Let me this day have faith in Him Who says I am God's Son. And let the peace I choose be mine today bear witness to the truth of what He says. God's Son can have no cares, and must remain forever in the peace of Heaven. In His Name, I give today to finding what my Father wills for me, accepting it as mine, and giving it to all my Father's Sons, along with me.And so, my Father, would I pass this day with You. Join Pastor Megan as we delve into the series "In His Name," focused on John 17, where Jesus' prayer to His Father showcases the importance of living and acting in His name. In a world full of popular quotes, discernment is crucial to ensure that whatever we are quoting is in alignment with God's Word. Ephesians 4:14 and 2 Timothy 4:3 caution us as believers against being swayed by teachings that  lack truth - even if they are a great sounding quote.Words are powerful, they are capable of both uplifting and causing harm to others, as Proverbs 12:18 shows us. We need to remember that  as representatives of God, our speech carries weight and that is why it's necessary to be mindful of what we say, read, or quote. Jesus' teachings provide a blueprint on how to align our words with His. He provides us with a guide on how to be mindful of our actions and speech.Jesus was wise and  His wisdom shines through His commands, such as loving God and others wholeheartedly. We can rest assured that when we  model our lives after Him, we will live lives full of wisdom. Jesus's ways went far beyond speech, and if we do so then even our lives will be changed and transformed - our demeanor and response to challenges in life will also be transformed. Therefore as we continue to walk in His name, the book of Colossians 4:5-6 encourages us to be gracious with our speech so that we may reflect Christ's character. Its not easy but through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, may our speech mirror the love and truth of Jesus Christ. May He be the one to guide our actions and interactions as we strive to represent Him faithfully.

Today's Passage: Romans 12:10Today's Prayer: Father in Heaven, the God of all glory and honor. Worthy of all worship and praise.  You are the God who has bestowed your honor and glory upon your people. Through the person and work of your Son, Jesus Christ, who now resides in us through the Holy Spirit, we are agents of your grace and temples of your glory. What a privilege and joy!  We ask that you'd make us people who see the ways your glory is at work in those around us.  To be people who call out and honor the ways you're making others more like your Son.  To be people who really do outdo one another in showing honor.  We need your help to do this. Holy Spirit, we cry out asking for the power necessary to faithfully live this Gospel implication out. We are powerless apart from your presence.  Help us be a people, a Church of honor in a world of shame and criticism. To reflect your beauty and glory to a watching world. To live in a way that makes your Gospel even more attractive.  We simply want more of what you have for us. We simply long to be more like Jesus. In His Name we pray.  For thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever…AMEN.NOTES & LINKS:21 Days of Prayer and Fasting WebsitePDF Guide to Prayer & FastingAs part of the 21 days, we're committing to 21 days of 24/7 prayer. These Romans never knew the division that occurred when the #SonofGod arrived. While the people saw the unbelievable #miracles, the Pharisees and the contingent from the temple worked to destroy him. No wonder Paul said whatever you do in speech or deed, do all in the Name of the Lord Jesus. To do all things in the Name of Jesus doesn't mean that when you want to clean your shoes or floor, for example, you say, “I clean these shoes in the Name of Jesus,” or “I wipe this floor in Jesus' Name”; no! What it means is that you're to live your life in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In all situations and circumstances, your life proclaims the Name of Jesus Christ; you live as His representative. You live your life every day in and with the consciousness of the power, glory and dominion of His Name. When you do this, you won't struggle with some health troubles; your life will be an unending stream of blessings and the supernatural. You'll have no consciousness of need, because the power and glory of His Name make all things right with you, for you, and in you. The question is, “How do you live in His Name and as His representative?” It's simple; first, become conscious of His life in you. 1 John 5:11 says, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” This life is both death-proof and disease-proof! Secondly, never live in fear. Live in boldness. The Bible says, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18). If before now, you were always attacked by fear, from now on, say, “I refuse to fear. I live in boldness, in the Name of Jesus.” It makes no difference what you face in life; in His Name, you're a victor; you're triumphant forever. In His Name, you live above circumstances and the perils of this world. His Name is a strong tower; you were born into it, to live therein. Hallelujah! Have this consciousness. CONFESSION Dear Father, I thank you for the power and blessing of living in the Name of Jesus. In His Name, I live triumphantly, over and above circumstances and the perils of this world. I live in perpetual peace, prosperity, health, success and greatness, to the glory of the Father. Hallelujah! FURTHER STUDY: Matthew 28:18-19 (KJV) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Colossians 3:17 (AMPC) And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him. Luke 10:19 (AMPC) Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Ephesians 4:1-16 & Isaiah 23-24 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN 2 Timothy 2:11-26 & Jeremiah 45   To give towards sponsoring free copies please kindly click the below link  https://buy.stripe.com/bIYcOj8vQepC3eM6op

To write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you.Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh—though I myself have reason for confidence in the flesh also. If anyone else thinks he has reason for confidence in the flesh, I have more: circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee; as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law, blameless. But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.If you'd like more information about our church, please check out our website: First Baptist Church, Reading. If you'd like to watch this episode as a video, please head over to our YouTube channel: Hymn Talk Twin Talk YouTube ChannelWe are available for speaking engagements. At the mention of the Name of Jesus, the Bible says every knee should bow. This is the sovereign decree of Almighty God; it's a law in the spirit-realm. When the Name of Jesus is called, everyone submits to it in heaven, in the earth, and under the earth. It's impossible to resist the power of His Name. This is the Name He gave us to live by. The Bible says, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus…” (Colossians 3:17). Do you know what this means? Many people pray in the Name of Jesus; but for some, it's just a religious observation or rite. Some don't even believe, but they pray in His Name anyway. For those of us who believe in Him, the Bible says in Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Hallelujah! Imagine all that we can do in His Name. Isn't this amazing? In His Name, you can cast out demons; if any deadly thing enters your system, it won't hurt you. In His Name, we heal the sick, cleanse the lepers and raise the dead. The Bible says, “oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength! All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever” (Ephesians 1:19-21 MSG). He gave us so much authority so we can fix things in our world. He gave us His Name so that we can use it to dominate and influence this world for His glory and establish His righteousness in all the earth, and we're at it. Blessed be God! PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for giving me the Name of Jesus to live by and function with in the earth. When I make requests in that Name, they're granted; this takes the limits off life. I can do all things and become as successful as I desire because I've been given the Name of Jesus to live by. Hallelujah! FURTHER STUDY: Acts 4:9-12 (KJV) 9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Colossians 3:17 (KJV) And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Philippians 2:9-11 (KJV) 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN Acts 6:1-15 & 2 Chronicles 26-28 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 & Isaiah 2 To give towards sponsoring free copies please kindly click the below link  https://buy.stripe.com/bIYcOj8vQepC3eM6op

Daily Lectionary: Leviticus 18:1-7, 20-19:8; Luke 11:1-13 "Father, hallowed be your name. . . " (Luke 11:2b) In the Name + of Jesus. Amen. God gives His Holy Name to us. A Name that is above all names. A Name that is more than just an identification. His Name is set apart from all other names and clarifies who He is and what He has done. In our world today, names bring identity to individuals and have become symbols of success. Families have names that are passed down from generation to generation. Companies have names, and with those names come branding and marketing logos. Schools are given names and mascots of those schools are given names, too. Everything has a name.God's Name is unique. His Name brings comfort that no other name on earth can bring. His Name is holy, not because we make it holy but because He declares it to be holy. In our sinfulness we loathe His Holy Name. We use it frivolously and toss it around as some insignificant name. We use His Name to deride, to curse, to swear, to lie, to deceive. We take His Holy Name and cast it among the names of other false gods and equate the value of His Name with their names. In the end, we really want nothing to do with His Name.It is God who wants something to do with you. In His unfathomable love for you, He has called you by name. In your Baptism, the Name of the Triune God was given to you. In His Name and with the waters of Baptism you were washed and cleansed with the forgiveness of sins. You received the sign of the cross both upon your forehead and upon your heart to mark you as one redeemed by Christ the crucified. The benefits of His death and resurrection are yours through Baptism. As you are sent into this world you carry His Name upon you. He takes you and equips and enables you to serve in the vocations that He has created. He has prepared you for His glorious return when every knee shall bow and every mouth confess His Holy Name. In the Name + of Jesus. Amen. At the name of Jesus Ev'ry knee shall bow Ev'ry tongue confess Him King of glory now, 'Tis the Father's pleasure We should call Him Lord, Who from the beginning Was the mighty word. God's Son can have no cares, and must remain forever in the peace of Heaven. In His Name, I give today to finding what my Father wills for me, accepting it as mine, and giving it to all my Father's Sons, along with me. And so, my Father, would I pass this day with You. Job 42:9   “So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite, did what the Lord commanded them; and the Lord accepted Job's prayer.”   Asking in the Name of Jesus pt 5 We left off yesterday studying from the Book of Acts in Acts 3:1-8. This is where Peter and John were going into the Temple. There, at the gate, they met a man who was begging for alms. He had been crippled from birth. Peter stopped and told the man to “look on us.” Yesterday, we discovered that Jesus was talking about demanding SATAN would loose whatever hold he had on someone, be it physical or whatever. We learned we have that authority and that demons would have to bow to the Name of Jesus – even when WE were the ones using His Name. Amen! Now, in John 16:23, we see where Jesus told us, “…in that day, you will ask me nothing.” One translation says, “…in that day, you shall not pray to me…” Why? Because He has told us several times now, in our study, that we are to “pray to the Father in the Name of Jesus.” This is talking about praying to the Father in our place in Christ. Amen! That is how we are to pray. In verse 24, Jesus says, “Hitherto” (or, “up until this time), you have asked me nothing in my name…” In other words, “You have not prayed to the Father in my Name.”  He continues, “Ask – and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.” But in John 14:13-14, we  have seen that Jesus is saying something different. Jesus said there, “whatsoever you ask, in my Name, that will I do, so that the Father will Glorified in the Son. If you ask ANYTHING in my Name, I WILL DO IT.” That is a marvelous promise. Amen! And since Jesus is God – He can't lie, right? That means what He said is the Truth. Don't shout me down when I'm preaching good! Praise God! As I said, here Jesus is saying YOU are to use His Name to DEMAND what is rightfully due to you as a believer. You are NOT demanding God the Father do something. You are demanding that Satan cease and desist in his operations against you or someone you are praying for, by the authority of the Name of Jesus. You are speaking with HIS AUTHORITY that He issued to you. It is the authority in the Name of Jesus that does it. When I was a police officer, I could stand in the middle of the highway with my arm raised and traffic would stop. If I was in civilian clothes, I may have been run over. But by wearing the uniform and badge, I was operating under the authority vested in my position. And traffic would obey – or face the consequences.  It was not ME doing the stopping. It was the position I held and being identified as someone who had the authority to command traffic to stop. As a believer, it is not YOU or your authority that is doing the commanding. It is You using the authority and the position given to you by Jesus. You are operating under HIS authority. Amen! Me, alone and in civilian clothes, could not stop a bicycle going down the sidewalk at a fast pace. But in uniform and operating under the authority of the law – I could hold up my hand and semi-trucks would stop! Amen! That is the authority Jesus is talking about us using here. Not “our authority,” HIS authority – that He has vested in us to use, IN HIS NAME. Praise God! I pray that you are getting this… In fact, I want to pray for you right now that you did get this example and are grasping an understanding of the authority you possess – in and by the Name of Jesus! Amen! Let's Pray! Do me a favor…can you leave a comment down below and I would greatly appreciate it if you would leave a rating and review over on iTunes. And so, “blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord”; “what love the Father has bestowed on us” in Jesus, His only Son, for now we can be like Him – now we are God's holy children.  Taking “refuge in the Lord” by His Son, we come at once to our salvation.  Oh what glory is ours following in our Savior's wake!  Listen to what our Good Shepherd states: “I know mine and mine know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father.”  Realize to what union with the Father of all you are called by the Child He has borne to us for our redemption.  Oh how “wonderful in our eyes” this should be!  And consider if you will that one day we His children “shall see Him as He is.”  How shall our souls bear such blessing? Jesus dies for us; for the sake of your sheep He is crucified, O LORD.  Yet He takes up His life again, and thus we are raised with Him.  He does not run from the sacrifice you call Him to make, but knowing well it is the only way we shall be saved, fully embraces your command.  O let us be as He is! willing to lay down our lives.  Then truly we shall be your children. There is no other name by which we are to be saved; there is no other way.  In the Cross let us find our life this day, dear God.  May your Son shepherd us to your kingdom.

Scripture For Today: Luke 11:2 “He said to them, “When you pray, say: “‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.” The Lord's Prayer IS NOT a New Covenant PrayerWhat may surprise some Christians is that the Lord's Prayer is not a New Covenant Prayer. Think about what we covered yesterday. The disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray. He gave them the “Lord's Prayer” for that period of time that He was still on the earth. You see, Jesus came to this earth and when he died on the Cross, what did He say? “It is FINISHED” (in John 19:30). That meant the OLD COVENANT was finished. Jesus then ushered in the New Covenant by His death, burial and resurrection. So Jesus gave His disciples the “Lord's Prayer” for them to pray during the interim (between His death and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost that ushered in the New Covenant). There are principles we can learn from the Lord's Prayer, but technically, it is a prayer that is still prayed under the Old Covenant. We know there is no mention at all of praying in Jesus Name in the Lord's Prayer. Isn't that what we studied yesterday? That He told them to pray in His Name? Don't get me wrong, this is a beautiful prayer!  But it is a temporary prayer that Jesus taught people to pray back before the Old Covenant went out and the New Covenant came to be.  And what did Jesus teach His disciples to pray when the New Covenant came to be? To pray IN HIS NAME, remember? John 16:23, like we studied yesterday, says, “IN THAT DAY, you shall ask me nothing. Whatsoever you shall ask the Father IN MY NAME, He will give it to you.” IN THAT DAY is pointing to the establishment of the NEW COVENANT. At this point, Jesus had not yet died, but He was getting ready to. He was preparing His disciples for the entrance of the New Covenant. He even said so during the last supper. Amen! The Lord's Prayer says, “Thy Kingdom Come. Thy Will be done…” The Kingdom of God has come. The New Testament and the New Covenant are proof of that. We are now living under the New Covenant, not the Old Covenant. We have the Kingdom of God in our hearts. We are born again! Amen! I'm not saying you can't learn something from reciting the Lord's Prayer. And if you are in a dire situation and it is the only thing you can remember, it's better than nothing! Praise God! But in actuality, it is NOT a New Covenant Prayer. We need to realize that Jesus gave this prayer to His disciples towards the beginning of His ministry – not the end. At the end of His earthly ministry, He told them to pray IN HIS NAME. And that is what we are supposed to do. Do not get caught up in traditionalism. Start reading the Bible for yourself. Amen! I want to pray with you right now that your eyes would be open to the possibilities that exist for you when you actually start to pray the way Jesus taught us to pray under the New Covenant – IN HIS NAME. Amen! Let's pray! ONE THING: It isn't always easy but it is always better to do good for God. 1 Peter 2:18-21 Do good in the name of Jesus, to everyone. To better prepare and equip you more to face suffering. Where does our strength come from to endure suffering when doing good for God's glory? God, in your mind and Jesus, in your heart, He suffered too, for you. To endure suffering for doing good is a gracious thing in the sight of God. Since there is no escaping suffering this side of Heaven. How does God want us to respond when we suffer for doing good? Just like Jesus, with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control We are called in our suffering to endure and follow in the steps of Jesus. SALVATION: Jesus Christ lived a perfect, sin free life, He suffered, so that we might be saved by grace through faith from the wages of our sin which is death. Jesus Christ is the example of our response to suffering. LIKE HIM. Jesus Christ is the focus of our faith when we do good. IN HIS NAME. Jesus Christ is the destination when we do good. The Lord Jesus Christ MANIFESTS Himself through the POWER in His Name. Saints, it is this very power that will propel us through the days to come; the POWER IN HIS NAME. Saints we KNOW that as long as we go forth IN HIS NAME, we will not be defeated. The sorrow of this hour compels us to go forward. We are called to go forth in the POWER and AUTHORITY of HIS NAME. It is our charge to go forward to conquer and to take authority over the power of the enemy..in our homes, in our communities, in our cities, and in our nation!  2 Chronicles 14:11 King James Version (KJV) 11 And Asa cried unto the Lord his God, and said, Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God; let no man prevail against thee.

The Church Is Not A Material Building 2. The Church Is Not A Denomination 3. The Church Is Not "Plan B" In The Mind Of God The church was prophesied through the entire Old Testament. All nations were to be blessed by the seed of Abraham (Genesis 22:18) All the families of the earth were to be blessed by Abraham's seed (Genesis 26:4) All kindred of the nations would worship the Lord (Psalms 22:27-28) In the last days all nations would flow to the house of God (Isaiah 2:2-3) The Gentiles would seek the Root of Jesse (Isaiah 11:10) Many nations would be sprinkled with the blood of the Messiah (Isaiah 52:15) Many nations would be joined to the Lord in that day (Zechariah 2:11) The Name of the Lord would be great among the Gentiles (Malachi 1:11) In His Name the Gentiles would trust (Matthew 12:21) 4. The Church Is The Centerpiece Of The Kingdom Of God 5. The Church Is The Only Thing God Ever Had To Buy 6. Think Of The Church As A Spiritual House. The word ''church'' literally means ''an assembly of people.'' When Jesus said, ''I will build my church'' He wasn't saying He would build a place, but that He would build a people. He was not saying He would build a building, but He would build a body. He did not say He would build a denomination, but that He would build a church.

The Rev. Jackie McCullough was born in Jamaica and raised in New York by her preacher parents. With an inspiring voice that expresses from her heart, she reached out and expanded her domain of influence until she was world-renowned. Raised with a strong church influence, McCullough received her first call to the ministry when she was 16 years old. However, she wanted to be a medical doctor, and when she finished high school she went to nursing school, then worked as a pediatrics nurse at Harlem Hospital. After seven years of nursing, while planning to obtain her medical pediatrics degree, she was once again called upon by her Lord to be a minister. As her personal life had been tragic due to a divorce and the death of her two-hour-old, full-term, baby, McCullough quit nursing and followed the call. She began to minister to college students on Saturdays, and those in prisons and hospitals on Sundays. Her ministry began in the streets, and that influence is still reflected in the songs she writes, as she makes the text applicable to the pain felt by the street people. As a minister with the Elim International Fellowship, McCullough preaches over 120 times a year to audiences all over the U.S., Africa, Asia, Japan, and especially in Jamaica. Starting in 1997, McCullough started a yearly crusade to Jamaica that included doctors, dentists, and nurses along with the ministry. Each year they give away over 250,000 dollars of medication there. In October 1998, Interscope released McCullough's first album, This Is for You Lord. While she didn't actually sing any of the songs on this album, she did write all of them except the lead track, "In His Name," which was co-written with George E. Hyman Jr. She claims she hears the melody and words in her head but just can't sing.

Archives Listen to the Prayer Audio: PRAYER FOCUS: REMOVING THE VEIL FROM THE EYES OF AMERICA TO REVEAL THE ENEMY BEHIND THE VEIL WHO IS CAUSING THE TURMOIL, CHAOS AND UNREST IN REBELLION TO GOD’S PLAN FOR US! Heavenly Father Here we are Your faithful remnant of Prayer Warriors of the Strike Force of prayer.  We seek Your Protection through Holy Warrior Angels around us to stop the evil plots of destruction in America and throughout the earth.  That we will be taken off the enemy’s radar, his frequencies scramble and that all his chaos released will stay in his own camp and those who have chosen to align with him will fall on their sword and face the Diving Justice before You, O Lord! Father, we know that You hear us and will bring about answers to the prayers we raise today and every moment we come before you personally and together in the unity of the Holy Spirit.  We are armored up and ready to fight under the banner of the Love of Jesus. In His Name we have the authority to bring down the strong man and smash through his barriers and blockades before us because we are victorious in Jesus name and Your Son has told us be without fear for He has already overcome the world and we are here to follow in His footsteps to expand Your Kingdom here in America throughout the earth, especially in Canada, England, Australia New Zealand, Italy and the Netherlands.  Lord we seek that all will have an anointed leader under the spirit of David as you have given us President Trump that they two will see the move of the Holy Spirit blow across their nation.  So, Father as You have given us the America, we rejoice in the miracles You are bringing to pass here and around the earth. Father in Jesus’ Name we come against all those who have aligned themselves with a world order in any form they have taken.  Remove the veil from the eyes of more of Americans to see what has been going on to bring down the Life we have.  Expose more of the wicked darkness and the plots of those who are treasonous and seditious against us.  That President Trump and those he has chosen to bring Justice and a renewal of our government by the People, for the people and by the people.  Protection for all who are being used now in Law Enforcement to capture the enemy and bring them to Justice.  Lord, that Americans will stand united to defend and uphold the sacred documents that govern us.  The Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and all laws that are based on biblical principles!  Forgive us for having been so fearful to speak out and be true defenders of the Truth and to promote Life and stop the atrocities of abortion, sexual perversion, child abuse and all forms of degradation of men women and children!  Lord, we are here with humble contrite hearts to be one with Your Will and to obey Your Commands. What is on Your Heart Father is what we are one with.  Your Will be done and ours be in submission to You just as Jesus showed us in the Garden before He fulfilled the Sacrifice that set us free and made us new again as Your Family.  We are so grateful for all that Your Son has done for us.  We are so grateful of what You are doing now in this generation and bringing to pass what has been prayed for and has been in our hearts to see a return to America as the land of the free and the home of the brave. Father we intercede for all those who have lost loved ones through the destructive force that have occurred in Texas and the Midwest.  Lord that the spirit of violence and murder be stopped now and that all those who have incited or controlled this in happening be brought to Justice and suffer the consequences of their actions.  Lord let Your Peace rule over the hearts of us all and trust You to bring about all that has been prophesied by Mark Taylor and others.  Lord through our voice we speak agreement and declare that these words be fulfilled now in this generation and open the door of the future with a ...

(Ex.12:37-42;   Ps.136:1,10-15,23-24;   Mt.12:14-21)   “All the Israelites must keep a vigil for the Lord throughout their generations.”   After four hundred and thirty years, as one man the Israelites left the land of Egypt.  More than a million people all told were “rushed out of Egyptand had no opportunity even to prepare food for the journey.”  And so the exodus from sin we all must make is here prefigured.  And in thanks for such grace from the Lord, whose “mercy endures forever,” who “freed us from our foes,” we keep constant vigil.  Knowing the manner of our first release from slavery, we watch now for His return. “Many people followed Him and He cured them all.”  All those who walk in the wake of the Lord know His saving power.  For He is endowed with the Spirit of God; of Jesus, the prophet writes: “Here is my servant whom I have chosen, my loved one in whom I delight.”  And so those who approach Him know the “mighty hand” and “outstretched arm” of God in the healing of all their ills.  Yet mighty as is His work, so gentle is its coming forth.  For it is not in great fanfare but rather great humility that Jesus has come into our midst to save us.  Though His works are great, His person is meek.  Much as the silent NAME shared with Moses, much as the “still, small voice” which spoke to Elijah, so is this WORD of God made flesh.  “He will not contend or cry out, nor will His voice be heard in the streets.”  For His is a voice which does not pass away with the dimming of its sound; His voice is not a clanging gong, empty of substance, but is filled to bursting with love and mercy, and goes forth in the silence of a pure heart.  It is for this silence we listen.  It is for His love we keep vigil. “He sternly ordered them not to make public what He had done.”  We must join Him in silence.  In telling no one, all will know.  It is by faith all is done.  Indeed, our light shines forth from this quiet heart.  Shshsh… (listen for the voice of God). The Israelites moved at once from the land of bondage.  The Lord has set us free now from our sins, brothers and sisters, and one day He will come again – He is knocking at the door even now – and take us to the presence of God.  Are we watching for His coming?  Are we ready to leave all behind?  Do we follow Him with such abandon even this day?  If we do, the word shall go forth from our lives.  If we do, we make Him known, and so we can be sure, “In His Name, the Gentiles will find hope.”  As we keep vigil for the Lord, His Word goes forth to the ends of the earth and shall lead all souls out of slavery to the mountain of God.  Watch, and listen.  The time is nigh.   ******* O LORD, come to save us – your mercy is our only hope. YHWH, in your Son we find our hope for release from this place of slavery.  His justice our hearts cherish, for in His justice is shown your mercy.  O let us be prepared for departure from the land of Egypt, from bondage to sin and death; may every night be a night of vigil for Jesus' return. All at once you will take us from the darkness of this world into your presence, O holy LORD.  You will stretch out your hand as you have done once and again, and lead us through the midst of the sea on dry ground.  As Pharaoh and his force you drown in your mighty wrath, your children shall enter the Promised Land, freed from all their enemies. May your Spirit be upon us as it is on your Son; come in silence to our hearts this day and assure our wounded souls of your salvation, which waits on the horizon.

Now Counts Forever (2 cor 5:9-11) Part 1Have you ever thought about how long eternity is? - Think about the number infinite. 100 years is barely a blip on the eternal radar. “When we’ve been there 10,000 years bright shining like the sun, we’ll have no less days to sing God’s praise than when we’ve first begun.” – Amazing GraceThis life is like a vapor in comparison to the Kingdom of Heaven. But what we do in this life affects eternity. Ok, I’m going to say a few quotes and you tell me who said them, or where they are from? “Brothers, what we do in life, echoes in eternity.” Maximus – Maximus Decimus Meridius (Gladiator) …His full name is just too epic to not say. (opening scene…of the movie Gladiator…) “Hold the line, stay with me, if you find yourself riding in green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled for you are in Elysium and you’re already dead! (and all these roman soldiers are like…hahaha…horses snorting in the background) then he says… Brothers, what we do in life, echoes in eternity.”(they all cheer and wave their swords in the air…) Great movie. But is that true? - Now we know it’s true that at least one thing we do in this life echoes in eternity…that’s receiving Christ as Lord and Savior…that not only echoes in eternity that determines where you spend eternity! - But is that it? Does everything else just wash away? - This morning I want to show you that yes, what we do in this life does matter. Way more than any of us can really comprehend… - The Bible has a lot to say about Heavenly Rewards. In fact Jesus himself references heavenly rewards more than 50 times! o Eternal rewards for the things you do in this life are a massive part of the Kingdom of Heaven! We are in a series called The Kingdom: Seeking and Savoring the Rule and Reign of Jesus Christ in everyday life… And this morning I want to show you that Seeking and savoring Christ’s rule and reign in this world, comes with eternal rewards in the age to come! This is what I want to talk about this morning… Eternal Rewards. Risen Church, you need to get this deep down in your soul…There is more to this life and the next than just escaping the fires of hell. Jesus didn’t just come to set you free from your sin and liberate you from eternal condemnation, HE came to bring you eternal life! To Redeem, and to restore, and to invite you into an eternally significant purpose! Hear this:- Salvation is not a result of works. It is the free gift of Christ.- It’s the fundamental foundation of life in Christ, but it is just the beginning! It’s ground zero! It’s the foundation of a life designed for the Kingdom of Heaven! - There is so much more to the Kingdom of heaven than just being saved from Hell! - I’ve titled this morning’s sermon: “Now Counts Forever” – Sam Storms Here’s what I want you to get…so write this down.. Faith in what Jesus did for you at the cross determines WHERE you spend eternity. But how you spend your life here and now determines HOW you will spend eternity. (say X 2) Now counts forever. Go with me to 2 Corinthians 5:9-119 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. (Speaking to Christians who want to please God.)10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. 11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade others. We will all appear before the judgment seat of Christ… Revelation 20:11-15(gives us a vivid picture of this)11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judgedby what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. The word Judgement is the Greek Crema… “decision made as the result of an investigation”- So we will all stand before the throne of God….a- Our hearts exposed…- Everything done in secret revealed… 1 cor. 4:5 There will be no hiding, or convincing, or talking it out or being misunderstood. No, he will see all. Jesus’ eyes in revelation are described as being flames of fire. And when he looks at you on this day with fire in his eyes, hes gonna penetrate and he’s gonna know. - But he’s also gonna know. He understands. Two kinds of evaluations/or judgments will take place… The first is the one most of us are very aware of. Judgement of our eternal destination….This is the part of judgment day that most of us think of. - This is what we just sang about. Before the throne of God aboveI have a strong, a perfect pleaA great high Priest whose Name is LoveWho ever lives and pleads for meMy name is graven on His handsMy name is written on His heartI know that while in heaven He standsNo tongue can bid me thence departNo tongue can bid me thence depart Remember the one on the throne is the one who died for you! - The one judging you is the one who saved you! - ….and it’s at this point that God Almighty will look at you …sinner though you are! Every deed both good and bad written in that book exposed! On display! - And The Righteous Judge of eternity will look at me, sinner though I am, and speak from that great white throne…with fire in his eyes and say…NOT GUILTY!!!- That’s the beauty of the cross. And it won’t be an unrighteous thing. In fact it would be unrighteous for him to look at those in Christ and declare them unrighteous. That’s the power of the cross! John Allen…Sinful man, not good enough by any standard on my own…declared Not Guilty by the righteous verdict of The King of Glory!!! OhWhen Satan tempts me to despairAnd tells me of the guilt withinUpward I look and see Him thereWho made an end to all my sinBecause the sinless Savior diedMy sinful soul is counted freeFor God the just is satisfiedTo look on Him and pardon meTo look on Him and pardon meBehold Him there the risen LambMy perfect spotless righteousnessThe great unchangeable I amThe King of glory and of graceOne with Himself I cannot dieMy soul is purchased by His bloodMy life is hid with Christ on highWith Christ my Savior and my God!With Christ my Savior and my God! - Not somebody else’s savior, not somebody elses’ God. My Savior, My God! Hidden in him, Risen in Christ for eternity! - This is the power of the resurrection, this is the foundation of all we do!! If that doesn’t stir your heart you need to fast and pray some more!! So the first judgment is about salvation. And all of us will be judged according to what we have done (vs. 12)… Romans 2:66 He will render to each one accordingto his works That doesn’t mean that you are judged by your works though… Ephesians 2:8-9 makes it very clear… For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.. - Salvation is a free Gift! You can’t earn it, you can’t buy it. No amount of obedience or good deeds can save you. Only faith in Christ can save us from the eternal damnation we all deserve. So salvation is not a result of works! - While unfortunately most people are very confused about this in our world…they think if their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds that’s what gets them into Heaven. - That’s totally wrong. Nobody will ever be good enough…that’s why we all need Jesus! This is basic Christianity 101. Salvation by Grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. - - But that doesn’t mean that what you do doesn’t matter. In fact this phrase Judged according to your works…means that your works will be used as corroborating evidence for true saving faith on that day of judgment. - In other words…Faith without works is dead. …as Jesus’ brother put it in James… James 2:18Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. (a little snarky …but it’s ok…it would have been tough to have jesus as your older brother…like why can’t you be like your older brother James…everybody wants to be like Him…I don’t know mom, maybe cuz he’s the son of God..)- Inevitably somebody is thinking…well we’re still all called to be like Jesus…(calm down…it’s just a joke) This confusion by the way is one of the reasons why people don’t teach on eternal rewards! - They are afraid people will fall into works righteousness.. So lets make it clear. Again…Faith in what Jesus did for you at the cross determines WHERE you spend eternity. And that’s the first portion of this judgement. If your life is hidden in Christ as your lord and savior, then this appointment is something you should be looking forward to!!! Which is what I’m going to get into next…but first I want to make sure I point out that if your life is covered by the righteous blood of Christ. - If you have not placed your faith in him as your lord and savior, and your life has not been transformed by his love…- Then your name will not be written in that book of life. And just like there are different levels of Heavenly reward, the same holds true for Hell. Not only will you be condemned to the lake of fire…but we know that Even that lake of fire which represents eternal punishment will have levels that are a custom fit….(I don’t have time to get into this…but lets just say the Righteous judge will visit his wrath in very equal measure….) …one reference I’ll throw out there is what Jesus had to say about people who would harm little children…. He said with all the wrath and fury of Eternity behind him…. It is better for them to have a 2 ton millstone tied around their neck and drowned in the ocean, than for them to harm one of these little ones.…When God says, Vengeance is mine…He means it. - We can trust that he will enact justice on our behalf in a way that we can’t even fathom. That’s why we can pray for our enemies. So that’s the first portion of this judgement…has to do with salvation: Faith in what Jesus did for you at the cross determines WHERE you spend eternity. But is that it? Look at vs 10 of 2 Corinthians 5…10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. For those in Christ, condemnation is totally off the table…For those who are in Christ…you may approach the throne boldly!! In love!! The one who sits upon it is your savior! His name is love! - This is not aboutcondemnation, now it is about commendation!! - And this is what I want you to really get in your heart!! Faith in what Jesus did for you at the cross determines WHERE you spend eternity. But how you spend your life here and now determines HOW you will spend eternity. (say X 2) Jesus made reference to heavenly rewards more than 50 times… yet I think we tend to be a bit hesitant to say they are a major motivator in our lives…Even though it’s clear that Jesus presents them that way… Like you might say well…I don’t do it for any other reward than Christ himself! - Shouldn’t he be the only reward I need? - Isn’t Christ enough? Like the psalmist who says, “Whom have I in heaven but you, and there is nothing on earth that I desire but you!” Or Paul, who declared, “I count everything as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my lord!” John Piper put it like this:“Christ is revealed more fully, when he’s revealed not only immediately to the eyes of the heart by the Holy Spirit because of his moral and spiritual excellencies, but also when he is revealed mediately through things he has made and done in creation. Physical creation. Things which we experience in our own created physical bodies, not only in our created spiritual souls. That’s why God created a material universe and he created the earth and he created us with physical bodies and capacities to experience good through the created material existence. So the bible says we are to eat and drink and do everything in our physical bodies to the glory of god. which must mean that the pleasures of God that he has built into the taste of food are not designed primarily as competitors with God’s beauty but as means of it’s communication. He’s communicating something of himself with the good creation he has made. So the creation becomes one of the ways that we taste and see that the Lord is good. This is not only true now, but it will also be true in the resurrection! (Even more so!) That’s why there is a resurrection of the body and not just an immortality of the soul. The whole creation will be adapted to be a perfect dwelling for the children of God so that it functions perfectly to reveal Christ and to be the means by which we will most fully enjoy Christ! “Christ indeed is our reward and everything else, morally and spiritually and physically inside us and outside us in the universe, crowns, stars, cities, health, friends, family, great saints etc…everything else with him that will maximize the communication of his glory and our happiness in Him through it. If God thought that Christ could be known most completely and enjoyed most fully by being the solitary object of our awareness with no created reality as means I don’t think God would have created a material universe in the first place, but only immaterial souls. He didn’t do it that way, and he’s not going to do it that way in the future. So Christ is our reward, and everything else is our reward that more fully reveals him and enables us to enjoy him.” - When God gives us good things on the earth, they are given to us so we can experience the fullness of His glory better! So are heavenly rewards the right motive? For doing good things on earth? - You might say, well my only motive is the love of Jesus. I just want to please him. YES. That is what these rewards represent. His pleasure expressed for eternity! Heavenly Rewards represent the pleasure of Jesus being expressed upon you for eternity! C.s. lewis “if you read history, you will find that it was the Christians who did the most for the present world were just those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world they have become so ineffective in this one.” The way we live now, will determine the way we live in eternity! So if these Rewards are eternal expressions of God’s love… How do we get them? - Every sacrifice you make for His Sake, In His Name, for his Kingdom, will come with an eternal reward… - Praying for your enemies, serve others, engaging and embracing people with the love of Christ… putting your flesh to death when that person is annoying you… in that moment at 3:30am when your child woke you up for the 8thtime that night…or when you feel fully justified in shaming, or attacking, or holding onto that bitterness…and you lean into the Spirit of God, repent and forgive quickly, often and completely. - When you exercise the fruit of the spirit, rather than the fruit of your flesh. Especially when your circumstances make you feel entitled to act out of your flesh…that anger, or rage, or criticism wells up… and instead you lean into God’s grace…o And walk out your faith in love…- None of it will go unseen or unrewarded in eternity!- Jesus talks about the smallest act of caring for one of His disciples simply because they are His disciples as something that will come with an eternal reward!- Even something as simple as giving them a cold cup of water. It’s about obedience of the heart….when nobody else sees…In when I say obedience I’m not talking about that empty religious stuff that does things you don’t want to do because you have to. We just saw that there is no condemnation for those in Christ. But there is commendation. True obedience from the heart is faith worked out in love. That’s what will get rewarded!!Write this down: “Only what is done for Christ remains.” In 1 Corinthians 3 Paul talks about how we are building upon the foundations of Christ and compares an individual the life of a believer to a building…. 1 cor 3:11-1511 For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— 13 each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, (referring to the day of Judgement before the throne of God)because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. This is a picture of someone’s life on this earth. The foundation is of course Jesus..the cornerstone…and they build on that foundation in Now remember that Great White throne? Who sits on that throne? …Jesus…The eyes of Jesus are described in Revelation as flaming fire. On that day, jesus is going to look right into your soul…and he’ll do it with fire in his eyes…and anything you did for yourself, or for attention, or to feed an idol, or for any other purpose than The King and His Kingdom …he’ll see it and it will be burned up. The only things that are done for Christ are what remains. The rest of it is just wood, hay and straw and it burns up. But there’s gold to be had for eternity! - We can trade in our ashes for Gold in eternity!- That when we deal with all the things we struggle with, all the difficulty and sickness, and despair and death and all the sinfulness and the trials of this life…even in the triumphs!o Through trial and triumph we are presented with the opportunity to give God Glory. To operate out of a place of obedience, and that obedience that is faith worked out in love. o Not just that empty dry obedience that’s just religious and trudging through life like “I don’t want to be doing this and this is stupid and I just resent God”. I’m talking about faith in what is to come, and recognizing that I am in love with my savior, I’m not in love with this world, and so I’m gonna operate in my circumstances according to the things that God has said about me, not my circumstances!”This is not about condemnation, it’s about commendation! But there will be those who stand before the throne of God, and you’ll be like that little drummer boy, who has no gift to bring. But you won’t even have a drum. We all want to hear that “Well done good and faithful servant”. We want to hear that!- But I’m telling you, you come in, and all you have is the foundation. You’re saved, but only through fire. I’m telling you’re gonna stand there before Him, and you’re gona be like, ‘I don’t even have a drum’.. - You’re not going to hear, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” I’m sorry, but you’re not. - You’re gonna hear, “Welcome. You’re gonna have a God who loves you, Jesus who will embrace you…o He’s going to look at you with fire in His eyes, and all of that straw and all of that wod and all of that hay is just going to burn up!o What are you pursuing in this life that will carry over into eternity! You want to hear: ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.” Matthew 25:23 - What do you believe? - In that time where life is crushing you? Who will you lean in on? Will you shift your mindset, change your attitude? Are you going to allow the lord to move in the hidden places that nobody knows about. when you’ve been abandoned, hurt, or rejected?- When you feel so justified to hold onto that bitterness, and Jesus says, forgive. Jesus says, Let it go. Be a peace maker, move toward unity. I want you to operate out of Grace. I want you to turn the other cheek. Jesus says, I want you to savor my rule, I want you to seek my reign I want you to operate as a child of the King of the Universe in a world that’s all jacked up and dark, and when you do I will not overlook it for eternity! Not even a cup of cold water given to a disciple because they are a disciple of Jesus, given in the name of Christ, done for him will not go unrewarded!- Even the little things! - In fact it’s the little things which produce the greatest rewards. The consistent everyday, dying to yourself and picking up your cross to follow Him, saying it’s not about my Kingdom it’s about Him. I know I’m frustrated with all these things, but I’m not gonna indulge all that. I’m gonna put my flesh to death and I’m gonna lean into the Spirit. God rewards those things!! What we do in this life echoes in eternity in a glorious way. I pray that you will receive the full reward. There is so much more to this thing than just ‘stop sinning’. It’s about life and life more abundant! – John 10:10 Pray

"You shall call His Name, Jesus...He will save His people from their sins. They shall call His Name Emmanuel, which means God with us." The directions given to Mary and Joseph prior to the first Christmas included the naming of Jesus. In His Name we see His power, purpose and presence. He came to save His people on a rescue mission in both power and purpose to seek and save the lost. He also came to be with us and to bring us into a restored, reconciled, renewed relationship with the Father. This Christmas season, I'd like to remind you that in His presence we experience His power and purpose. And I'd like you to go away knowing that God is near to you today. Why does it matter to you in 2018 that God is near?

Be Bold To Use His Name Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name (Philippians 2:9). It doesn’t matter what the condition is or the challenges that you might be facing; if you’d use the Name of Jesus, victory is assured. The Name of Jesus is superior to all other names. Sickness is a name; death is a name; poverty is a name; depression is a name, but the Name of Jesus is greater than them all. Use that name! Colossians 3:17 tells us to do all things in word or deed in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The name opens every door, and it’s been given to you to live by. You have been given the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus. Fear may attack you and try to hold you in bondage, but refuse to concede; use the Name of Jesus! Declare, “I refuse to fear, in Jesus’ Name!” All of God’s authority has been vested in that name; use it against sickness, disease and death; use it against fear. We all can, and should, use the Name of Jesus. You need not fear any dangers at night or sudden attacks during the day, because we live in His Name. In Acts 3, Peter and John met a man who couldn’t walk. The man was above forty years old, and had never walked from birth. Nobody ever told him it was possible for him to walk with his two legs. You can imagine that his limbs most certainly would have formed calluses from creeping all the time. But Peter, looking him straight in the eye said, “…Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). And that was it! The hitherto crippled man sprang to his feet, walking, jumping, and praising God (Acts 3:7-8). It may be impossible for you to get out of that negative situation in your own name, but not in the Name of Jesus! In His Name, you can walk out of any trouble. The Name of Jesus is the name you can trust; it's the name that never fails! Be bold to use His Name. Prayer Dear Father, thank you for giving me the power of attorney to use the matchless Name of Jesus to effect changes, and control circumstances. I walk in victory and dominion today and always, because I live in, and do all things through the power in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

If you have friends who need healing or a miracle, email them this teaching.    DESCRIPTION: The name of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah gives you the authority and the power to command healing of sickness. In His Name lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. Jesus healed the separation between God and man through his work FOR US, and therefore ended Satan’s dominion over ALL who would trust in Christ! "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might DESTROY the works of the devil." [1 John 3:8]     Jesus "carried" sickness, sin, disease, poverty, and oppression - the works of the devil (Satan) - FOR YOU. Now you don’t have to carry them any longer. They do NOT belong to the believer in Christ! WHAT JESUS DID FOR YOU … YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO!     Now that you know that physical and mental healing belong to the believer in Christ - as much as spiritual healing - you need to know how to obtain it: HOW TO BE HEALED! There are several ways, or avenues, to obtain AND to minister Christ’s healing power. They are listed below: THE WORD OF GOD LAYING ON OF HANDS HOLY COMMUNION ANOINTING WITH OIL PRAYER & PROPER MENTAL ATTITUDE     In the last podcast we discussed how to be healed by the Word of G-d.     In this podcast I am going to teach you how to be healed by the laying on of hands.      LAYING ON OF HANDS     After Jesus Christ was raised from the dead and before he went back to Heaven, he said: "And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues … they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." (Mark 16:17-18)     Notice three things Jesus told us: "In my name …" "you shall lay hands on the sick," "they (the sick) shall recover."     IN MY NAME - It is the name of Jesus the Messiah, (the Holy One of God) which is to accompany the laying on of hands. It is THE NAME that is above every name [Philippians 2:8-9]. The NAME of Jesus Christ joins God’s power to your action.     The name of Jesus identifies you:  it tells "sickness" and "demons" the authority behind your action and command; it tells them you belong to and are a believer in Jesus, the One who conquered them and their master, Satan! The name of Jesus identifies you with the One who CREATED the world and who BOUGHT IT BACK (after Adam’s sin) with his own blood!     Use the name of Jesus with authority: as a citizen of Messiah’s Kingdom. If you are in doubt, just whisper the name of Jesus for a while. "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus …." It will call God’s power to the scene! If it is a case of demon affliction, speak with authority (not your authority, but Christ’s) and say: "You devil, come out! I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of this person!"     YOU SHALL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK - If you are a believer in Jesus, then God wants to use you to heal others. You have the privilege, as well as the responsibility, of laying hands on the sick and praying for them: whether they are Christians or non-Christians. (See Luke 4:40; Acts 28:8.)     Your hands become Christ’s hands:  his tool! The power of the Holy Spirit flows through your hands. You may not see it, you may not feel it … but it is POWER just the same. The devil is afraid of your touch! Because of distance, sometimes, you are not able to lay hands on the sick person. (The person you want to pray for may be in a different city.) You can then send them a "prayer cloth" to be laid on the body of the sick person.     "And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: so that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them."  [Acts 19:11-12]     Prayer cloths are very effective! Demons (evil spirits) are cast out, sick bodies are healed, minds are restored. Pray over the cloth (lay your hands on it) in the name of Jesus Christ and ask God to send deliverance, healing, and blessing. If you need a prayer cloth from Prince Handley, E-mail to: princehandley@gmail.com     If you are a Christian, you have more POWER than the devil ever hoped to have! Satan is afraid of your handkerchief!!     THEY SHALL RECOVER - Forget what your mind or eyes tell you. Believe what God says. You may not see the person you pray for be healed as soon as you think you should … however, you may see them be healed instantly. The important thing is to KNOW that they will recover. (Note: In some cases the sick person may be hindering their own healing; such cases will be covered later in this book under the section: "Prayer and Proper Mental Attitude".)     The Holy Spirit is God’s agent on earth to supply the healing power of Christ. Whether the sick person is healed instantly or over a period of time - whether they feel God’s power or not - Jesus promised, "These signs shall follow them that believe … they shall lay hands on the sick, and they [the sick] shall recover." Your job is to serve by faith in obedience to Christ’s command: "You go … they shall recover." Read again Mark 16:15-18 and notice the command and the promise!
