Fifty years of the Memorial Tournament sounds like a sports anniversary, but the real story is what happens when a golf event is built to serve communities. Lindsay and Bruce are joined by the greatest to ever pick up a golf club — Jack Nicklaus. They talk about how Muirfield Village and the Memorial helped put Dublin, Ohio on the map, why the City relationship has lasted for decades, and what “give first” truly looks like.Jack also shares the most personal reason behind the tournament's charitable legacy: a frightening moment when his daughter Nan was a baby and Nationwide Children's Hospital saved her life. That experience shaped a lifelong commitment to children's health, from the Memorial's fundraising impact in central Ohio to the growth of Nicklaus Children's Hospital and clinics across South Florida. Then, Bruce and Lindsay lighten it up with rapid fire: Jack's walk-up song, the pressure putt that taught him to believe in himself, favorite milkshake flavor, and a behind the scenes Happy Gilmore cameo with an ad lib that made the final cut. From golf history to philanthropy and leadership, this conversation delivers with Jack's signature wisdom, wit and vision for a better world. Happy Friday! Rothman and Ice are broadcasting live from Muirfield Village for the second round of The Memorial Tournament. Golfer Ryan Gerard stopped by the desk to chat after his second round. A former NFL player took Joe Flacco to task over his comments about not being a mentor to younger players. We play Overs and Unders. Patrick Mahomes think Travis Kelce still has a lot left in the tank despite a slow start last season. We play Under Pressure. Charles Barkley thinks that Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals is a double must-win. Rothman and Ice strongly disagree over the behavior of an Indianapolis Star media member in the postgame press conference. Buckeye basketball just got some uninspiring news. Speaking of Mahomes, he is now in the same club as Anthony Rothman and Larry Fitzgerald. And we shut things down by Telling the Truth.
Happy Wednesday! It's a full studio with Beamer, DeVier, and Tim May. They begin the show with the news of why Texas doesn't want to play a night game at Ohio State in Week 1. At the bottom of the hour, Kirby Smart has a plan to adjust NIL and the transfer portal, and the guys discuss his plan. In the College Football Pulse, the guys discuss Kalen DeBoer's stance on maybe going to a 9-game SEC Schedule and Steve Sarkisian addresses the reports of the money spent on Texas' roster for next season. Ryan Day took a stroll around Jack's Place today and Nick Saban gave him some advice, also made friends with Justin Thomas. Beamer shares some stories from when he caddied at Muirfield Village. #Buckeyes and more!
Happy National Brisket and/or Burger Day!We are getting robbed of playoff sports right now! Unless you're a Pacer, Thunder, Oiler, or Panthers fan… for the rest of us, every series is at 3-1 and we may have to go a week without games. Also, the CFP is at it again with the SEC and Greg Sankey running over everyone; plus, the CWS regionals have been revealed… Let's rank them. Let's Laugh! As for golf, we head to Ohio to Jack's Place for the Memorial Tournament signature event, where a $4 million winner will be crowned in the Buckeye State. The G.U.Y.S list is BACK for our "models" in our DraftKings DFS lineups (NOT ADVICE); ALSO, the new 6 Tier Winners pack and MDTC Parlay. We're gonna talk a little bit about Muirfield Village golf course and look at some golfers, and pick out a few below the radar studs. We have got all the segments: Salute Your Sports/Headlines, Water Cooler Debate, How Dare You's, and Other Relevant Sports. Also, it would not be a show without the Dad Joke and which one of us Yahoos is leading our inter-squad WOAT-A-MAKER challenge. Happy Thursday! Rothman and Ice are live from Muirfield Village covering the first round of The Memorial Tournament. Ohio State football has revealed kick times for four different games this season, and fans will not be thrilled. 10TV's Adam King joins the desk for some fun. Joe Flacco gives a brutally honest and combative answer when questioned about whether or not he will embrace a mentorship role with multiple young QBs in that room, and it's awesome. Austin Eckroat sits down with the guys following his opening round of the tournament. Pete Fiutak joins the show to talk college football. One of the most famous athletes who ever lived has some family ties that might be heading to Columbus. Mike Vrabel has his hands full with one of his new free agent acquisitions. The Aaron Rodgers hate has gotten so out of control that people are actually inventing new ways to hate him. And we shut things down by Telling the Truth.
A claustrophobic portion of the PGA Tour schedule only gets more crowded this week when players travel to Muirfield Village Golf Club for Jack Nicklaus' annual event, the Memorial Tournament. Welcoming a limited field and featuring a cut to the top 50 players and ties at the halfway point, the Memorial represents the penultimate signature event in the 2025 campaign. Cutmaker Jeff looks at the board for the next signature event on the PGA TOUR, the Memorial Tournament at Jack's place, Muirfield Village. Jeff talks about his best bets and plays for the tourney and why he likes the top of the board to find a winner!
Will Doctor gives you the sharpest card for the action at Jack's Place. -Going over top players on odds board -1 matchup -2 p2p -3 outrights (40/1, 75/1, 110/1) -Sleeper, 2 FRP, scoring -Best Bet Will Doctor delivers a focused and stat-driven breakdown of the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village, offering sharp PGA betting insights, critiques of tour policies, and precise player analysis. He opens with a recap of Week 21's 10-unit loss, missing on Ben Griffin's win despite Griffin's elite short game and putting. Griffin, a two-time winner this season, overcame poor driving stats at Colonial and held off Mati Schmidt and Bud Cawley. Doctor also critiques picks like JT Poston, who faltered due to big numbers, and others like Riley, Højgaard, and Rai, who failed to deliver. Scottie Scheffler is highlighted as a dominant force at Muirfield, with podium finishes in his last three appearances, though Doctor avoids betting him at 3-1 due to putting issues and his third straight week competing. Rory McIlroy receives heavy criticism for skipping his third signature event of the year, including Memorial, without informing host Jack Nicklaus. Doctor dissects the PGA's approach to field size, arguing it unfairly excludes players like Higgo and Phillips while excessively relying on sponsor exemptions for names like Fowler and Snedeker. Muirfield Village is described as a long and punishing course with narrow fairways and small bentgrass greens that reward elite ball-striking and putting accuracy. Top betting lines are reviewed: Morikawa (16-1) is doubted due to form; Schauffele (18-1) lacks Sunday contention; Justin Thomas (25-1) and Patrick Cantlay (25-1) show concerning stats despite course fits. Doctor recommends a matchup bet of Taylor Pendrith over Davis Thompson, citing Pendrith's recent T5 and solid form. Key top finishes include Tony Finau Top 20 (+120) and Shane Lowry Top 10 (+250), with Finau's ball-striking and putting trending positively. Three outright picks are revealed: Lowry (40-1), Novak (75-1), and Bud Cawley (110-1), each supported with course history and recent performance data. Cawley's comeback from injury and recent top-5 finishes are especially praised. Sleeper pick is Cawley to Top 10 (+550), and First Round Top 10s include Lowry (+275) and Novak (+400). Fantasy lineups include combinations of Scheffler, Lowry, Novak, Fowler, Cawley, and Graceman, with strategy adjusted for DraftKings and PGA Tour.com rules. Doctor projects a winning score of 10-under due to rain-softened conditions in Dublin, Ohio. The final best bet is Novak Top 20 (+175), emphasizing his current form and statistical edge.
