Bo and Ronan are joined by Bryce Meredith on today's episode. Bryce is a 3x All American Wrestler, 6-0 fighter in the PFL coming off a dominant decision victory at the beginning of April, and one of Bo's oldest friends. The team begins talking about Bryce's recent fight and how he was able to dominate his last opponent. Then they talk about what fighting really is and why do people enjoy watching it so much. The conversation leads the boys down a rabbit hole in discussing how people have been fighting for generations and the different ways they would participate in combat. The tides turn when Ronan brings up Bo's new fight announcement on June 1st against Jacob Malkoun, but Bo quickly tells them that it's fake news. Bo then goes on talking about him and how it would not be a step up in competition for him to take that fight. Also the boys discuss why are people calling Bo out so much? They come to several conclusions about the recent stir up. Later on, Bryce goes into what it is like training with Sean O'Malley and why he believes he is so good at the sport. They also go over how he is completely different than people perceive him to be. The media shines him in a different light and Bryce explains what it is really like training with one of the best fighters right now. The finish up the boys recap the Olympic Trials from this past weekend. They go over all the highs and the lows from the tournament including, Aaron Brooks defeating David Taylor to represent the United States, Jason Nolf against Kyle Dake, and many other matches. The same can be said for the prelims, as they carry the only other ranked fight on the card, and it is also a women's bout, this time between Virna Jandiroba and Lupita Godinez. It's bad enough that we lost the Neil Magny vs. Daniel Rodriguez fight, but Joanderson Brito vs. Melsik Baghdasaryan was one of the best matchups on this card and we lost Melsik. The weekends action got started with the last Bellator for a few weeks. And have to say '257' main card was stolen by Corey Anderson steller performance. He pushed the pace and then stopped the fight early in the third. The current Light Heavy Champion Vadim Nemkov got a pretty one sided win. BUT, you'd have to think that right now Anderson has made himself the one to beat in the 'Light Heavyweight World Grand Prix'. Then 'Legacy Fighting Alliance' brought Friday home, with 'LFA 104'. And it opened with a BANG, as Roland Dunlap kicked the doors off with a HUGE SLAM KO. And Thomas Petersen kept the momentum going with his first round KO win. The card had solid fights, BUT, Javier Garcia and Yuma Horiuchi both snatched victory with come from behind submissions. Especially Garcia who was 11 seconds away from a clear decision loss!!! 'UFC on ESPN 22' did its thing Saturday night with a solid card, considering late fight cancellations. The BIG standouts of the night were Tony Gravely who got the whole night going with his second round stoppage win. And then Gerald Meerschaert who may have saved his job with a first round rear naked choke submission! Both fighters picked up a bonus for their performances! Jessica Penne came back from four years away to earn a well deserved victory! Jacob Malkoun put on a wrestling clinic and Andrei Arlovski after stepping in on short notice, really did his thing with fast hands and slick foot work. AND, in the Main event, Robert Whittaker REALLY put on a masterful performance and declaration that its time for 'The Reaper' to get back in there with 'Stylebender'.
