Talking about "Hard Knocks" can be "contagious" for Browns fans. On Monday, news came out that the Browns will be featured on “Hard Knocks: In Season with the AFC North," and on this episode of the Orange and Brown Talk podcast, Mary Kay Cabot and Ashley Bastock are offering a preview and their thoughts on what to expect. The two discuss how this is the first time "Hard Knocks" has focused on an entire division, as well as all the storylines that make the AFC North compelling -- particularly with each team's quarterbacks. They also go through the Browns' schedule and try to piece together some of the key games the cameras will chronicle, as well as go through the difficult logistics of filming during the season. Finally, it's a trip down memory lane with a look back at the last time the Browns were featured on "Hard Knocks," which was during training camp in 2018. Ashley and Mary Kay go through the drama that came to light at the time, the different highlights -- including Jarvis Landry's "contagious" speech -- and how the organization is in a very different place six years later. Gio is loving the in season Hard Knocks with the Dolphins. Tyreek Hill's mother is very entertaining. There was a nacho cheese incident in the stands where she had nacho cheese spilled on her by accident. Tua wears a Go-Pro on his helmet during practice and they look at the video after practice.
Aaron and Josh return with their final pre-Thanksgiving show to preview the Dolphins' Black Friday matchup with the New York Jets in the Meadowlands. The Jets will be in desperation mode, changing QBs on a short week in an effort to keep their season afloat long enough to perhaps allow their knight in shining armor, Aaron Rodgers, to return and lead them to a postseason run. Can the Dolphins' defense stay red hot? Can the Dolphins' offense finally click on all cylinders against a top tier defense? Who will be the key players to watch? Plus, the guys share their thoughts on the season premiere of Hard Knocks In Season, which will be following the Miami Dolphins as long as their 2023 season lasts. They also share some Thanksgiving takes and what they are thankful for this year. Oh yeah...they're also gonna sing the song. Hour 3 Xavien Howard not happy doing Hard Knocks In Season. Tobin still moping that the Heat doesn't have Dame Lillard after his 39 point performance in his 2srt game as Buck. He is putting notice on Kyle Lowry as the Heat take on the Bucks Monday night. What Tickle's Leroy's Fancy?
Hour 1 The Vikings beat the Niners behind a great game by Kirk Cousins. Boomer wonders why the Vikings want to get rid of this guy, but the GM doesn't seem to want him after this season. Boomer said he hung in the pocket and made a bunch of great throws and wasn't sacked once. It was about as perfect a game as a quarterback could have. The issue with Cousins is could he do this on the road in the playoffs? Boomer said Cousins' performance should be a training tape for young QBs on how to play quarterback. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Kevin Harlan's calls from the Vikings win over the Niners. Brian Daboll was asked about Daniel Jones and has no update. Jerry is confused by all of the Adam Schein shows. The Texas Rangers beat the Astros and are headed to the World Series. The Diamondbacks won in Philadelphia, forcing a game 7 tonight. The NBA season opens tonight but the Knicks don't start until tomorrow. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer and Nate were on Entertainment Tonight for recreating the Taylor Swift/Brittany Mahomes handshake. Boomer said the Giants are going to blitz and Zach Wilson has to figure out how to get it to the open guy quickly. Hour 2 The Texas Rangers are in the World Series despite Max Scherzer only going 2.2 innings and giving up 2 runs early. The NBA season starts tonight and we talked about a rumored trade involving Joel Embiid to the Knicks. We got into some hard core Knicks talk as their season starts tomorrow. As a Knicks fan, Gio does not want Embiid even though he won the MVP. Gio thinks he's just not the right guy for them. Jerry returns for an update and has the final out that sent the Texas Rangers to the World Series. We thought he would be a little more excited. The Diamondbacks beat the Phillies to force a game 7 tonight. Chris Russo said he would retire on the spot if the Diamondbacks win. There's a LIV type baseball league starting in Dubai. The Vikings beat the Niners thanks to a huge game by Kirk Cousins. The Dolphins will be featured on Hard Knocks: In Season. In the final segment of the hour, Tyson Bagent is getting another start for the Bears on Sunday night against the Chargers. Boomer said a lot of teams are still in it except for the Panthers and Cardinals. It doesn't feel like a dominant team exists. The Chiefs look the best but they have not looked great at times. One of the big games this week is Bengals/Niners. Boomer said one of the teams surging is the Jaguars and they play in Pittsburgh this week. Hour 3 We have a game 7 tonight between the Diamondbacks and Phillies. Both Al and Eddie, noted Mets fans, are rooting for the Phillies. Boomer and Gio cannot believe that. A caller said Evan claims to have a big schwein. We took calls from people who are angry at Al and Eddie for being Mets fans and rooting for the Phillies. Jerry returns for an update but first Anthony Gallo comes in because Boomer was wondering why he was late. Jerry has Kevin Harlan calls from last night's Vikings win over the Niners. Kirk Cousins had a great night with 2 TDs and the Vikes move to 3-4. It's Giants/Jets week and Brian Daboll likes how the defense has been playing. Mike McDaniel talked about the Dolphins being the in season Hard Knocks team. In Philadelphia tonight, we have a game 7 between the Diamondbacks and Phillies. In the final segment of the hour, what's up with Baker Mayfield and the Bucs now? Boomer said the Giants should blitz Zach Wilson and force him to find the open guy quickly. Gio thinks the Vikings and Giants are both past the tough part of their schedule and both teams could start piling up wins. Boomer asked Gio of the Giants, ‘do you really think they're going to beat the Jets?' Hour 4 With the Texas Rangers in the World Series, Gio will continue to bet against Max Scherzer whenever he pitches. MLB has to desperately be rooting for the Phillies to make the World Series over the Diamondbacks. Did the 49'ers touch the money with the F Dallas T-shirt that George Kittle wore? Gio has a good theme song for the upcoming 2024 Mets season. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with the Vikings beating the 49'ers 22-17 behind a great game by Kirk Cousins and Jordan Addison. The Rangers beat the Astros and move into the World Series. Max Scherzer was celebrating even though he hasn't done anything. Kevin Durant is on the Suns now, but is happy to be back at Golden State. Julius Randle was on The Tonight Show and was singing. Gio called Gregg Popovich an ‘old, angry peckerhead'. The Moment of The Day involves Anthony Gallo coming in late and not dressed great. In the final segment of the show, we took calls about Mets fans rooting for the Phillies in the NLCS. Gio is happy his wife is not into sports. It would be too much for him to be arguing about.
The Texas Rangers are in the World Series despite Max Scherzer only going 2.2 innings and giving up 2 runs early. The NBA season starts tonight and we talked about a rumored trade involving Joel Embiid to the Knicks. We got into some hard core Knicks talk as their season starts tomorrow. In anticipation of Super Bowl LVII, we're back with a follow up to our episode on Hard Knocks: Training Camp w/ The Detroit Lions, this time tackling Hard Knocks in Season: The Arizona Cardinals. This is easily our most sporty episode yet. As always, though, we transfer the narratives on the field into the world of celluloid dreams. Quite literally: To break the ice, we enumerate the stories and moments from the 2022-2023 NFL season we each think might one day translate fluidly to the silver screen. Purdy, Brady, Hamlin, & Wilson all make our cut (for very different hypothetical movie genres). Finally, after confabulating wild movie premises of our own, we dig into main event and discuss the AZ Cardinal's grueling, abysmal, train-wreck season, marred by motivational apathy, nonstop injuries, and serial underachievement. The lackluster display on the field turned so dour, in fact, it took its toll on HBO's show. Noting the gloomy moroseness of each successive episode, we end up in a caustic discussion over whether Hard Knocks in Season: The Arizona Cardinals might be best viewed as an unintentional workplace farce or a tragicomedy. On this line of thought, we have a grand old time nitpicking the depressing details and sporadic silver linings from the season, which include Kyler's conspicuous absence, Kingsbury's bro-chic MTV Cribs-style mansion, JJ's boyish enthusiasm and lovable personality, Budda's unflinching tenacity/affable sibling rivalry, Hopkin's resilient mother/artsy sensibility, and the endless carousal of random, washed-up QBs emerging in the starting lineup every week. If you're in the mood to listen to lots of football chatter with some heady thematic extrapolations, you've found the perfect tailgate background noise to toss onto the car radio. So open up a big bag of Lay's potato chips, throw back a few cold ones, and enjoy some goofy Pre-Game bantering before the Big Game!
Ed and Javon share their thoughts on Damar Hamlin and try to understand the impact on the teams involved. Additionally, they react to the most recent episode of Hard Knocks In Season. Was it too much JJ Watt? Does Ed see growth in Zaven Collins year over year? Is Kliff heading into his final game as head coach for the birdgang?
Ed and Javon recap this week's Hard Knocks In Season as the Cardinals regroup after the Denver loss and prepare for the Bucs. Ed shares his thoughts on the soon to be retired JJ Watt's time in Arizona as well.
Gambo and Tim Ring, in for Burns, react to comments from Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill on last night's episode of Hard Knocks In Season. Could his comments foreshadow the upcoming offseason? Plus, visits from Coyotes GM Bill Armstrong and our Suns guru Kellan Olson.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Javon and Ed react to the most recent Hard Knocks In Season as the Cardinals prepare for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Christmas day. Is Kliff Kingsbury at his wits end? Can the Cardinals use the end of the season to make next season a success?
Ed and Javon discuss the unexpected announcement of General Manager Steve Keim's leave of absence. Also, they react to the most recent Hard Knocks In Season and look ahead to the Denver Broncos matchup.
Ep. 621 - Things don't always go as planned. Mistakes happen. And when a player makes mistakes on the football field, everyone can see them. That was the case for Isaiah Simmons earlier this season. He addressed his benching after Week 1, something that really stood out to both Craig Grialou and Dani Sureck in the latest Hard Knocks In Season episode. Antonio Hamilton, too, had a not-so-good moment caught on film. And, yes, there were several not-so-good moments captured during the loss to the Chargers. Plus, as the team heads into its bye week, it is a good time for Grialou and Sureck to shout-out a pair of 30-year-olds who are not acting, or perhaps better said, playing their age.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Wolf and Paul Calvisi react to episode four of Hard Knocks in season featuring the Arizona Cardinals and they are joined by Suns' guru Kellan Olson to discuss Devin Booker's monster night against the Bulls.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Eno Benjamin has made waves during Arizona Cardinals training camp. If he could emerge as a solid RB3, the Arizona Cardinals offense may tip the scale to elite status. The NBA Finals are set as the Warriors and Celtics will face off in the biggest series of the year. Who will take home the NBA Title? Sure, Deandre Hopkins did not provide a HUGE amount of productivity in 2021, but with the loss of Christian Kirk, the Cardinals are in a tough position. They acquired Hollywood Brown from the Ravens to compensate for the loss of their No. 2 wideout, but after a six-game suspension was handed to D-Hop, the Cardinals' woes are back. What will they do... who knows? Thank god it will be captured on film during Hard Knocks: In Season, this will be interesting. The Saints NEED to address their QB situation. Is Jameis healthy... or not? There are a couple of candidates I see fit for a potential trade to NOLA. Enjoy the show.

Happy Thanksgiving! I am a few days early but we should celebrate all week! I start off with a breakdown of the intense Porter/Crawford fight on Saturday where 2 friends battled each other for 10 solid rounds. Speaking of rivalries, USC Football has reached a breaking point after another embarring new low for the program. The walls of Troy have officially been breached after giving up 62 to the Bruins. I also ramble about pepperoni being overrated on pizza, Hard Knocks In Season, new coffee adventures, and how some guys just have to talk about their achievements. Finally, I offer my thoughts on the verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/15mph/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/15mph/support
