We started the hour talking about the Yankees and whether their fans want to face the Astros in the playoffs or if they are trying to avoid them. Two of our Yankees fans called and neither thought they could make it to the World Series. Boomer said the AL & NL are wide open for any playoff team to make it to the World Series. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Yankees barely beating the Twins even though they had a 10-1 lead. Francisco Lindor's wife played the National Anthem on the violin before the game. Lindor himself homered a little while later. Cal Raleigh hit 2 more home runs to make it 56 on the year. Jerry Jones was asked about the phrase, ‘glory hole'. Stephen A. Smith talked about Molly Qerim leaving ESPN. In the final segment of the hour, Gio's wife had to go into the city last night for a friend's birthday and that sounds like a nightmare.
Hour 1 We started the show with the Mets, who had a big first inning and beat the Padres. We have 11 more games to go and the Diamondbacks are right on their heels. Gio is encouraged by last night. Boomer thought he gave up on the Mets. Gio thinks the Yankees should want to play the Astros so they can pay them back. The NFL came out and said Tom Brady is allowed to be in the Raiders' coaches' booth. Boomer has a cold already, so we set the over/under for illnesses for the show this Fall/Winter. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with something strange Al did on Monday that involves him being a ‘penis hypochondriac'. The Mets scored 5 in the first. The Yankees had a 10-1 lead and barely hung on to beat the Twins. Cal Raleigh hit his 55th and 56th home runs of the season. In the final segment of the hour, Gio has an odd story involving multiple men in a Penn Station bathroom. Gio has so many questions. Hour 2 The Giants play the Chiefs this week and Boomer said the Giants are going to be in for a rude awakening on offense as the Chiefs have a very good defense. The Chiefs have struggled offensively for the last 3 games. Boomer also said Brian Daboll is not getting fired during the season no matter what happens. This is actually a great time for the Giants to be playing the Chiefs. Gio said the sportsbooks are begging you to take the Giants at 5 ½. Gio thinks it's a ‘get right spot' for the Chiefs. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Yankees squeaking by the Twins after having a 10-1 lead and the Mets' big first inning as they beat the Padres. Nick Sirianni had to answer questions about his team being offside on the tush push. Dabo Swinney said if they're tired of winning, they can let him go. In the final segment of the hour, country singer Zach Bryan tried to fight another country artist, Gavin Adcock, at a festival. Hour 3 We started the hour talking about the Yankees and whether their fans want to face the Astros in the playoffs or if they are trying to avoid them. Two of our Yankees fans called and neither thought they could make it to the World Series. Boomer said the AL & NL are wide open for any playoff team to make it to the World Series. Smith talked about Molly Qerim leaving ESPN. In the final segment of the hour, Gio's wife had to go into the city last night for a friend's birthday and that sounds like a nightmare. A Tuesday night Broadway show. Hour 4 Gio talked about taking a flight out of JFK and how expensive it cost to park but we still pay it because we want to get out of there. We also talked about choosing self-checkout over going to a cashier and how valet parking people are sometimes in cahoots with criminals. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first we hear from Cardi B as she said she and Stefon Diggs are having a baby. We heard from Pete Carroll on his relationship with Tom Brady. Brady is playing in some flag football game in Saudi Arabia. The Mets scored 5 runs in the first and beat the Padres. Evan Cedric Mullins homered. The Yankees had a 10-1 lead and then barely beat the Twins, 10-9. Cal Raleigh hit 2 more home runs making it 56 on the season. The Moment of The Day: Al had pain down there and used a mirror to find out what was wrong. In the final segment of the show, Mike Hill from Boomer's Foundation stopped by and told us about going to Burning Man.

Norm is fired up — and when Norm is fired up, you know the Cowboys have done something worth talking about. In this episode of Just Wondering, Norm takes a hard look at how Jerry Jones might have finally learned his lesson after the Micah Parsons trade. He breaks down how years of “wait-and-see” contract strategies cost the Cowboys a fortune, and why the team's new aggressive approach to signing players early could actually pay off big. Then, it's a ride around Texas college football as Norm highlights some hot starts, big wins, and the Aggies' heart-stopping upset of Notre Dame that just might reset expectations for the rest of their season. As always, Norm mixes smart analysis with just the right amount of sarcasm, giving you a fresh way to think about the games you watched — and the ones you didn't. Ed Werder's authoritative voice on all things Dallas Cowboys brings three decades of perspective to our deep dive into the franchise's most pressing issues. The veteran reporter, who began covering America's Team in 1989, doesn't mince words about the controversial Micah Parsons trade: "Almost nothing the Cowboys can do can justify trading Micah Parsons." Werder compares this move to the historic Herschel Walker deal but notes a crucial difference—Parsons is entering his prime at 26, while Walker was further along in his career. The conversation shifts to a fascinating exploration of Jerry Jones' true motivations. Does the owner define success as Super Bowl victories or simply keeping the Cowboys at the center of the NFL conversation? Warder suggests the latter might be true, noting that while Jones claims he'd "write any check" for another championship, he refuses to make the one sacrifice that might matter most—relinquishing his general manager role. "He'll never do that," Warder states definitively. We dive into the Netflix docuseries "America's Team," where Werder features prominently, sharing firsthand accounts of the dynasty years. He reveals the inside story of how he broke the news of Jimmy Johnson's firing after Jones personally told him, "I'm going to fire that MF-er." Thirty years later, the Jones-Johnson relationship remains fractured, with neither man having fully moved past their bitter split. Werder also provides sobering insights into Troy Aikman's playing career, revealing the quarterback suffered so many concussions he sometimes couldn't remember playing entire games—a stark reminder of how NFL player safety has evolved. For Cowboys fans wondering what to expect this season, Werder offers a measured assessment of the team's prospects without Parsons, projecting around nine wins given their challenging schedule. His encyclopedic knowledge of the franchise brings historical context to current challenges, delivered with the candor and insight that has made him a trusted voice in sports journalism for decades. The Try That in a Small Town Podcast is powered by e|spaces! In this hilariously unfiltered episode of The Ben and Skin Show, Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray dive deep into the Cowboys' latest rollercoaster of a game, blending sharp football analysis with laugh-out-loud moments that only this crew can deliver. From Cooper Beebe's injury and the rise of Brock “Lobster” Hoffman, to Terrence Steele's head getting pushed off on every snap, the gang breaks down the offensive line struggles with brutal honesty and signature wit. But the real MVP of the episode? Brian Schottenheimer, aka “Schottie,” whose post-game press conference includes:His 92-year-old mom breaking her arm at the airportTwo dogs bitten by snakesA vodka-water-three-limes ritual he calls “a couple shotties”The crew also roasts Jerry Jones for not knowing the overtime rules, debates the absurdity of offsetting penalties, and questions why taunting is still a thing. And yes, Joe Flacco still exists, somehow throwing picks in 2025.
"How do you scheme a pass rush when your best weapon is gone and your defense looks lost?"In this electric episode of The Ben and Skin Show, Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray dive deep into the Dallas Cowboys' chaotic win over the Giants — a game that left fans scratching their heads despite the victory. From a 21-play, 110-yard opening drive that felt like a slow-motion car crash to the emergency signing of Jedeveon Clowney mid-game, the crew breaks down the bizarre decisions, questionable coaching, and defensive breakdowns that defined the matchup. KT hilariously dubs Giants head coach Brian Daboll as “Mr. Banana Bread,” questioning his authority as his team spirals with penalties and poor execution. One of the funniest moments? The gang's disappointment that Jerry Jones didn't attempt to pronounce “Jadavian”, robbing listeners of what could've been an all-time Jerry-ism. “We love Josephine Clowney,” KT jokes, imagining Jerry's version of the name. The hosts also dissect the Cowboys' defensive woes — from Micah Parsons' absence exposing the lack of depth, to Donovan Wilson playing out of position, and Matt Eberflus' questionable scheme.

It is just a regular hour 2 on the Tobin and Leroy show as Hour Tua has been suspended indefinitely, which means despite Tobin saying he was done with the EuroBasket updates because all the Heat guys have been eliminated… he must still give more. Leroy steps away for a bit to do a Cleveland hit, so Tobin and Brittney get into some Canes football and what they think about their matchup versus USF. Then it is time to dip into our Mixed Bag we hear from Stephen A Smith, Steve Sarkisian, and Jerry Jones.
It's another wild ride on the Tobin and Leroy Show, and the Dolphins are still living rent-free in Leroy's head—so much so that he had to explain to his doctor why his heart rate's been through the roof since Sunday. We kick things off with a mix of leftover Dolphins frustration, a look ahead to the Canes' highly anticipated matchup with USF, and Tobin trying (and failing) to get Brittney hyped for Canelo vs Crawford using bad F1 analogies. Just when Tobin thinks he's dodged Dolphins talk for a segment to talk about boxing, Leroy hijacks it with some Tua takes. In Hour 2, “Hour Tua” is officially suspended (for now), but that doesn't stop Tobin from relapsing into EuroBasket updates—despite saying he was done. While Leroy steps out for a Cleveland hit, Tobin and Brittney dive into more Canes talk, and then it's time for the always unpredictable “Mixed Bag,” featuring soundbites from Stephen A. Smith, Steve Sarkisian, and Jerry Jones. Leroy returns in Hour 3 just in time to be confused by Mike McDaniel again, and we get into a hilarious story about Dolphins fans launching a GoFundMe for a “Fire Grier and McDaniel” banner to fly over Hard Rock Stadium. We don't knock the hustle. Then it's time for our favorite Wednesday tradition—Rats Off A Ship—with rumors flying about Jon Gruden to Miami and Andrew Wiggins to the Lakers. Finally, in Hour 4, the Dolphins pain continues with injury news about Austin Jackson, and former Dolphins RB Ricky Williams joins the show to preach patience to the fanbase. Tobin immediately agrees with him—much to Leroy's frustration, since he's been saying the same thing for weeks. Naturally, Tobin has to keep the heart rate rising by playing a McDaniel clip on Darren Waller, leaving Leroy completely speechless.
