The Paranormal Heart Podcast welcomes Author Wayne Mallows Date: December 31st, 2024 Segment: 014 Topic: Wayne discusses Book 1 of The Vampyre Tales Series - Whitechapel Road - A Vampyre Tale About The Author: Wayne is the Author of the Vampyre Tales Series. He began writing when he was in grade school because he found it relaxed him, and helped him to “escape” the real world. As time went on, he was given the opportunity to teach a drama class at a local high school, to which he accepted and focused on the importance of stage presence and character building. This later led to a request that would change everything for him. He was asked to create a “believable” Vampire character, and not only did he comply, but his character went on to become his personal persona that would later thrive as the main character of the Vampyre Tales. His books have been taking vampire fans on a journey of their own, leaving a trail of rave reviews and one award thus far, and it's only the beginning. He was also the “head vampire” for one of Canada‘s largest theme parks, for the Halloween season several years running which attracted the attention of other organizations. He was hired as a consultant, to build their theatrical haunted houses for the and Screamers in Ottawa Ontario Canada, operated by the Kiwanis was the first, then went on to become a well-known Halloween hotspot . Being non for profit, other Kiwanis divisions throughout the country have since based their Halloween haunts on the Ottawa location, and the creativity behind the origins, have come from Wayne Mallows. Tane Casserley is our guest today on the Outdoor Adventure Series. Tane is a Research, Resource Protection, and Permitting Coordinator at the Monitor National Marine Sanctuary and Mallows Bay - Potomac River National Marine Sanctuary. He is responsible for developing programs to address commercial and recreational uses in and around the sanctuaries.Tane has led NOAA archaeological expeditions in the Florida Keys, the Great Lakes, California, the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, Alaska, and USS Monitor. Anthony Mallows is President and CEO of WATG, one of the world's leading design firms specialising in travel and hospitality. He joins David and Catherine in the latest episode of The Future of Travel podcast series for a wide-ranging conversation about design, infrastructure and human behavior. Anthony reflects the unique complexity of the COVID-19 crisis, considering that for the first time in modern history, lives have been threatened without aggression (i.e. we are not in the midst of a war). Anthony is optimistic that leisure travel will return but argues that three key factors will impact what that ultimately looks like: the impact of this crisis on the human psyche, the tools (e.g. technology) made available to change behaviours, and the regulatory environment we'll likely need to adjust to. He believes local culture will play a much greater role in travel's ‘new normal', while sustainable design, or doing more with less, will finally become a true hallmark of successful development.
