What do you do when you witness dark shadow figures wandering around a cemetery late at night? That’s what one person had to contemplate, today on Real Ghost Stories Online.  Here is a preview of one of our stories.  “When I was 18 years old - a couple of friends and I visited the Pleasant Green Cemetery that's also known as the Magna Cemetery in Salt Lake City. This cemetery is the second oldest cemetery in Utah - it was founded in 1883. It only covers about 10 acres and looks abandoned due to no sprinkling systems. The cemetery is located on the foothills of the Oquirrh Mountains and overlooks the city of Magna. The cemetery has an unsettling vibe, and the hillside can be quite windy. At the time, my friends and I heard some rumors of the sacrifices of pregnant women and children that took place inside the mountain. There's an opening to the inside of the mountain just outside the cemetery fence. One friend and I wanted to check it out while the other two decided to stay in the cemetery, probably the smartest idea that night. Once my friend and I crawled underneath the fence and I got done wiping the dirt off my hands and knees, I noticed all eyes were on us. I looked around and saw children and about three pregnant women in white dresses. The children ranged from 3-12 years old, and some of the pregnant women had blond hair while the others had dark hair. The look on their faces was surprised and shocking. They knew I could see them. I said, "Jeez. All eyes on us," and my friend (who also had some gifts) said, "Right?!". One of the pregnant women shook her head 'no' and mouthed "Turn around." My dumbass didn't listen and started to walk to the metal door that leads to the inside of the mountain. Once we started to walk to the door, all the children and the women started to walk towards us and made two lines on each side of us. A group of college students discovers they are in for the fright of their lives in their new home. One by one, they slowly learn that the dorm house they live in has an extra guest. A ghost.  A listener shares this story. “Four sophomore & junior runners were renting a house together in a neighboring town called Coal Center. It became the central hangout for the track team and our track team parties. (Side note: As the name of the city suggests, yes, there were creepy abandoned coal plants overgrown by the forests that I eventually explored, known disasters of the past that had many coal miner fatalities, and TRUE stories about places where mining fires still burn to this day decades later. They will continue to burn underground for years & years from uncontrollable blazes that couldn’t be put out once they started.) Back to this “track house” as we dubbed it…Even though I kept all my belongings in my dorm room, I really lived and slept either at the track house or my new pole-vaulting boyfriend’s house. Weird things happened enough in that track house that it became a joke amongst everyone who lived and visited there to blame unexplained noises or mishaps on our ghost Charlie. I honestly don’t remember who came up with his name, it could have even been me, but it’s too long ago to remember. Even though everyone knew about Charlie, I think most likely, people just thought it was a weird inside joke we shared, but the core group of us knew Charlie was very real. Giving him a name and making it a joke, I think, was our natural way of handling that truth a little easier. I started praying to Saint Michael, and before I knew it, I looked to my right, and I had this vision of Saint Michael getting rid of this figure. Did a grandmother return from the grave to watch over her family as new generations enter the world? Who is the ghostly little girl that one child seems to play with every day? One parent searches for answers as to who this child is, what she wants and why no one can see her beside her daughter.  They write: “When my mom questioned me, I told her about "The Little Girl" being angry and she said that wasn't it I probably bruised myself in my sleep. This happened constantly, and my mom being a non-believer (then) would tell me everything is fine. My aunt on the other hand thought it was a spirit tied to the house. When I was eleven, we moved, and I thought that would be the end of it- I was wrong. At the new location, she appeared again and again, each time her anger increasing immensely, more bruises, larger bruises. One night it got so bad, I couldn't move, I could barely breath and I think I actually saw "The Little Girl" shoulders trembling (she had never moved before) and I started hearing whispers in my room close to my ear so very close. I wanted to run but I couldn't move. After she was gone, I ran to my sisters’ room and was so so so scared. The next morning, I woke up with a bruise on my left shoulder in the shape of a hand palm including the fingers and all it was a small handprint. I showed my family and told them about the whispers and then they started believing. I was taken to church to talk to a priest and he said to pray for "The Little Girl" I did but it never stopped. Others said to ask her what she wanted-but I was too scared. My mom asked my Great Grandma if she heard anything or knew anything odd about the house. My Great Grandma told her that a little girl had died in the house of pneumonia. Her parents had been too poor to buy her shoes, which contributed to the little girl getting sick. And as in the old days they had had the viewing in the front parlor of the apartment. The little girl’s name was Claudia. When she was buried, she was buried with shoes. A little too late, but better late than never. When my Great Grandma finally moves down into that bottom apartment due to age, she never said anything about seeing the little girl. Though the little girl never caused any harm, just a few harmless pranks. I’m sorry this is so long, but I have one more story about my Great Grandma before I go.
