How can I be a successful entrepreneur? That's the first step that most people don't take. "I today have made a decision that I want to be a successful entrepreneur!" The next thing is finding someone or a team or education that is going to show you how to do that because we're not typically born with knowing how to be successful entrepreneurs. Most colleges don't even teach you how to do that. They teach you how to get a degree to then go get a job. Surrounding yourself with someone such as myself, that is a coach that knows how to help you be a successful entrepreneur is key. Also, you want to understand and recognize that there are other things such as setting up a business plan, having money to invest in your company, building a successful team, learning how to sell successfully, understanding the profit and loss of a business that you want to start. When you combine all those things together, you yourself can also become a successful entrepreneur and enjoy the financial freedoms and unlimited possibilities related to doing so. How can I be successful in Sales? Link: https://rankingmastery.com/edit_questions.asp?action=info&id=1597&a=9148&p= Answer is: Number one, you want to make sure that you have the knowledge, expertise, experience, and whatever it is that you want to sell. People know right away if you do, or you don't, and they're going to know if you are being genuine and authentic with your experience. Number two, you want to make sure that you are an effective communicator, that you are actually asking questions and understanding what is it your consumer wants. Instead of just guessing what they want or assuming, that won't benefit you. The third thing that you want to do to be successful in sales is to recognize that building relationships is the key to selling. When you build a relationship and somebody gets to know you, trust you, like you... that in itself will help you make the sale. If you're doing sales correctly, the sale will almost happen on its own. The sales call should be the last theme that you are doing. When you focus on these steps and the sales success method that I teach and speak on, you will recognize more than anything that sales become a breeze because you're focusing on selling a service or a product that you love and you're recognizing that it really isn't about the product or the service. It's really about what that transformation or what that advantage is going to be to the consumer. How long will it take to have a successful business? Link: https://rankingmastery.com/edit_questions.asp?action=info&id=1598&a=9148&p= Answer is: It depends on what type of business you're starting. Have you set up a business plan? Do you have a team to support? Do you recognize that it takes money to invest in your business to turn around and be successful in it? The rule of thumb typically is that you should have enough money set aside in either alone or your savings to get you through two years. It doesn't mean that you're not going to make money in those two years, but typically you're taking the money you're making in the two years of starting your business and reinvesting it back in the business. You could probably pull out a profit and probably make a living, but when you set yourself up recognizing that you should give yourself those two years to really focus on reinvesting in your business and being successful that is going to set you up for long-term success. As somebody that has opened multiple businesses, someone that has started and owned a business for 25 years, I will tell you that success does not come overnight. When you set yourself up for success, by setting up a business plan, building a team, recognizing that you should have money to invest in your business, and doing it right from the get-go, there is no reason why your business should not be successful and to make money. How to make money in your small business? Recognize how much money do you need to invest in your business at least for the first six to 12 months before you even turn a profit. Make sure that if there are things that you do not know about working in your business, selling in your business, or setting it up, you want to hire a team and put together people around you that know how to fill the gap in the areas that you do not know in your business. It would be great if we knew everything, but it's just not possible. To make money in your business and to set yourself up for success, you've got to have a plan. You want to put it into action and make sure you're working in your business every single day. Entrepreneurs, many times work way more than people that are working for somebody else that might be working nine to five. Why? Because we love what we do. What does it mean to be an empowerment coach? When my private clients work with me, we spend some time at the very beginning learning what the goals are that they want to accomplish and setting up a plan to show them how to be successful with logical steps that they should be implementing and taking in their business. I've worked with all types of businesses and at the end of the day, business is business. I've worked with automotive clients all the way up to real estate clients. It does not matter. When you are working on success in your business, someone that is empowering isn't just going to teach you the logical steps, but they're also going to recognize that you've got to be motivated, empowered, and recognize that sometimes you need that little extra push. Well, the first thing is you've got to look at them as people, not as numbers or as positions. You've got to make sure that they know that you see them as people. As someone that's been an entrepreneur for so many years, I also know that fine line between being the employee and the boss versus being their friend. You can still ask your employees "What motivates you? What gets you up in the morning? What excites you about coming to work?" listen and then create programs, create a culture, create training surrounding what excites them. Sometimes the easiest thing you can do is focus and recognize that it is easier to get your employee to work where their strength is versus where their weakness is. Have them working in those areas every day, then fill the gaps with employees that might have strengths in the area of this employee's weakness. It's a great start to motivating your employees. Can I be good at Sales? Link: https://rankingmastery.com/edit_questions.asp?action=info&id=1265&a=9148&p= Answer is: What you need to start with is changing your mindset. You might ask yourself, what does that mean? Sometimes when we hear the word “sales” and in our mind, we immediately go to somebody pushy or shoving something down our throat that we should buy or service that we should contract. What if instead you stepped back and you asked yourself "What is it that I love so much, that I know other people can benefit from?", either a service or a product that you might sell. Then focus on the positive aspects of that service or product. As someone that works with companies, corporations, and individuals on showing them how to be successful in their business and in sales, I focus on what they want to accomplish, what they want to get as a benefit from working with me and my services. That's what you need to do. Because most of us are already doing it. If you really think about it, aren't you already in sales? Most people already are. Because there is a need over and over again in society for some type of product or service that fills the gap or benefits the client. You just need to figure out what product or services. If you already know, the next step that you want to take is to ask yourself "what benefits does my product or service offer to people?". You want to be very clear on the benefits. You want to make sure that you're listening to what they need and offering what benefits they're going to receive based on what they're telling you that they need. You need to figure out if it's a product or service or both. Then you've got to have the system on how to sell. There's a lot more that I can't cover in here. What is the one skill every sales person should develop? Many times salespeople don't even give their client or customer a chance to talk. What if instead you listened, you listened, and then when you heard a keyword that was related to the product or the service that you're selling, you now responded with how that product or service can benefit the client. Pauses are beneficial cause you to give the client time to think instead of pushing them. Sales is sometimes such a taboo topic. What if instead, we made it about communicating. What I've done in my career is really get to know my client or customer, understand exactly what they're looking for, and then do my best to fill that void that needs to find something in my services or product that benefit that client. This isn't about just the numbers that you want to accomplish in your company. Yes, that's a part of it, but what is it that motivates you? For one, it might be the money, for another, it might be financial freedom to take their kids and their family anywhere they want, for another it could possibly be being promoted to a different division. If it's just money, great. Dig a little deeper. "What is it that you are motivated about when it comes to money?" "What is it that you want in your life because of financial freedom?" The next thing that you want to do is you want to train your employees. You want to train them to not be pushy salespeople, but to focus on what that client needs, listen to them, stop talking, only respond and share specifically what they're looking to benefit from that product or service, and then tell them that part. There's so much that you could share about a product or service. Why don't you focus on that? I need you to step back and think about the items and the services you've bought in your life, what have you bought, why, and who did you buy it from? How do you build a rapport? How do you build a relationship of trust so that clients can be loyal? I have seen it over and over again with my own clients. I really listen and I focus on what they want to accomplish if it's a service or a product. Then I tailor my programs and my training specifically to those companies, as well as my talks.
