Time for a Friday edition of Glenn Clark Radio! Lots to cover on the program as we get you set for the weekend, Lamar Jackson logged another limited practice session yesterday, we'll dive into what that means for his status Sunday and how telling today's practice report will be for the Bears game. Plus, Game 1 of the World Series is tonight, and the NBA is back so we'll touch it all, the good, the bad and some local guys who have been gracing the NBA floor this week. We're getting a head start on this this morning, so at 10:45am we are going to check in with Baltimore's own, former Maryland Terp Derik Queen to see how he's doing after being drafted in the first round by the New Orleans Pelicans this Summer and chat about making his NBA debut vs the Grizzlies on Wednesday! Since it's a Friday, we are going to check in with Stan ‘The Fan' Charles at 11am, see how Stan is doing this week, get his thoughts on the O's manager search after Scott Servais's name was added to the list candidates and see if he thinks the World Series will last until next Friday. At 11:40am, our weekly celebration of 30 years of Ravens football in Baltimore will continue with Ravens Ring of Honor member Earnest Byner who was the running back for the 1996 Ravens. At 12pm, we will head out to Chicago and see how another former Terp is doing, LB Ruben Hyppolite II, who will be in Baltimore this weekend to take on the Ravens after being drafted by the Bears back in April. Then to wrap the show, we are going to catch up once again with Cam Spencer, former Loyola (MD) Greyhound, now Memphis Grizzlies guard who has accomplished quite a lot since we last chatted, winning a National Championship with UConn, being selected in the NBA Draft, making his NBA debut and signing a mulit-year contract with the Grizzlies!

They then shift over to the other side of the court to break down Cooper Flagg's NBA Debut where the #1 overall pick struggled to get going in his first NBA regular season game, sparking a debate on if the Dallas Mavericks should reconsider running their new face of the franchise at point guard to start his NBA Career. Next, they move over to analyze the 3rd pick in this summer's NBA Draft as VJ Edgecomb shined by dropping 30 points in his NBA Debut and ushered in a new era for the Philadelphia 76ers led by himself & Tyrese Maxey. The Gil's Arena Crew breaks down the Sixers' ceiling with the young guards leading the way and discuss if it's time to be concerned about Joel Embiid as the process looked dreadful in the first game of the season. Send us a textJoe Alexander is a professional basketball player and lifelong student of resilience.Born in Taiwan and raised across Asia and the United States, Joe's journey to the NBA was anything but typical. After years overseas, he returned to the U.S. to play high school basketball in Maryland and went on to star at West Virginia University, where his work ethic and explosive talent made him one of the top prospects in the country. In 2008, he was selected 8th overall in the NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. But Joe's path wasn't linear. Injuries, setbacks, and the unpredictable reality of professional sports forced him to confront what happens when the dream doesn't unfold the way you planned. What followed was a decade of reinvention — playing professionally across Israel, Italy, Turkey, Korea, and beyond, discovering new cultures, and learning what true success really means.Today, Joe speaks openly about growth, identity, and purpose beyond performance. His story is one of transformation — from chasing achievement to finding meaning — and of learning that the game doesn't define you; the person you become through it does.Find Joe at hereSponsored by BluAppleUse Code: Brandi15
