Lambert has shown nationally and internationally including solo exhibitions at Freight+Volume Gallery (NYC), Denny Gallery (NYC), Lu Magnus Gallery (NYC) Art in Buildings (NYC), now defunct Thomas Robertello Gallery (IL), Gravity Gallery (MA) and IMART in South Korea.  Her work has been included in numerous group exhibitions including at the Ringling Museum of Art (FL), The University of Michigan in Kalamazoo (MI), Torrance Art Museum(CA), Asya Geisberg (NY), Underdonk (NY) Katherine Markel Fine Art (NYC) and Alice Gauvin Gallery (ME). She has completed public art projects for the Department of Transportation in NYC and elementary schools in NYC and New Hampshire. Better late than never! Dave Darling and I sit around the campfire at the Eastern Traditional Archery Rendezvous (ETAR) and generally BS for a while. Our discussion is very organic, with a few interruptions from our feral kiddos. We discuss Dave's origin story, Kalamazoo Bow Works, and the upcoming Kalamazoo Traditional Bowhunters Expo. Dave Darling is a  husband and father of 6. He served 12 years in the MI Air National Guard, spent another 10 years as a first responder. Dave received his first longbow at age 3, and grew up among legends in the traditional archery domain, to include his father Greg Darling. David is the founder and owner of Kalamazoo Bow works, where he makes beautifully crafted and fast shooting longbows and recurves. Our guest this week is Jamie McCabe, founder of Special Needs Living Magazine, the first Special Needs magazine in Indiana. Jamie grew up in Waterford, Michigan, and graduated from Waterford Mott High School. She moved to Indianapolis in 2007 to work with Cutco Cutlery where she ran a district office in Kalamazoo Michigan as a District Manager. She has 3 kids - Jordan 11, Jaylin 6, and Jade 4. Her son started having seizures at 18 months old and was diagnosed with Autism at almost 5. He has always been nonverbal but over the last year he has made some incredible progress. Jamie started working as a franchise owner with the N2 Company in 2013. She has run multiple community magazines over the last decade. From her pain to purpose she started the first Special Needs Living Magazine in Indiana in 2020. They expanded to Ohio in 2022 and she is proud to bring one to her home state of Michigan to celebrate, support, connect, and impact the special needs community.
