Narrated by the author, Surrender is an intimate, immersive listening experience, telling stories from Bono's early days in Dublin, to joining a band and playing sold out stadiums around the world with U2, plus his more than 20 years of activism. Throughout a remarkable life, music has always been a constant for Bono and in the audiobook, his distinctive voice is interwoven with a very personal soundtrack adding atmosphere and texture to each and every scene. From moments of classic U2 hits to snippets by The Clash, Patti Smith, Verdi, Johnny Cash and Mozart, Surrender also exclusively features clips of newly recorded re imagined versions of U2 songs including ‘Sunday Bloody Sunday', ‘With Or Without You', ‘One', ‘Beautiful Day' and more, glimpsed for the first time on Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story.

British journalist Alys Denby walks us through what's happening With Omicron spreading, calls for increased vaccination have resumed. But some communities remain hesitant. A McMaster University study seeks to understand the reasons behind vaccine resistance in the Indigenous community. Visiting restrictions is one of the biggest complaints Ontario's Patient Ombudsman got while investigating long term care homes and COVID-19. But more restrictions are back in care homes because of omicron. Have we learned anything? Are you getting your teachers gifts this year? She also speaks about how we can modify our routines and feel inspired to exercise in the middle of pandemic. Natasha Sharma, the founder of The Kindness Journal discusses how we can find the energy to go forward and feel inspired.
Dr. Natasha Sharma is an Entrepreneur, Author, Speaker, TV/MEDIA and is the Creator the "Kindness Journal." We talk about children , social media and how it affects children's bodies, how to equip them with tools to prepare them for what they are seeing on their phones. This podcast just had so much valuable content, we could have talked forever. Talking with your partner about the values you want to instill in your children and how you are going to role model that in front of them is a good start. Neuroscience says, children are more impulsive and can't regulate or control themselves and can't make a decisions moral when on their phones. TOPICS WE DISCUSS:Younger children have shorter processing windows and therefore can 't make sound decisions quickly online. The NEW WORD OF 2021 is STIMULATION for our generation, it dangerous to our mental health.Normal naked jokes, body jokes and fart jokes are normal to children after various stages of development. Also, exploration for children is a must and finding fun things to laugh at. However, those moments where someone fell and tripped would have be talked about for a day and now it is filmed and permanent in print. What is worrisome to Dr.Sharma is repeated behaviour like fun, natural episodes that are sensationalized are now forever in a photo or video, for all to see 24-7.How can we educate children about their bodies to avoid them developing body image issues?Concerns about children seeking other peer approval instead of a parents is very concerning. Parents help your child become aware of peer pressure, but control that peer pressure and by helping your children feel a sense of belonging. Parents can teach their right from right and wrong to be a good person. We need teach them how to control the phone. Our kids are not equipped to control or regulate themselves on a phone as yet.
