. Talked about Rashad Penny. If they run the ball they need him to be a part of that. They run because their o-line requires them to run. Talked about the future of the Seahawks. Talked about the structure of the team and who hires a coach with the current coach outranking the GM. He is the supreme power on football decisions. Gregg doesn’t think the owner wants an overhaul with the mess that is the Portland Timbers and everything See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Dallas Cowboys - Cowboy up to Miami in February? Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper lead the Dallas Cowboys offense and once Ezekiel Elliot returns this Super Bowl starved franchise has an all or nothing mentality in 2019. Elliot must answer for this Super Bowl fantasy to be a reality. However, should it take a month or so for the contract situation to be worked out, Tony Pollard can hold court. In a weak division, the Cowboys are a significant contender to go far in the playoffs and it couldstart with a division title. Who roots against Russell Wilson? At favorable odds to win the NFC West, Russell Wilson leads an all-out ground attack withrunning backs, Chris Carson and Rashad Penny. TJ Lockett is a target of Wilson’s to targetfor yourself in fantasy leagues.Defensively the Hawks are always a league-leader and a team that is virtually impossible toBeat at home. With a top-heavy division and potential four wins against the bottom-feedingNiners and Cardinals, look for Seattle to dethrone the Rams in the West Steelers as steady as can be as the class of AFC North Even with a loaded Browns team, a new full-season offensive experiment in Baltimore andtwo all-world offensive talents gone, the Steelers usually find a way to sneak into thedivision-winning conversation. James Conner leads the rushing attack in what he hopes to be a full 16 games, and perhaps there is a new Steelers receiver in the pantheon of WR studs in the Steal City. Will the Steelers hold off the Browns resurrection and holding it off another season or two or three? Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the program looking back at the domination of the Bears' defense against the Seahawks. Some of the question that linger from last night's game include the play of the Seahawks' offensive line, the emergence of Rashad Penny and if the Bears will have to rely on their defense to keep them in games. Looking at some early waiver wires, the guys wonder if Darren Sproles is worth any FAAB value. Scott tells a caller who is looking for value DeSean Jackson that you need to sell him now, because his value not be higher. Looking at some wide receivers to pick off the waiver wire, Dane thinks Tyler Boyd has some Fantasy relevancy, and Scott calls him a great possession receiver. #FNTSY #NFL #MNF #Week2 #Bears #Seahawks #KahlilMack #MitchTrubisky #TarikCohen #AR15 #RussellWilson #RashadPenny #DJax #TylerBoyd #DarrenSproles Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers
